Psalms 64
1 For the end, a Psalm of David. Hear my prayer, O God, when I make my petition to you; deliver my soul from fear of the enemy.
Jusqu'à la Fin, psaume de David, Dieu, exauce ma prière pendant que je m'adresse à toi; délivre mon âme de la crainte de l'ennemi.
2 You have sheltered me from the conspiracy of them that do wickedly; from the multitude of them that work iniquity;
Tu m'as protégé contre la troupe des méchants, contre la multitude des ouvriers d'iniquité.
3 who have sharpened their tongues as a sword; they have bent their bow maliciously;
Ils ont aiguisé leurs langues comme des épées; ils ont tendu leur arc, qui est chose amère,
4 to shoot in secret at the blameless; they will shoot him suddenly, and will not fear.
Pour percer en secret l'innocent de leurs flèches.
5 They have set up for themselves an evil matter, they have given counsel to hide snares; they have said, Who shall see them?
Ils l'atteindront soudain, et n'auront aucune crainte. Ils se sont affermis en leurs desseins; ils se sont concertés pour cacher leurs pièges; ils ont dit: Qui nous verra?
6 They have searched out iniquity; they have wearied themselves with searching diligently, a man shall approach and the heart is deep,
Ils ont cherché des iniquités; mais ils ont défailli en leurs recherches. L'homme descendra dans les profondeurs de son cœur.
7 and God shall be exalted, their wounds were [caused by] the weapon of the foolish children,
Mais Dieu sera glorifié; leurs blessures sont comme celles des traits d'un enfant.
8 and their tongues have set him at nothing, all that saw them were troubled;
Leurs langues avaient méprisé le Seigneur; tous ceux qui les ont vus ont été troublés.
9 and every man was alarmed, and they related the works of God, and understood his deeds.
Et tout homme a eu crainte. Et ils ont annoncé les œuvres du Seigneur; et ils ont eu l'intelligence de ses actes.
10 The righteous shall rejoice in the Lord, and hope on him, and all the upright in heart shall be praised.
Le juste se réjouira dans le Seigneur, et il espérera en lui, et tous les cœurs droits recevront des louanges.
