< Psalms 122 >

1 A Song of Degrees. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
Canticum graduum. Laetatus sum in his, quae dicta sunt mihi: In domum Domini ibimus.
2 Our feet stood in your courts, O Jerusalem.
Stantes erant pedes nostri, in atriis tuis Ierusalem.
3 Jerusalem is built as a city whose fellowship is complete.
Ierusalem, quae aedificatur ut civitas: cuius participatio eius in idipsum.
4 For there the tribes went up, the tribes of the Lord, as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the Lord.
Illuc enim ascenderunt tribus, tribus Domini: testimonium Israel ad confitendum nomini Domini.
5 For there are set thrones for judgment, [even] thrones for the house of David.
Quia illic sederunt sedes in iudicio, sedes super domum David.
6 Pray now for the peace of Jerusalem: and [let there be] prosperity to them that love you.
Rogate quae ad pacem sunt Ierusalem: et abundantia diligentibus te.
7 Let peace, I pray, be within your host, and prosperity in your palaces.
Fiat pax in virtute tua: et abundantia in turribus tuis.
8 For the sake of my brethren and my neighbors, I have indeed spoken peace concerning you.
Propter fratres meos, et proximos meos, loquebar pacem de te:
9 Because of the house of the Lord our God, I have diligently sought your good.
Propter domum Domini Dei nostri, quaesivi bona tibi.
