Chronicles II 5
1 And Solomon brought in the holy things of his father David, the silver, and the gold, and the [other] vessels, and put them in the treasury of the house of the Lord.
Als nun alle Arbeiten, die Salomo für den Tempel des HERRN hatte herstellen lassen, fertig waren, ließ Salomo die Weihgeschenke seines Vaters David hineinbringen und legte das Silber, das Gold und sämtliche Geräte in den Schatzkammern des Gotteshauses nieder.
2 Then Solomon assembled all the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, [even] the leaders of the families of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, —this [is] Sion.
Damals ließ Salomo die Ältesten der Israeliten und alle Häupter der Stämme, die Fürsten der israelitischen Geschlechter, in Jerusalem zusammenkommen, um die Bundeslade des HERRN aus der Davidsstadt, das ist Zion, hinaufzubringen.
3 And all Israel were assembled [to] the king in the feast, this [is] the seventh month.
So versammelten sich denn alle Israeliten beim König zum Fest, nämlich im Monat Ethanim, das ist der siebte Monat.
4 And all the elders of Israel came; and all the Levites took up the ark,
Als nun alle Ältesten der Israeliten sich eingefunden hatten, hoben die Leviten die Lade auf
5 and the tabernacle of witness, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle; and the priests and the Levites brought it up.
und trugen sie hinauf, ebenso das Offenbarungszelt samt allen heiligen Geräten, die sich im Zelt befanden: die levitischen Priester trugen sie hinauf.
6 And king Solomon, and all the elders of Israel, and the religious of them, and they of them that were gathered before the ark, [were] sacrificing calves and sheep, which could not be numbered or reckoned for multitude.
Der König Salomo aber und die ganze Volksgemeinde Israel, die bei ihm versammelt war, standen vor der Lade und opferten so viele Stück Kleinvieh und Rinder, daß ihre Menge geradezu unzählbar war.
7 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord into its place, into the oracle of the house, [even] into the holy of holies, under the wings of the cherubs.
Alsdann brachten die Priester die Lade mit dem Bundesgesetz des HERRN an den für sie bestimmten Platz, nämlich in den Hinterraum des Tempelhauses, in das Allerheiligste, unter die Flügel der Cherube;
8 And the cherubs stretched out their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubs covered the ark, and its staves above.
die Cherube hielten nämlich die Flügel ausgebreitet über den Platz, wo die Lade stand, so daß die Cherube eine Decke oben über der Lade und deren Tragstangen bildeten.
9 And the staves projected, and the heads of the staves were seen from the holy place in front of the oracle, they were not seen without: and there they were to this day.
Die Tragstangen aber waren so lang, daß die Spitzen der Stangen im Heiligtum an der Vorderseite des Allerheiligsten sichtbar waren; weiter draußen aber waren sie nicht zu sehen; und sie sind dort geblieben bis auf den heutigen Tag.
10 There was nothing in the ark except the two tables which Moses placed [there] in Choreb, which God gave in covenant with the children of Israel, when they went out of the land of Egypt.
In der Lade befand sich nichts als nur die beiden Tafeln, die Mose am Horeb hineingelegt hatte, als der HERR mit den Israeliten nach ihrem Auszug aus Ägypten einen Bund schloß.
11 And it came to pass, when the priests when out of the holy place, (for all the priests that were found were sanctified, they were not [then] arranged according to their daily course, )
Als aber die Priester aus dem Heiligtum hinaustraten – alle Priester nämlich, die zugegen waren, hatten sich geheiligt, ohne daß man Rücksicht auf die (Reihenfolge der) Abteilungen genommen hatte,
12 that all the singing Levites [assigned] to the sons of Asaph, to Aeman, to Idithun, and to his sons, and to his brethren, of them that were clothed in linen garments, with cymbals and lutes and harps, [were] standing before the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests, blowing trumpets.
und die levitischen Sänger standen insgesamt, nämlich Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun nebst ihren Söhnen und Amtsgenossen, in Byssus gekleidet, mit Zimbeln, Harfen und Zithern auf der Ostseite des Altars und bei ihnen an hundertundzwanzig Priester, die auf Trompeten bliesen;
13 And there was one voice in the trumpeting and in the psalm-singing, and in the loud utterance with one voice to give thanks and praise the Lord; and when they raised their voice together with trumpets and cymbals, and instruments of music, and said, Give thanks to the Lord, for [it is] good, for his mercy [endures] for ever: —then the house was filled with the cloud of the glory of the Lord.
es hatten aber die Trompeter und die Sänger wie ein Mann mit einer Stimme einzusetzen, um dem HERRN Lobpreis und Dank darzubringen –, sobald sich also der Schall der Trompeten und Zimbeln und der übrigen Musikinstrumente erhob und man das Loblied auf den HERRN anstimmte: »Denn er ist gütig, und seine Gnade währet ewiglich«: da wurde das Haus, der Tempel des HERRN, von einer Wolke erfüllt,
14 And the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.
so daß die Priester wegen der Wolke nicht hintreten konnten, um ihren Dienst zu versehen; denn die Herrlichkeit des HERRN erfüllte das Gotteshaus.
