Psalms 114

1 Alleluia. At the going forth of Israel from Egypt, of the house of Jacob from a barbarous people,

イスラエルがエジプトをいで、ヤコブの家が異言の民を離れたとき、

2 Judea became his sanctuary, [and] Israel his dominion.

ユダは主の聖所となり、イスラエルは主の所領となった。

3 The sea saw and fled: Jordan was turned back.

海はこれを見て逃げ、ヨルダンはうしろに退き、

4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the hills like lambs.

山は雄羊のように踊り、小山は小羊のように踊った。

5 What [ailed] you, O sea, that you fled? and you Jordan, that you were turned back?

海よ、おまえはどうして逃げるのか、ヨルダンよ、おまえはどうしてうしろに退くのか。

6 [You] mountains, that you skipped like rams, and [you] hills, like lambs?

山よ、おまえたちはどうして雄羊のように踊るのか、小山よ、おまえたちはどうして小羊のように踊るのか。

7 The earth trembled at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

地よ、主のみ前におののけ、ヤコブの神のみ前におののけ。

8 who turned the rock into pools of water, and the flint into fountains of water.

主は岩を池に変らせ、石を泉に変らせられた。
