Esias 2
1 The word which came to Esaias the son of Amos concerning Judea, and concerning Jerusalem.
Slovo, kteréž viděl Izaiáš syn Amosův o Judovi a Jeruzalému.
2 For in the last days the mountain of the Lord shall be glorious, and the house of God [shall be] on the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall come to it.
I stane se v posledních dnech, že utvrzena bude hora domu Hospodinova na vrchu hor, a vyvýšena nad pahrbky, i pohrnou se k ní všickni národové.
3 And many nations shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will tell us his way, and we will walk in it: for out of Sion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord out of Jerusalem.
A půjdou lidé mnozí, říkajíce: Poďte, a vstupme na horu Hospodinovu, do domu Boha Jákobova, a bude nás vyučovati cestám svým, i budeme choditi po stezkách jeho. Nebo z Siona vyjde zákon, a slovo Hospodinovo z Jeruzaléma.
4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into sickles: and nation shall not take up sword against nation, neither shall they learn to war any more.
Onť bude souditi mezi národy, a trestati bude lidi mnohé. I zkují meče své v motyky, a oštípy své v srpy. Nepozdvihne národ proti národu meče, a nebudou se více učiti boji.
5 And now, O house of Jacob, come, [and] let us walk in the light of the Lord.
Dome Jákobův, poďtež, a choďme v světle Hospodinově.
6 For he has forsaken his people the house of Israel, because their land is filled as at the beginning with divinations, as the [land] of the Philistines, and many strange children were born to them.
Ale ty jsi opustil lid svůj, dům Jákobův, proto že jsou naplněni ohavnostmi národů východních, a jsou pověrní jako Filistinští, a smyšlínky cizozemců že sobě libují.
7 For their land is filled with silver and gold, and there was no number of their treasures; their land also is filled with horses, and there was no number of chariots.
K tomu naplněna jest země jejich stříbrem a zlatem, tak že není konce pokladům jejich; naplněna jest země jejich i koňmi, vozům pak jejich počtu není.
8 And the land is filled with abominations, [even] the works of their hands; and they have worshipped [the works] which their fingers made.
Naplněna jest také země jejich modlami; klanějí se dílu rukou svých, kteréž učinili prstové jejich.
9 And the mean man bowed down, and the great man was humbled: and I will not pardon them.
Klaní se obecný člověk, a ponižuje se i přední muž; protož neodpouštěj jim.
10 Now therefore enter you into the rocks, and hide yourselves in the earth, for fear of the Lord, and by reason of the glory of his might, when he shall arise to strike terribly the earth.
Vejdi do skály, a skrej se v prachu před hrůzou Hospodinovou, před slávou důstojnosti jeho.
11 For the eyes of the Lord are high, but man is low; and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.
Tuť oči vysoké člověka sníženy budou, a skloněna bude vysokost lidská, ale Hospodin sám vyvýšen bude v ten den.
12 For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and haughty, and upon every one that is high and towering, and they shall be brought down;
Nebo den Hospodina zástupů se blíží na každého pyšného a zpínajícího se, i na každého vyvýšeného, i bude ponížen,
13 and upon every cedar of Libanus, of them that are high and towering, and upon every oak of Basan,
I na všecky cedry Libánské vysoké a vyvýšené, i na všecky duby Bázanské,
14 and upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill,
I na všecky hory vysoké, i na všecky pahrbky vyvýšené,
15 and upon every high tower, and upon every high wall,
I na všelikou věži vysokou, i na všelikou zed pevnou,
16 and upon every ship of the sea, and upon every display of fine ships.
I na všecky lodí mořské, i na všecka malování slibná.
17 And every man shall be brought low, and the pride of men shall fall: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.
A sehnuta bude pýcha člověka, a snížena bude vysokost lidská, ale vyvýšen bude Hospodin sám v ten den,
18 And they shall hide all [idols] made with hands,
Modly pak docela vymizejí.
19 having carried [them] into the caves, and into the clefts of the rocks, and into the caverns of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and by reason of the glory of his might, when he shall arise to strike terribly the earth.
Tehdy půjdou do jeskyní skal a do roklí země, před hrůzou Hospodinovou a slávou důstojnosti jeho, když povstane, aby potřel zemi.
20 For in that day a man shall cast forth his silver and gold abominations, which they made [in order] to worship vanities and bats;
V ten den zavrže člověk modly své stříbrné a modly své zlaté, kterýchž mu nadělali, aby se klaněl, totiž krtům a netopýřům.
21 to enter into the caverns of the solid rock, and into the clefts of the rocks, for fear of the Lord, and by reason of the glory of his might, when he shall arise to strike terribly the earth.
I vejde do slují skal a do vysedlin jejich před hrůzou Hospodinovou, a před slávou důstojnosti jeho, když povstane, aby potřel zemi.
Přestaňtež doufati v člověku, jehož dýchání v chřípích jeho jest. Nebo zač má jmín býti?
