Kings IV 9
1 And Elisaie the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him, Gird up your loins, and take this cruse of oil in your hand, and go to Remmoth Galaad.
൧എലീശാപ്രവാചകൻ ഒരു പ്രവാചക ഗണത്തില്‍ ഒരുവനെ വിളിച്ച് അവനോട് പറഞ്ഞത്: “നീ അരകെട്ടി ഈ തൈലപാത്രം എടുത്തുകൊണ്ട് ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിലേക്ക് പോകുക.
2 And you shall enter there, and shall see there Ju the son of Josaphat son of Namessi, and shall go in and make him rise up from among his brethren, and shall bring him into a secret chamber.
൨അവിടെ എത്തിയശേഷം നിംശിയുടെ മകനായ യെഹോശാഫാത്തിന്റെ മകൻ യേഹൂ എവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് കണ്ടെത്തി, കൂട്ടംകൂടി ഇരിക്കുന്നവരുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്ന് അവനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ച് ഉൾമുറിയിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോകുക.
3 And you shall take the cruse of oil, and pour [it] on his head, and say you, Thus says the Lord, I have anointed you king over Israel: and you shall open the door, and flee, and not wait.
൩അതിന് ശേഷം തൈലപ്പാത്രം എടുത്ത് അവന്റെ തലയിൽ ഒഴിച്ച്: ‘ഞാൻ നിന്നെ യിസ്രായേലിന് രാജാവായി അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു’ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് വാതിൽ തുറന്ന് ഒട്ടും താമസിക്കാതെ ഓടിപ്പോരുക”.
4 And the young man the prophet went to Remmoth Galaad.
൪അങ്ങനെ പ്രവാചകനായ ആ യൗവനക്കാരൻ ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിലേക്ക് പോയി.
5 And he went in, and, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have a message to you, O captain. And Ju said, To which of all us? And he said, To you, O captain.
൫അവൻ അവിടെ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ പടനായകന്മാർ ഒരുമിച്ച് ഇരിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടു: “നായകാ, എനിക്ക് നിന്നോട് ഒരു കാര്യം അറിയിക്കുവാനുണ്ട്” എന്ന് അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതിന്: “ഞങ്ങളിൽ ആരോട്?” എന്ന് യേഹൂ ചോദിച്ചു. “നിന്നോട് തന്നേ, നായകാ” എന്ന് അവൻ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
6 And he arose, and went into the house: and he poured the oil upon his head, and said to him, Thus says the Lord God of Israel, I have anointed you to be king over the people of the Lord, even over Israel.
൬യേഹൂ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് മുറിക്കകത്ത് കടന്നു; അപ്പോൾ അവൻ തൈലം യേഹുവിന്റെ തലയിൽ ഒഴിച്ച് അവനോട് പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: “യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ യഹോവയുടെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന് രാജാവായി അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
7 And you shall utterly destroy the house of Achaab your master from before me, and shall avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezabel,
൭എന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ രക്തത്തിനും യഹോവയുടെ സകലദാസന്മാരുടെയും രക്തത്തിനും ഈസേബെലിനോട് ഞാൻ പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന് നിന്റെ യജമാനനായ ആഹാബിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെ നീ സംഹരിച്ചുകളയണം.
8 and at the hand of the whole house of Achaab: and you shall utterly cut off from the house of Achaab every male, and him that is shut up and left in Israel.
൮ആഹാബ് ഗൃഹം അശേഷം നശിച്ചുപോകേണം; യിസ്രായേലിൽ ആഹാബിനുള്ള സ്വതന്ത്രനോ ദാസനോ ആയ പുരുഷപ്രജയെ എല്ലാം ഞാൻ ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.
9 And I will make the house of Achaab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, and as the house of Baasa the son of Achia.
൯ഞാൻ ആഹാബ് ഗൃഹത്തെ നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെപ്പോലെയും അഹീയാവിന്റെ മകനായ ബയെശയുടെ ഗൃഹത്തെപ്പോലെയും ആക്കും.
