Psalms 64

1 For the end, a Psalm of David. Hear my prayer, O God, when I make my petition to you; deliver my soul from fear of the enemy.

۱ برای سالار مغنیان. مزمور داود ای خدا وقتی که تضرع می‌نمایم، آوازمرا بشنو و حیاتم را از خوف دشمن نگاه دار!

2 You have sheltered me from the conspiracy of them that do wickedly; from the multitude of them that work iniquity;

۲ مرا از مشاورت شریران پنهان کن و ازهنگامه گناهکاران.

3 who have sharpened their tongues as a sword; they have bent their bow maliciously;

۳ که زبان خود را مثل شمشیرتیز کرده‌اند و تیرهای خود یعنی سخنان تلخ را برزه آراسته‌اند.

4 to shoot in secret at the blameless; they will shoot him suddenly, and will not fear.

۴ تا در کمینهای خود بر مرد کامل بیندازند. ناگهان بر او می‌اندازند و نمی ترسند.

5 They have set up for themselves an evil matter, they have given counsel to hide snares; they have said, Who shall see them?

۵ خویشتن را برای کار زشت تقویت می‌دهند. درباره پنهان کردن دامها گفتگو می‌کنند. می‌گویند: «کیست که ما را ببیند؟»

6 They have searched out iniquity; they have wearied themselves with searching diligently, a man shall approach and the heart is deep,

۶ کارهای بد راتدبیر می‌کنند و می‌گویند: «تدبیر نیکو کرده‌ایم.» و اندرون و قلب هر یک از ایشان عمیق است.

7 and God shall be exalted, their wounds were [caused by] the weapon of the foolish children,

۷ اما خدا تیرها بر ایشان خواهد انداخت. وناگهان جراحت های ایشان خواهد شد.

8 and their tongues have set him at nothing, all that saw them were troubled;

۸ وزبانهای خود را برخود فرود خواهند‌آورد و هرکه ایشان را بیند فرار خواهد کرد.

9 and every man was alarmed, and they related the works of God, and understood his deeds.

۹ و جمیع آدمیان خواهند ترسید و کار خدا را اعلام خواهند کرد و عمل او را درک خواهند نمود.

10 The righteous shall rejoice in the Lord, and hope on him, and all the upright in heart shall be praised.

۱۰ ومرد صالح در خداوند شادی می‌کند و بر اوتوکل می‌دارد و جمیع راست دلان، فخر خواهندنمود.
