< Psalms 75 >

1 For the end, Destroy not, a Psalm of a Song for Asaph. We will give thanks to you, O God, we will give thanks, and call upon your name: I will declare all your wonderful works.
Psalmus Cantici Asaph, in finem, ne corrumpas. Confitebimur tibi Deus: confitebimur, et invocabimus nomen tuum. Narrabimus mirabilia tua:
2 When I shall take a set time, I will judge righteously.
cum accepero tempus, ego iustitias iudicabo.
3 The earth is dissolved, and all that dwell in it: I have strengthened its pillars. (Pause)
Liquefacta est terra, et omnes qui habitant in ea: ego confirmavi columnas eius.
4 I said to the transgressors, Do not transgress; and to the sinners, Lift not up the horn.
Dixi iniquis: Nolite inique agere: et delinquentibus: Nolite exaltare cornu:
5 Lift not up your horn on high; speak not unrighteousness against God.
Nolite extollere in altum cornu vestrum: nolite loqui adversus Deum iniquitatem.
6 For [good comes] neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the desert mountains.
Quia neque ab Oriente, neque ab Occidente, neque a desertis montibus:
7 For God is the judge; he puts down one, and raises up another.
quoniam Deus iudex est. Hunc humiliat, et hunc exaltat:
8 For [there is] a cup in the hand of the Lord, full of unmingled wine; and he has turned [it] from side to side, but its dregs have not been wholly poured out; all the sinners of the earth shall drink [them].
quia calix in manu Domini vini meri plenus misto. Et inclinavit ex hoc in hoc: verumtamen faex eius non est exinanita: bibent omnes peccatores terrae.
9 But I will exult for ever: I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
Ego autem annunciabo in saeculum: cantabo Deo Iacob.
10 And I will break all the horns of sinners; but the horns of the righteous one shall be exalted.
Et omnia cornua peccatorum confringam: et exaltabuntur cornua iusti.
