Kings II 7
1 And it came to pass when the king sat in his house, and the Lord had given him an inheritance on every side [free] from all his enemies round about him;
தாவீது அரசன் தனது அரண்மனையில் குடியமர்ந்தான். யெகோவா அவனைச் சுற்றிலுமிருந்த பகைவர்கள் எல்லோரிடமிருந்தும் அவனுக்கு ஆறுதல் கொடுத்தார்.
2 that the king said to Nathan the prophet, Behold now, I live in a house of cedar, and the ark of the Lord dwells in the midst of a tent.
அதன்பின் அரசன், இறைவாக்கினனான நாத்தானிடம், “இதோ நான் கேதுருமர அரண்மனையில் குடியிருக்கையில், இறைவனின் பெட்டியோ இன்னும் கூடாரத்திலேயே இருக்கிறது” என்றான்.
3 And Nathan said to the king, Go and do all that [is] in your heart, for the Lord [is] with you.
அதற்கு நாத்தான் அரசனிடம், “உன்னுடைய மனதில் இருப்பவை எதுவோ, அதைச் செய்; யெகோவா உன்னுடன் இருக்கிறார்” என்றான்.
4 And it came to pass in that night, that the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying,
அன்று இரவே நாத்தானுக்கு, யெகோவாவின் வார்த்தை வந்தது:
5 Go, and say to my servant David, Thus says the Lord, You shall not build me a house for me to dwell in.
“நீ போய் என் அடியவன் தாவீதிடம் சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது: ‘யெகோவா சொல்வது இதுவே: நான் வசிப்பதற்கான வீட்டைக் கட்டுகிறவன் நீ தானோ?
6 For I have not lived in a house from the day that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt to this day, but I have been walking in a lodge and in a tent,
இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து அழைத்துவந்த நாளிலிருந்து, இன்றுவரை நான் ஒரு வீட்டில் வசிக்கவில்லை. கூடாரத்தையே என் உறைவிடமாக்கிக்கொண்டு நான் இடம்விட்டு இடம் வசித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்.
7 wherever I went with all Israel. Have I ever spoken to any of the tribes of Israel, which I commanded to tend my people Israel, saying, Why have you not built me a house of Cedar?
நான் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களுடன் பயணம் செய்த இடமெல்லாம் என் மக்களான இஸ்ரயேலரை வழிநடத்தும்படி நான் ஆளுநர்களை நியமித்தேன். அவர்களிடம், “எனக்காக கேதுரு மரங்களினால் ஒரு வீட்டை நீங்கள் ஏன் கட்டவில்லை?” என எப்போதாவது கேட்டதுண்டோ’ என்றார்.
8 And now thus shall you say to my servant David, Thus says the Lord Almighty, I took you from the sheep-cote, that you should be a prince over my people, over Israel.
“இப்பொழுதும் நீ என் அடியானாகிய தாவீதிடம் சென்று, ‘சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்வது இதுவே: என் மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரயேலரின்மேல் அதிபதியாயிருக்கும்படி புல்வெளியில் மந்தையை மேய்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்த உன்னை தெரிந்தெடுத்தேன்.
9 And I was with you wherever you went, and I destroyed all your enemies before you, and I made you renowned according to the renown of the great ones on the earth.
நீ சென்ற இடங்களிலெல்லாம் நான் உன்னோடுகூட இருந்து உன் பகைவரையெல்லாம் உனக்கு முன்பாக அழித்தேன். இப்பொழுது பூமியிலுள்ள மேன்மையானவர்களின் பெயருக்கு ஒப்பாக உனது பெயரை மேன்மைப்படுத்துவேன்.
10 And I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell by themselves, and shall be no more distressed; and the son of iniquity shall no more afflict them, as he [has done] from the beginning,
நான் எனது மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரயேலருக்கு ஒரு இடத்தை ஏற்படுத்தி, அங்கு அவர்களை நிலைநாட்டுவேன். அப்பொழுது அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு சொந்த இருப்பிடம் இருக்கும். அவர்களை ஒருவரும் தொல்லைப்படுத்தமாட்டார்கள். முன்பு அவர்களை கொடியவர்கள் ஒடுக்கியதுபோல் இனி ஒருபோதும் ஒருவரும் ஒடுக்கமாட்டார்கள்.
