Psalms 148

1 Alleluia, [a Psalm] of Aggaeus and Zacharias. Praise you the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the highest.

Monkamfo Awurade! Monkamfo Awurade mfiri ɔsorosoro, monkamfo no wɔ ɔsoro sorɔnsorɔmmea.

2 Praise you him, all his angels: praise you him, all his hosts.

Nʼabɔfoɔ nyinaa, monkamfo no, ne ɔsoro asafo nyinaa, monkamfo no.

3 Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you stars and light.

Owia ne ɔsrane, monkamfo no, nsoromma a ɛhran nyinaa, monkamfo no.

4 Praise him, you heavens of heavens, and the water that is above the heavens.

Monkamfo no, ɔsoro mu ɔsoro ne mo nsuo a mowɔ ɔsoro atifi.

5 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he spoke, and they were made; he commanded, and they were created.

Momma wɔn nyinaa nkamfo Awurade din, ɛfiri sɛ ɔno na ɔhyɛeɛ na wɔbɔɔ wɔn.

6 He has established them for ever, even for ever and ever: he has made an ordinance, and it shall not pass away.

Ɔde wɔn sisii hɔ afebɔɔ; na wahyɛ nʼasɛm a ɛrentwam da.

7 Praise the Lord from the earth, you serpents, and all deeps.

Monkamfo Awurade mfiri asase so, mo, ɛpo kɛseɛ mu abɔdeɛ ne ɛpo bunu nyinaa,

8 Fire, hail, snow, ice, stormy wind; the things that perform his word.

anyinam ne asukɔtweaa, sukyerɛmma ne omununkum, ahum a moyɛ nʼapɛdeɛ,

9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:

mo, mmepɔ ne nkokoɔ nyinaa, nnua a ɛso aba ne ntweneduro nyinaa,

10 wild beasts, and all cattle; reptiles, and winged birds:

wira mu mmoa ne anantwie, abɔdeɛ nketewa ne nnomaa a wɔtuo,

11 kings of the earth, and all peoples; princes, and all judges of the earth:

asase ne amanaman nyinaa so ahemfo, mo, mmapɔmma ne asase sodifoɔ nyinaa,

12 young men and virgins, old men with youths:

mmeranteɛ ne mmabaawa mmasiriwa ne mmɔfra nso.

13 let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name only is exalted; his praise is above the earth and heaven,

Ma wɔnkamfo Awurade din, na ne din so sene edin biara; nʼanimuonyam korɔn wɔ asase ne ɔsoro so.

14 and he shall exalt the horn of his people, [there is] a hymn for all his saints, [even] of the children of Israel, a people who draw near to him.