10 And the dogs shall eat Jezabel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.
൧൦ഈസേബെലിനെ യിസ്രായേൽപ്രദേശത്തുവെച്ച് നായ്ക്കൾ തിന്നുകളയും; അവളെ അടക്കം ചെയ്യുവാൻ ആരും ഉണ്ടാകുകയില്ല”. പെട്ടെന്ന് അവൻ വാതിൽ തുറന്ന് ഓടിപ്പോയി.
11 And Ju went forth to the servants of his lord, and they said to him, [Is] all well? Why came this mad fellow in to you? And he said to them, You know the man, and his communication.
൧൧യേഹൂ തന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്ത് വന്നപ്പോൾ ഒരുവൻ അവനോട്: “എന്താകുന്നു വിശേഷം? ആ ഭ്രാന്തൻ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നതെന്തിന്?” എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന് അവൻ അവരോട്: “നിങ്ങൾ ആ പുരുഷനെയും അവൻ പറഞ്ഞ കാര്യവും അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
12 And they said, [It is] wrong: tell us now. And Ju said to them, Thus and thus spoke he to me, saying, —and he said, Thus says the Lord, I have anointed you to be king over Israel.
൧൨അപ്പോൾ അവർ: “അത് നേരല്ല; നീ ഞങ്ങളോട് പറയണം” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞതിന് അവൻ: “ഞാൻ നിന്നെ യിസ്രായേലിന് രാജാവായി അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്ന് തുടങ്ങി ഇന്നിന്ന കാര്യങ്ങൾ അവൻ എന്നോട് സംസാരിച്ചു” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
13 And when they heard it, they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with the trumpet, and said, Ju is king.
൧൩ഉടനെ അവർ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ട് ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ വസ്ത്രം എടുത്ത് കോവണിപ്പടികളിന്മേൽ അവന്റെ കാല്ക്കൽ വിരിച്ചു. കാഹളം ഊതി: “യേഹൂ രാജാവായി” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
14 So Ju the son of Josaphat the son of Namessi conspired against Joram, and Joram was defending Remmoth Galaad, he and all Israel, because of Azael king of Syria.
൧൪അങ്ങനെ നിംശിയുടെ മകനായ യെഹോശാഫാത്തിന്റെ മകൻ യേഹൂ യോരാമിന് വിരോധമായി കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി. യോരാമും യിസ്രായേൽ ജനവും അരാം രാജാവായ ഹസായേലിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ പെടാതെ ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിനെ കാവൽ നിർത്തി സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നു.
15 And king Joram had returned to be healed in Jezrael of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, in his war with Azael king of Syria. And Ju said, If your heart is with me, let there not go forth out of the city one fugitive to go and report to Jezrael.
൧൫അരാം രാജാവായ ഹസായേലിനോടുള്ള യുദ്ധത്തിൽ അരാമ്യസൈന്യത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഉണ്ടാ‍യ മുറിവുകൾക്ക് യിസ്രയേലിൽവെച്ച് ചികിത്സചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന് യോരാംരാജാവ് മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ യേഹൂ: “നിങ്ങൾക്ക് സമ്മതമെങ്കിൽ യിസ്രയേലിൽ ചെന്ന് ഈ വർത്തമാനം അറിയിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ആരും പട്ടണം വിട്ടുപോകാതെ സൂക്ഷിക്കണം” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
16 And Ju rode and advanced, and came down to Jezrael; for Joram king of Israel was getting healed in Jezrael of the arrow-wounds wherewith the Syrians [had] wounded him in Rammath in the war with Azael king of Syria; for he [was] strong and a mighty man: and Ochozias king of Juda was come down to see Joram.
൧൬അങ്ങനെ യേഹൂ രഥത്തിൽ കയറി യിസ്രായേലിലേക്ക് പോയി; യോരാം അവിടെ കിടപ്പിലായിരുന്നു. യോരാമിനെ കാണുവാൻ യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ അഹസ്യാവും അവിടെ വന്നിരുന്നു.
