Job 35

1 And Elius resumed and said,

Y procediendo Eliú en su razonamiento, dijo:

2 What is this that you think to be according to right? who are you that you have said, I am righteous before the Lord?

¿Piensas haber sido conforme a derecho lo que dijiste: Más justo soy que Dios?

3 I will answer you, and your three friends.

Porque dijiste: ¿Qué te aprovechará, que provecho tendré de mi pecado?

4 Look up to the sky and see; and consider the clouds, how high [they are] above you.

Yo te responderé algunas razones; y a tus compañeros contigo.

5 If you have sinned, what will you do?

Mira a los cielos, y ve, y considera que los cielos son más altos que tú.

6 and if too you have transgressed much, what can you perform?

Si pecares, ¿qué habrás hecho contra él? y si tus rebeliones se multiplicaren, ¿qué le harás tú?

7 And suppose you are righteous, what will you give him? or what shall he receive of your hand?

Si fueres justo, ¿qué le darás a él? ¿o qué recibirá de tu mano?

8 Your ungodliness [may affect] a man who is like to you; or your righteousness a son of man.

Al hombre como tú dañará tu impiedad; y al hijo del hombre aprovechará tu justicia.

9 They that are oppressed of a multitude will be ready to cry out; they will call for help because of the arm of many.

A causa de la multitud de las violencias clamarán, y darán voces por la fuerza de los violentos:

10 But none said, Where is God that made me, who appoints the night-watches;

Y ninguno dirá: ¿Dónde está Dios mi hacedor, que da canciones en la noche;

11 who makes me to differ from the four-footed beasts of the earth, and from the birds of the sky?

Que nos enseña más que las bestias de la tierra, y nos hace sabios más que las aves del cielo?

12 There they shall cry, and none shall listen, even because of the insolence of wicked men.

Allí clamarán, y él no oirá por la soberbia de los malos.

13 For the Lord desires not to look on error, for he is the Almighty One.

Ciertamente Dios no oirá la vanidad, ni el Omnipotente la mirará.

14 He beholds them that perform lawless deeds, and he will save me: and do you plead before him, if you can praise him, as it is [possible] even now.

Aunque más digas: No le mirará: haz juicio delante de él, y espera en él.

15 For he is not [now] regarding his wrath, nor has he noticed severely any trespass.

Mas ahora, porque su ira no visita, ni conoce en gran manera,

16 Yet Job vainly opens his mouth, in ignorance he multiplies words.

Job abrió su boca vanamente, y multiplica palabras sin sabiduría.
