Genesis 5
1 This [is] the genealogy of men in the day in which God made Adam; in the image of God he made him:
१आदम की वंशावली यह है। जब परमेश्वर ने मनुष्य की सृष्टि की तब अपने ही स्वरूप में उसको बनाया।
2 male and female he made them, and blessed them; and he called his name Adam, in the day in which he made them.
२उसने नर और नारी करके मनुष्यों की सृष्टि की और उन्हें आशीष दी, और उनकी सृष्टि के दिन उनका नाम आदम रखा।
3 And Adam lived two hundred and thirty years, and begot [a son] after his [own] form, and after his [own] image, and he called his name Seth.
३जब आदम एक सौ तीस वर्ष का हुआ, तब उसके द्वारा उसकी समानता में उस ही के स्वरूप के अनुसार एक पुत्र उत्पन्न हुआ। उसने उसका नाम शेत रखा।
4 And the days of Adam, which he lived after his begetting Seth, were seven hundred years; and he begot sons and daughters.
४और शेत के जन्म के पश्चात् आदम आठ सौ वर्ष जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे-बेटियाँ उत्पन्न हुईं।
5 And all the days of Adam which he lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.
५इस प्रकार आदम की कुल आयु नौ सौ तीस वर्ष की हुई, तत्पश्चात् वह मर गया।
6 Now Seth lived two hundred and five years, and begot Enos.
६जब शेत एक सौ पाँच वर्ष का हुआ, उससे एनोश उत्पन्न हुआ।
7 And Seth lived after his begetting Enos, seven hundred and seven years, and he begot sons and daughters.
७एनोश के जन्म के पश्चात् शेत आठ सौ सात वर्ष जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे-बेटियाँ उत्पन्न हुईं।
8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.
८इस प्रकार शेत की कुल आयु नौ सौ बारह वर्ष की हुई; तत्पश्चात् वह मर गया।
9 And Enos lived an hundred and ninety years, and begot Cainan.
९जब एनोश नब्बे वर्ष का हुआ, तब उसने केनान को जन्म दिया।
10 And Enos lived after his begetting Cainan, seven hundred and fifteen years, and he begot sons and daughters.
१०केनान के जन्म के पश्चात् एनोश आठ सौ पन्द्रह वर्ष जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे-बेटियाँ उत्पन्न हुईं।
11 And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years, and he died.
११इस प्रकार एनोश की कुल आयु नौ सौ पाँच वर्ष की हुई; तत्पश्चात् वह मर गया।
12 And Cainan lived an hundred and seventy years, and he begot Maleleel.
१२जब केनान सत्तर वर्ष का हुआ, तब उसने महललेल को जन्म दिया।
13 And Cainan lived after his begetting Maleleel, seven hundred and forty years, and he begot sons and daughters.
१३महललेल के जन्म के पश्चात् केनान आठ सौ चालीस वर्ष जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे-बेटियाँ उत्पन्न हुईं।
14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.
१४इस प्रकार केनान की कुल आयु नौ सौ दस वर्ष की हुई; तत्पश्चात् वह मर गया।
15 And Maleleel lived an hundred and sixty and five years, and he begot Jared.
१५जब महललेल पैंसठ वर्ष का हुआ, तब उसने येरेद को जन्म दिया।
16 And Maleleel lived after his begetting Jared, seven hundred and thirty years, and he begot sons and daughters.
१६येरेद के जन्म के पश्चात् महललेल आठ सौ तीस वर्ष जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे-बेटियाँ उत्पन्न हुईं।
17 And all the days of Maleleel were eight hundred and ninety and five years, and he died.
१७इस प्रकार महललेल की कुल आयु आठ सौ पंचानबे वर्ष की हुई; तत्पश्चात् वह मर गया।
18 And Jared lived an hundred and sixty and two years, and begot Enoch:
१८जब येरेद एक सौ बासठ वर्ष का हुआ, तब उसने हनोक को जन्म दिया।
19 and Jared lived after his begetting Enoch, eight hundred years, and he begot sons and daughters.
१९हनोक के जन्म के पश्चात् येरेद आठ सौ वर्ष जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे-बेटियाँ उत्पन्न हुईं।
20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty and two years, and he died.
२०इस प्रकार येरेद की कुल आयु नौ सौ बासठ वर्ष की हुई; तत्पश्चात् वह मर गया।
21 And Enoch lived an hundred and sixty and five years, and became the father of Mathusala.
२१जब हनोक पैंसठ वर्ष का हुआ, तब उसने मतूशेलह को जन्म दिया।
22 And Enoch was well-pleasing to God after his begetting Mathusala, two hundred years, and he begot sons and daughters.
२२मतूशेलह के जन्म के पश्चात् हनोक तीन सौ वर्ष तक परमेश्वर के साथ-साथ चलता रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे-बेटियाँ उत्पन्न हुईं।
23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty and five years.
२३इस प्रकार हनोक की कुल आयु तीन सौ पैंसठ वर्ष की हुई।
24 And Enoch was well-pleasing to God, and was not found, because God translated him.
२४हनोक परमेश्वर के साथ-साथ चलता था; फिर वह लोप हो गया क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने उसे उठा लिया।
25 And Mathusala lived an hundred and sixty and seven years, and begot Lamech.
२५जब मतूशेलह एक सौ सत्तासी वर्ष का हुआ, तब उसने लेमेक को जन्म दिया।
26 And Mathusala lived after his begetting Lamech eight hundred and two years, and begot sons and daughters.
२६लेमेक के जन्म के पश्चात् मतूशेलह सात सौ बयासी वर्ष जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे-बेटियाँ उत्पन्न हुईं।
27 And all the days of Mathusala which he lived, were nine hundred and sixty and nine years, and he died.
२७इस प्रकार मतूशेलह की कुल आयु नौ सौ उनहत्तर वर्ष की हुई; तत्पश्चात् वह मर गया।
28 And Lamech lived an hundred and eighty and eight years, and begot a son.
२८जब लेमेक एक सौ बयासी वर्ष का हुआ, तब उससे एक पुत्र का जन्म हुआ।
29 And he called his name Noe, saying, This one will cause us to cease from our works, and from the toils of our hands, and from the earth, which the Lord God has cursed.
२९उसने यह कहकर उसका नाम नूह रखा, कि “यहोवा ने जो पृथ्वी को श्राप दिया है, उसके विषय यह लड़का हमारे काम में, और उस कठिन परिश्रम में जो हम करते हैं, हमें शान्ति देगा।”
30 And Lamech lived after his begetting Noe, five hundred and sixty and five years, and begot sons and daughters.
३०नूह के जन्म के पश्चात् लेमेक पाँच सौ पंचानबे वर्ष जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे-बेटियाँ उत्पन्न हुईं।
31 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and fifty-three years, and he died.
३१इस प्रकार लेमेक की कुल आयु सात सौ सतहत्तर वर्ष की हुई; तत्पश्चात् वह मर गया।
३२और नूह पाँच सौ वर्ष का हुआ; और नूह से शेम, और हाम और येपेत का जन्म हुआ।