17 And there went up a watchman upon the tower of Jezrael, and saw the dust [made by] Ju as he approached; and he said, I see dust. And Joram said, Take a horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Peace.
൧൭യിസ്രയേലിലെ ഗോപുരമുകളിൽ ഒരു കാവല്ക്കാരൻ നിന്നിരുന്നു; അവൻ യേഹൂവിന്റെ കൂട്ടം വരുന്നത് കണ്ടിട്ട്: “ഞാൻ ഒരു കൂട്ടത്തെ കാണുന്നു” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ യോരാം: “നീ ഒരു കുതിരപ്പടയാളിയെ വിളിച്ച് അവരുടെ നേരെ അയക്കേണം; അവൻ ചെന്ന്, ‘സമാധാനമോ’ എന്ന് ചോദിക്കട്ടെ” എന്ന് കല്പിച്ചു.
18 And there went a horseman to meet them, and said, Thus says the king, Peace. And Ju said, What have you to do with peace? turn behind me. And the watchman reported, saying, The messenger came up to them, and has not returned.
൧൮അങ്ങനെ ഒരുവൻ കുതിരപ്പുറത്ത് അവനെ എതിരേറ്റ് ചെന്ന്: “സമാധാനമോ എന്ന് രാജാവ് ചോദിക്കുന്നു” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. “സമാധാനം കൊണ്ട് നിനക്ക് എന്ത് കാര്യം? തിരിഞ്ഞ് എന്റെ പുറകെ വരുക” എന്ന് യേഹൂ പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ കാവല്ക്കാരൻ: “ദൂതൻ അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പോയി മടങ്ങിവന്നിട്ടില്ല” എന്ന് അറിയിച്ചു.
19 And he sent another horseman, and he came to him, and said, Thus says the king, Peace. And Ju said, What have you to do with peace? turn behind me.
൧൯അവൻ മറ്റൊരുവനെ കുതിരപ്പുറത്ത് അയച്ചു; അവനും അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്ന്: “സമാധാനമോ എന്ന് രാജാവ് ചോദിക്കുന്നു” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. സമാധാനവുമായി നിനക്ക് എന്ത് കാര്യം? തിരിഞ്ഞു എന്റെ പുറകെ വരുക” എന്ന് യേഹൂ പറഞ്ഞു.
20 And the watchman reported, saying, He came up to them, and has not returned: and the driver drives Ju the son of Namessi, for it is with furious [haste].
൨൦അപ്പോൾ കാവല്ക്കാരൻ: “അവനും അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നിട്ട് മടങ്ങിവന്നിട്ടില്ല; ആ കാണുന്ന രഥം ഓടിക്കുന്നത് നിംശിയുടെ മകനായ യേഹൂ ഓടിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തോന്നിക്കുന്നു; ഭ്രാന്തനപ്പോലെയാണ് അവൻ ഓടിച്ചുവരുന്നത്” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
21 And Joram said, Make ready. And one made ready the chariot: and Joram the king of Israel went forth, and Ochozias king of Juda, each in his chariot, and they went to meet Ju, and found him in the portion of Nabuthai the Jezraelite.
൨൧ഉടനെ യോരാം: “രഥം പൂട്ടുക” എന്ന് കല്പിച്ചു; രഥം പൂട്ടിയശേഷം യിസ്രയേൽ രാജാവായ യോരാമും യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ അഹസ്യാവും അവനവന്റെ രഥത്തിൽ കയറി യേഹൂവിന്റെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു. യിസ്രായേല്യനായ നാബോത്തിന്റെ നിലത്തിൽവെച്ച് അവനെ കണ്ടുമുട്ടി.
22 And it came to pass when Joram saw Ju, that he said, [Is it] peace, Ju? And Ju said, How [can it be] peace? as yet [there are] the whoredoms of your mother Jezabel, and her abundant witchcrafts.
