< Deuteronomy 27 >

1 And Moses and the elders of Israel commanded, saying, Keep all these commands, all that I command you this day.
And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.
2 And it shall come to pass in the day when you shall cross over Jordan into the land which the Lord your God gives you, that you shall set up for yourself great stones, and shall plaster them with plaster.
And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which YHWH thy Elohim giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:
3 And you shall write on these stones all the words of this law, as soon as you have crossed Jordan, when you are entered into the land, which the Lord God of your fathers gives you, a land flowing with milk and honey, according as the Lord God of your fathers said to you.
And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which YHWH thy Elohim giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as YHWH Elohim of thy fathers hath promised thee.
4 And it shall be as soon as you are gone over Jordan, you shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, on mount Gaebal, and you shall plaster them with plaster.
Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister.
5 And you shall build there an altar to the Lord your God, an altar of stones; you shall not lift up iron upon it.
And there shalt thou build an altar unto YHWH thy Elohim, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.
6 Of whole stones shall you build an altar to the Lord your God, and you shall offer upon it whole burnt offerings to the Lord your God.
Thou shalt build the altar of YHWH thy Elohim of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto YHWH thy Elohim:
7 And you shall there offer a peace-offering; and you shall eat and be filled, and rejoice before the Lord your God.
And thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before YHWH thy Elohim.
8 And you shall write upon the stones all this law very plainly.
And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.
9 And Moses and the priests the Levites spoke to all Israel, saying, Be silent and hear, O Israel; this day you are become a people to the Lord your God.
And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of YHWH thy Elohim.
10 And you shall listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and shall do all his commands, and his ordinances, as many as I command you this day.
Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of YHWH thy Elohim, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
11 And Moses charged the people on that day, saying,
And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,
12 These shall stand to bless the people on mount Garizin having gone over Jordan; Symeon, Levi, Judas, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin.
These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:
13 And these shall stand for cursing on mount Gaebal; Ruben, Gad, and Aser, Zabulon, Dan, and Nephthali.
And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
14 And the Levites shall answer and say to all Israel with a loud voice,
And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,
15 Cursed [is] the man whoever shall make a graven or molten image, an abomination to the Lord, the work of the hands of craftsmen, and shall put it in a secret place: and all the people shall answer and say, So be it.
Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto YHWH, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, so be it.
16 Cursed is the man that dishonors his father or his mother: and all the people shall say, So be it.
Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, so be it.
17 Cursed is he that removes his neighbor's landmarks: and all the people shall say, So be it.
Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, so be it.
18 Cursed is he that makes the blind to wander in the way: and all the people shall say, So be it.
Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, so be it.
19 Cursed is every one that shall pervert the judgment of the stranger, and orphan, and widow: and all the people shall say, So be it.
Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, so be it.
20 Cursed is he that lies with his father's wife, because he has uncovered his father's skirt: and all the people shall say, So be it.
Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, so be it.
21 Cursed is he that lies with any beast: and all the people shall say, So be it.
Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, so be it.
22 Cursed is he that lies with his sister by his father or his mother: and all the people shall say, So be it.
Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, so be it.
23 Cursed is he that lies with his daughter-in-law: and all the people shall say, So be it. Cursed is he that lies with his wife's sister: and all the people shall say, So be it.
Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, so be it.
24 Cursed is he that smites his neighbor secretly: and all the people shall say, So be it.
Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, so be it.
25 Cursed is he whoever shall have taken a bribe to kill an innocent man: and all the people shall say, So be it.
Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, so be it.
26 Cursed is every man that continues not in all the words of this law to do them: and all the people shall say, So be it.
Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, so be it.
