Psalms 141

1 A Psalm of David. O Lord, I have cried to you; hear me: attend to the voice of my supplication, when I cry to you.

Ein Psalm Davids. HERR, ich rufe zu dir, eile zu mir; vernimm meine Stimme, wenn ich dich anrufe!

2 Let my prayer be set forth before you as incense; the lifting up of my hands [as] an evening sacrifice.

Mein Gebet steige vor dir auf wie Räucherwerk, meiner Hände Aufheben sei wie das Abendopfer.

3 Set a watch, O Lord, on my mouth, and a strong door about by lips.

HERR, stelle eine Wache an meinen Mund, bewahre die Tür meiner Lippen!

4 Incline not my heart to evil things, to employ pretexts for sins, with me who work iniquity: and I will not. let me not unite with their choice ones.

Laß mein Herz sich nicht zu einer bösen Sache neigen, daß ich gottlose Taten vollbringe mit den Übeltätern; und von ihren Leckerbissen laß mich nicht genießen!

5 The righteous shall chasten me with mercy, and reprove me: but let not the oil of the sinner anoint my head: for yet shall my prayer also be in their pleasures.

Der Gerechte schlage mich, das ist Gnade; und er züchtige mich, das ist Öl für mein Haupt, dessen sich mein Haupt nicht weigern soll, wenn es auch wiederholt geschieht; ich bete nur gegen ihre Bosheiten.

6 Their mighty ones have been swallowed up near the rock: they shall hear my words, for they are sweet.

Sind ihre Richter in die Felsspalte gestürzt, so wird man hören, daß meine Reden lieblich sind.

7 As a lump of earth is crushed upon the ground, our bones have been scattered by the [mouth of] the grave. (Sheol h7585)

Wie man Samen in die aufgebrochene Erde streut, so unsre Gebeine in den Rachen des Totenreichs. (Sheol h7585)

8 For mine eyes are to you, O Lord God: I have hoped in you; take not away my life.

Darum sind meine Augen auf dich gerichtet, o HERR, mein Gott; bei dir suche ich Zuflucht; schütte mein Leben nicht aus!

9 Keep me from the snare which they have set for me, and from the stumbling blocks of them that work iniquity.

Bewahre mich vor der Schlinge, die sie mir gelegt haben, vor den Fallstricken der Übeltäter!

10 Sinners shall fall by their own net: I am alone until I shall escape.

Die Gottlosen sollen allesamt in ihre eigenen Netze fallen, während ich daran vorübergehe!
