1 The sons of Levi: Gedson, Caath, and Merari.
Die Söhne Levis waren: Gerson, Kehath und Merari;
2 And the sons of Caath; Ambram, and Issaar, Chebron, and Oziel.
und die Söhne Kehaths: Amram, Jizhar, Hebron und Ussiel.
3 And the sons of Ambram; Aaron, and Moses, and Mariam: and the sons of Aaron; Nadab, and Abiud, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Und die Söhne Amrams: Aaron und Mose, und (ihre Schwester) Mirjam. Und die Söhne Aarons: Nadab und Abihu, Eleasar und Ithamar.
4 Eleazar begot Phinees, Phinees begot Abisu;
Eleasar zeugte Pinehas, Pinehas zeugte Abisua,
5 Abisu begot Bokki, and Bokki begot Ozi;
Abisua zeugte Bukki, Bukki zeugte Ussi,
6 Ozi begot Zaraia, Zaraia begot Mariel;
Ussi zeugte Serahja, Serahja zeugte Merajoth,
7 and Mariel begot Amaria, and Amaria begot Achitob;
Merajoth zeugte Amarja, Amarja zeugte Ahitub,
8 and Achitob begot Sadoc, and Sadoc begot Achimaas;
Ahitub zeugte Zadok, Zadok zeugte Ahimaaz,
9 and Achimaas begot Azarias, and Azarias begot Joanan;
Ahimaaz zeugte Asarja, Asarja zeugte Johanan,
10 and Joanan begot Azarias: he ministered as priest in the house which Solomon built in Jerusalem.
Johanan zeugte Asarja – das ist derselbe, der den Priesterdienst versah in dem Tempel, den Salomo in Jerusalem erbaut hatte –;
11 And Azarias begot Amaria, and Amaria begot Achitob;
Asarja zeugte Amarja, Amarja zeugte Ahitub,
12 and Achitob begot Sadoc, and Sadoc begot Salom;
Ahitub zeugte Zadok, Zadok zeugte Sallum,
13 and Salom begot Chelcias, and Chelcias begot Azarias;
Sallum zeugte Hilkia, Hilkia zeugte Asarja,
14 and Azarias begot Saraia, and Saraias begot Josadac.
Asarja zeugte Seraja, Seraja zeugte Jozadak;
15 And Josadac went into captivity with Juda and Jerusalem under Nabuchodonosor.
Jozadak aber zog mit, als der HERR die Bewohner von Juda und Jerusalem durch Nebukadnezar in die Gefangenschaft führen ließ.
16 The sons of Levi: Gedson, Caath, and Merari.
Die Söhne Levis waren: Gersom, Kehath und Merari.
17 And these [are] the names of the sons of Gedson; Lobeni, and Semei.
Dies aber sind die Namen der Söhne Gersoms: Libni und Simei.
18 The sons of Caath; Ambram, and Issaar, Chebron, and Oziel.
Und die Söhne Kehaths waren: Amram, Jizhar, Hebron und Ussiel.
19 The sons of Merari; Mooli and Musi: and these [are] the families of Levi, according to their families.
Die Söhne Meraris waren: Mahli und Musi. – Dies aber sind die Geschlechter der Leviten nach ihren Familienvätern:
20 To Gedson—to Lobeni his son—[were born] Jeth his son, Zammath his son,
Von Gersom stammten: sein Sohn Libni, dessen Sohn Jahath, dessen Sohn Simma,
21 Joab his son, Addi his son, Zara his son, Jethri his son.
dessen Sohn Joah, dessen Sohn Iddo, dessen Sohn Serah, dessen Sohn Jeathrai. –
22 The sons of Caath; Aminadab his son, Core his son, Aser his son;
Die Söhne Kehaths waren: sein Sohn Amminadab, dessen Sohn Korah, dessen Sohn Assir,
23 Helcana his son, Abisaph his son, Aser his son:
dessen Sohn Elkana, dessen Sohn Ebjasaph, dessen Sohn Assir,
24 Thaath his son, Uriel his son, Ozia his son, Saul his son.
dessen Sohn Thahath, dessen Sohn Uriel, dessen Sohn Ussia, dessen Sohn Saul.
25 And the sons of Helcana; Amessi, and Achimoth.
Und die Söhne Elkanas waren: Amasai und Ahimoth;
26 Helcana his son, Suphi his son, Cainaath his son;
dessen Sohn war Elkana, dessen Sohn Zophai, dessen Sohn Nahath,
27 Eliab his son, Jeroboam his son, Helcana his son.
dessen Sohn Eliab, dessen Sohn Jeroham, dessen Sohn Elkana (dessen Sohn Samuel).