11 from the days when I appointed judges over my people Israel: and I will give you rest from all your enemies, and the Lord will tell you that you shall build a house to him.
என் மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரயேலருக்கு மேலாக தலைவர்களை நான் ஏற்படுத்திய காலத்திலிருந்து நடந்ததுபோல, அந்தக் கொடியவர்கள் அவர்களை இனிமேலும் ஒடுக்கமாட்டார்கள். உன்னுடைய எல்லாப் பகைவரிடமிருந்தும் நான் உனக்கு ஆறுதல் தருவேன். “‘மேலும் யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறதாவது: யெகோவாவே உனக்கு ஒரு வீட்டைக் கட்டுவார்.
12 And it shall come to pass when your days shall have been fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, that I will raise up your seed after you, even your own issue, and I will establish his kingdom.
உனது வாழ்நாள் முடிவுற்று நீ உன் முற்பிதாக்களுடன் படுத்திருக்கும்போது, உனக்கு பிறக்கும் உன் சந்ததியில் ஒருவனை நான் எழுப்பி, அவனுடைய அரசை நான் நிலைநாட்டுவேன்.
13 He shall build for me a house to my name, and I will set up his throne even for ever.
அவனே என் பெயருக்காக ஒரு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவான். அவனுடைய அரசாட்சியின் அரியணையை நான் என்றென்றும் நிலைநிறுத்துவேன்.
14 I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. And when he happens to transgress, then will I chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the sons of men.
நான் அவனுக்குத் தகப்பனாயிருப்பேன். அவன் எனக்கு மகனாக இருப்பான். அவன் அநியாயம் செய்கிறபோது, மனிதர் பயன்படுத்தும் தடியினாலும் கசையடியினாலும் அவனை நான் தண்டிப்பேன்.
15 But my mercy I will not take from him, as I took it from those whom I removed from my presence.
இருப்பினும் உனக்கு முன்னதாக நான் அகற்றிய சவுலிடமிருந்து எனது அன்பை அகற்றினதுபோல, எனது அன்பை அவனிடமிருந்து அகற்றமாட்டேன்.
16 And his house shall be made sure, and his kingdom for ever before me, and his throne shall be set up for ever.
உனது குடும்பமும், அரசும் எனக்குமுன் என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைநிற்கும். உனது அரியணை என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைத்திருக்கும் என்கிறார்’” என்றான்.
17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.
இவ்வாறு நாத்தான் இந்த எல்லா வார்த்தைகளின்படியும், இந்த எல்லா வெளிப்படுத்துதலின்படியும் தாவீதுக்குச் சொன்னான்.
18 And king David came in, and sat before the Lord, and said, Who am I, O Lord, my Lord, and what [is] my house, that you have loved me hitherto?
பின்பு அரசன் தாவீது உள்ளே சென்று யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக அமர்ந்து சொன்னதாவது: “யெகோவாவாகிய ஆண்டவரே, இதுவரைக்கும் நீர் என்னை வழிநடத்தி வந்ததற்கு நான் யார்? என் குடும்பமும் எம்மாத்திரம்?
19 Whereas I was very little before you, O Lord, my Lord, yet you spoke concerning the house of your servant for a long time to [to come]. And [is] this the law of man, O Lord, my Lord?
யெகோவாவாகிய ஆண்டவரே, உமது பார்வைக்கு இதுவும் போதாதென்று நீர் உமது பணியாளனின் குடும்பத்தின் எதிர்காலத்தைக் குறித்தும் பேசியிருக்கிறீரே! யெகோவாவாகிய ஆண்டவரே, இப்படித்தான் நீர் மனிதருடன் நடந்துகொள்ளும் வழக்கமோ!
20 And what shall David yet say to you? and now you know your servant, O Lord, my Lord.
“இன்னும் மேலாக தாவீது உம்மிடம் எதைச் சொல்லமுடியும்? யெகோவாவாகிய ஆண்டவரே! உம்முடைய அடியானை நீர் அறிவீர்
21 And you have wrought for your servant's sake, and according to your heart you have wrought all this greatness, to make it known to your servant,
உமது வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின் வார்த்தையின் நிமித்தமும், உமது திட்டத்தின்படியும், இப்பெரிய செயல்களைச் செய்து, அடியானுக்கு அதைத் தெரியப்படுத்தியிருக்கிறீர்.