൨൨യേഹൂവിനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ യോരാം: “യേഹൂവേ, സമാധാനമോ?” എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന് യേഹൂ: “നിന്റെ അമ്മയായ ഈസേബെലിന്റെ പരസംഗവും ക്ഷുദ്രവും ഇത്ര അധികമായിരിക്കുന്നേടത്തോളം എന്ത് സമാധാനം?” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
23 And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ochozias, Treachery, Ochozias.
൨൩അപ്പോൾ യോരാം രഥം തിരിച്ച് ഓടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അഹസ്യാവിനോട്: “അഹസ്യാവേ, ഇത് ദ്രോഹം!” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
24 And Ju bent his bow with his full strength, and struck Joram between his arms, and his arrow went out at his heart, and he bowed upon his knees.
൨൪യേഹൂ വില്ലുകുലെച്ച് യോരാമിന്റെ ഭുജങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യത്തിലേക്ക് എയ്തു; അമ്പ് അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം തുളച്ച് മറുപുറം കടന്നു; അവൻ രഥത്തിൽ ചുരുണ്ടുവീണു.
25 And [Ju] said to Badecar his chief officer, Cast him into the portion of ground of Nabuthai the Jezraelite, for I and you remember, riding [as we were] on chariots after Achaab his father, that the Lord took up this burden against him, [saying],
൨൫യേഹൂ തന്റെ പടനായകനായ ബിദ്കാരോട് പറഞ്ഞത്: “അവനെ എടുത്ത് യിസ്രയേല്യനായ നാബോത്തിന്റെ നിലത്തിലേക്ക് എറിഞ്ഞുകളക; ഞാനും നീയും ഒരുമിച്ചു അവന്റെ അപ്പനായ ആഹാബിനെ കുതിരപ്പുറത്ത് പിന്തുടരുമ്പോൾ,
26 Surely, I have seen yesterday the blood of Nabuthai, and the blood of his sons, says the Lord; and I will recompense him in this portion, says the Lord. Now then, I pray you, take him up and cast him into the portion, according to the word of the Lord.
൨൬‘നാബോത്തിന്റെ രക്തവും അവന്റെ മക്കളുടെ രക്തവും ഇന്നലെ ഞാൻ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു സത്യം എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഈ നിലത്തുവെച്ച് ഞാൻ അതിന് പകരം വീട്ടുമെന്നും യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു’ എന്നിങ്ങനെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട് അവന് വിരോധമായി ഉണ്ടായെന്ന് ഓർത്തുകൊള്ളുക; അവനെ എടുത്ത് യഹോവയുടെ വചനപ്രകാരം ഈ നിലത്തിൽ എറിഞ്ഞുകളയുക”.
27 And Ochozias king of Juda saw [it], and fled by the way of Baethgan. And Ju pursued after him, and said, [Slay] him also. And one struck him in the chariot at the going up of Gai, which is Jeblaam: and he fled to Mageddo, and died there.
൨൭യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ അഹസ്യാവ് ഇതു കണ്ടിട്ട് ഉദ്യാനഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ വഴിയിലൂടെ ഓടിപ്പോയി. യേഹൂ അവനെ പിന്തുടർന്നു: “അവനെയും രഥത്തിൽവെച്ച് വെട്ടിക്കളയുവിൻ” എന്ന് കല്പിച്ചു. അവർ യിബ്ളെയാമിന് സമീപത്തുള്ള ഗൂർകയറ്റത്തിൽവെച്ച് അവനെ വെട്ടി; അവൻ മെഗിദ്ദോവിലേക്ക് ഓടിച്ചെന്ന് അവിടെവച്ച് മരിച്ചുപോയി.
28 And his servants put him on a chariot, and brought him to Jerusalem, and they buried him in his sepulchre in the city of David.
൨൮അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ അവന്റെ ശരീരം രഥത്തിൽവെച്ച് യെരൂശലേമിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോയി, ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ അവന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ കല്ലറയിൽ അവനെ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു.
