Psalms 75

1 For the end, Destroy not, a Psalm of a Song for Asaph. We will give thanks to you, O God, we will give thanks, and call upon your name: I will declare all your wonderful works.

A ti, ó Deus, glorificamos, a ti damos louvor, pois o teu nome está perto, as tuas maravilhas o declaram.

2 When I shall take a set time, I will judge righteously.

Quando eu ocupar o lugar determinado, julgarei retamente.

3 The earth is dissolved, and all that dwell in it: I have strengthened its pillars. (Pause)

A terra e todos os seus moradores estão dissolvidos, mas eu fortaleci as suas colunas (Selah)

4 I said to the transgressors, Do not transgress; and to the sinners, Lift not up the horn.

Disse eu aos loucos: Não enlouqueçais; e aos ímpios: Não levanteis a fronte:

5 Lift not up your horn on high; speak not unrighteousness against God.

Não levanteis a vossa fronte altiva, nem faleis com cerviz dura;

6 For [good comes] neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the desert mountains.

Porque nem do oriente, nem do ocidente, nem do deserto vem a exaltação.

7 For God is the judge; he puts down one, and raises up another.

Mas Deus é o Juiz; a um abate, e a outro exalta.

8 For [there is] a cup in the hand of the Lord, full of unmingled wine; and he has turned [it] from side to side, but its dregs have not been wholly poured out; all the sinners of the earth shall drink [them].

Porque na mão do Senhor há um cálice, cujo vinho é roxo; está cheio de mistura; e dá a beber dele; mas as fezes dele todos os ímpios da terra as sorverão e beberão.

9 But I will exult for ever: I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

E eu o declararei para sempre; cantarei louvores ao Deus de Jacob.

10 And I will break all the horns of sinners; but the horns of the righteous one shall be exalted.

E quebrarei todas as forças dos ímpios, mas as forças dos justos serão exaltadas.