22 that he may magnify you, O my Lord; for there is no one like you, and there is no God, but you among all of whom we have heard with our ears.
“ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவாவே! நீரே பெரியவர்; உம்மைப்போல் யாரும் இல்லை. எங்கள் காதுகளால் நாங்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டதுபோல் உம்மைத்தவிர வேறொரு இறைவனும் இல்லை.
23 And what other nation in the earth [is] as your people Israel? whereas God was his guide, to redeem for himself a people to make you a name, to do mightily and nobly, so that you should cast out nations an [their] tabernacles from the presence of your people, whom you did redeem for yourself out of Egypt?
உம்முடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரயேலரைப்போல வேறு யாரும் உண்டோ? தமக்கு மக்களாயிருக்கும்படி, இறைவன் தாமே போய் மீட்டுக்கொண்ட பூமியிலுள்ள ஒரே இனம் அவர்களே. எகிப்தியரிடமிருந்து நீர் மீட்ட உமது மக்களுக்கு முன்பாக, பிற நாட்டு மக்களையும், அவர்களுடைய தெய்வங்களையும் துரத்தி, பெரிதும் பயங்கரமுமான அதிசய செயல்களைச் செய்து, மிகப்பெரிய பெயரை உமக்கு ஏற்படுத்தினீரே;
24 And you has prepared for yourself your people Israel to be a people for ever, and you, Lord, are become their God.
உம்முடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரயேலரை என்றென்றைக்கும் உமக்குரியவர்களாயிருக்கும்படி நிலைநிறுத்தி, யெகோவாவே! நீரே அவர்களின் இறைவனானீர்.
25 And now, O my Lord, the Almighty Lord God of Israel, confirm the word for ever which you have spoken concerning your servant and his house: and now as you have said,
“இப்பொழுதும் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவே, உம்முடைய அடியானையும், அவன் குடும்பத்தையும் குறித்து நீர் கொடுத்த வாக்குறுதியை என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைப்படுத்தும். நீர் வாக்களித்தபடியே செய்யும்.
26 Let your name be magnified for ever.
இதனால் உமது பெயர் என்றென்றும் பெரிதாயிருக்கும். அப்பொழுது, ‘சேனைகளின் யெகோவாவே இஸ்ரயேலின்மேல் இறைவன்’ என்று மனிதர் சொல்வார்கள். அப்பொழுது உமது அடியானாகிய தாவீதின் குடும்பம் உமக்கு முன்பாக நிலைநிறுத்தப்படும்.
27 Almighty Lord God of Israel, you have uncovered the ear of your servant, saying, I will build you a house: therefore your servant has found [in] his heart to pray this prayer to you.
“சேனைகளின் யெகோவாவே, இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனே, ‘நான் உன் குடும்பத்தை கட்டி எழுப்புவேன்’ என்று உமது அடியானுக்கு நீர் வெளிப்படுத்தினீர். எனவே இந்த மன்றாட்டை உம்மிடம் சமர்ப்பிக்க உமது அடியானுக்கு துணிவு கிடைத்தது.
28 And now, O Lord my Lord, you are God; and your words will be true, and you have spoken these good things concerning your servant.
ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவாவே! நீரே இறைவன். உம்முடைய வார்த்தைகள் நம்பத்தகுந்தவை. நீர் இந்த நல்ல செயல்களை உமது அடியவனுக்கு வாக்காகக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறீர்.
29 And now begin and bless the house of your servant, that it may continue for ever before you; for you, O Lord, my Lord, have spoken, and the house of your servant shall be blessed with your blessing so as to continue for ever.
எனவே இப்பொழுது உம்முடைய கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக உமது அடியானின் குடும்பம் எப்பொழுதும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்படி, அதை மனதார ஆசீர்வதியும். ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவாவே, நீர் சொல்லியிருக்கிறீர். உமது ஆசீர்வாதத்தினால் உமது அடியானின் குடும்பம் என்றென்றைக்கும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும்” என்றான்.