29 And in the eleventh year of Joram king of Israel, Ochozias began to reign over Juda.
൨൯ആഹാബിന്റെ മകനായ യോരാമിന്റെ പതിനൊന്നാം ആണ്ടിൽ ആയിരുന്നു അഹസ്യാവ് യെഹൂദയിൽ രാജാവായത്.
30 And Ju came to Jezrael; and Jezabel heard [of it], and coloured her eyes, and adorned her head, and looked through the window.
൩൦യേഹൂ യിസ്രായേലിൽ വന്ന കാര്യം ഈസേബെൽ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ തന്റെ കണ്ണിൽ മഷിയെഴുതി തല ചീകി മിനുക്കി കിളിവാതിലിൽകൂടി നോക്കി.
31 And Ju entered into the city; and she said, Had Zambri, the murderer of his master, peace?
൩൧യേഹൂ പടിവാതിൽ കടന്നപ്പോൾ അവൾ: “യജമാനനെ കൊന്നവനായ സിമ്രിക്ക് സമാധാനമോ?” എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചു.
32 And he lifted up his face toward the window, and saw her, and said, Who are you? Come down with me. And two eunuchs looked down towards him.
൩൨അവൻ തന്റെ മുഖം കിളിവാതില്‍ക്കലേക്ക് ഉയർത്തി: “ആരാണ് എന്റെ പക്ഷത്തുള്ളത്? ആരാണുള്ളത്?” എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ രണ്ടുമൂന്ന് ഷണ്ഡന്മാർ പുറത്തേക്ക് നോക്കി.
33 And he said, Throw her [down]. And they threw her [down]; and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and they trampled on her.
൩൩“അവളെ താഴെ തള്ളിയിടുവിൻ” എന്ന് അവൻ കല്പിച്ചു. ഉടനെ അവർ അവളെ താഴെ തള്ളിയിട്ടു; അവളുടെ രക്തം ചുവരിന്മേലും കുതിരകളിന്മേലും തെറിച്ചു; അവൻ അവളെ കാൽക്കീഴെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു.
34 And [Ju] went in and ate and drank, and said, Look now, after this cursed woman, and bury her, for she is a king's daughter.
൩൪അവൻ ഭക്ഷിച്ചു പാനം ചെയ്തശേഷം: “ആ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവളെ ചെന്ന് അടക്കം ചെയ്യുവിൻ; അവൾ രാജകുമാരിയല്ലയോ” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
35 And they went to bury her; but they found nothing of her but the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.
൩൫അവർ അവളെ അടക്കം ചെയ്യുവാൻ ചെന്നപ്പോൾ അവളുടെ തലയോട്ടിയും കാലുകളും കൈപ്പത്തികളും അല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നും കണ്ടില്ല.
36 And they returned and told him. And he said, [It is] the word of the Lord, which he spoke by the hand of Eliu the Thesbite, saying, In the portion of Jezrael shall the dogs eat the flesh of Jezabel.
൩൬അവർ മടങ്ങിവന്ന് അവനോട് അത് അറിയിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: “യിസ്രയേൽപ്രദേശത്തുവെച്ച് നായ്ക്കൾ ഈസേബെലിന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നുകളയും;
37 And the carcass of Jezabel shall be as dung on the face of the field in the portion of Jezrael, so that they shall not say, [This is] Jezabel.
൩൭അത് ഈസേബെൽ എന്നു പറയുവാൻ കഴിയാതെവണ്ണം ഈസേബെലിന്റെ മൃതദേഹം യിസ്രായേൽപ്രദേശത്ത് വയലിലെ ചാണകംപോലെ ആകും എന്നിങ്ങനെ യഹോവ തിശ്ബ്യനായ എലീയാവ് എന്ന തന്റെ ദാസൻമുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനത്തിന്റെ നിവൃത്തി തന്നേ ഇത്” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