28 The sons of Samuel; the firstborn Sani, and Abia.
Und die Söhne Samuels waren: der Erstgeborene Joel und der zweite Abia. –
29 The sons of Merari; Mooli, Lobeni his son, Semei his son, Oza his son;
Die Söhne Meraris waren: Mahli, dessen Sohn Libni, dessen Sohn Simei, dessen Sohn Ussa,
30 Samaa his son, Angia his son, Asaias his son.
dessen Sohn Simea, dessen Sohn Haggia, dessen Sohn Asaja.
31 And these [were the men] whom David set over the service of the singers in the house of the Lord when the ark was at rest.
Die folgenden sind es, die David zur Leitung des Gesangs im Tempel des HERRN bestellte, nachdem die Lade dort einen festen Platz gefunden hatte;
32 And they ministered in front of the tabernacle of witness [playing] on instruments, until Solomon built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem; and they stood according to their order for their services.
sie dienten aber als Sänger vor der Wohnung des Offenbarungszeltes, bis Salomo den Tempel des HERRN in Jerusalem erbaut hatte, und verrichteten ihr Amt nach den ihnen erteilten Weisungen.
33 And these [were the men] that stood, and their sons, of the sons of Caath: Aeman the psalm singer, son of Joel, the son of Samuel,
Die folgenden sind es, die das Amt versahen, und ihre Nachkommen: Von den zu den Kehathiten Gehörigen: Heman, der Sänger, der Sohn Joels, des Sohnes Samuels,
34 the son of Helcana, the son of Jeroboam, the son of Eliel, the son of Thoas,
des Sohnes Elkanas, des Sohnes Jerohams, des Sohnes Eliels, des Sohnes Thoahs,
35 the son of Suph, the son of Helcana, the son of Maath, the son of Amathi,
des Sohnes Zuphs, des Sohnes Elkanas, des Sohnes Mahaths, des Sohnes Amasais,
36 the son of Helcana, the son of Joel, the son of Azarias, the son of Japhanias,
des Sohnes Elkanas, des Sohnes Joels, des Sohnes Asarjas, des Sohnes Zephanjas,
37 the son of Thaath, the son of Aser, the son of Abiasaph, the son of Core,
des Sohnes Thahaths, des Sohnes Assirs, des Sohnes Ebjasaphs, des Sohnes Korahs,
38 the son of Isaar, the son of Caath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.

39 And his brother Asaph, who stood at his right hand; Asaph the son of Barachias, the son of Samaa,
Und sein Geschlechtsgenosse war Asaph, der ihm zur Rechten stand: Asaph, der Sohn Berechjas, des Sohnes Simeas,
40 the son of Michael, the son of Baasia, the son of Melchia,
des Sohnes Michaels, des Sohnes Baasejas, des Sohnes Malkias,
41 the son of Athani, the son of Zaarai,
des Sohnes Ethnis, des Sohnes Serahs, des Sohnes Adajas,
42 the son of Adai, the son of Aetham, the son of Zammam, the son of Semei,
des Sohnes Ethans, des Sohnes Simmas, des Sohnes Simeis,
43 the son of Jeeth, the son of Gedson, the son of Levi.

44 And the sons of Merari their brethren on the left hand: Aetham the son of Kisa, the son of Abai, the son of Maloch,
Und von den Nachkommen Meraris, ihren Geschlechtsgenossen, stand zur Linken: Ethan, der Sohn Kisis, des Sohnes Abdis, des Sohnes Malluchs,
45 the son of Asebi,
des Sohnes Hasabjas, des Sohnes Amazjas, des Sohnes Hilkias,
46 the son of Amessias, the son of Bani, the son of Semer,
des Sohnes Amzis, des Sohnes Banis, des Sohnes Semers,
47 the son of Mooli, the son of Musi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.
des Sohnes Mahlis, des Sohnes Musis, des Sohnes Meraris, des Sohnes Levis.
48 And their brethren according to the houses of their fathers, [were] the Levites who were appointed to all the work of ministration of the tabernacle of the house of God.
Ihre Geschlechtsgenossen aber, die übrigen Leviten, waren für den gesamten Dienst an der Wohnung des Tempels Gottes bestellt;
49 And Aaron and his sons [were] to burn incense on the altar of whole burnt offerings, and on the altar of incense, for all the ministry [in] the holy of holies, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all things that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded.
und zwar versahen Aaron und seine Nachkommen den Opferdienst auf dem Brandopferaltar und auf dem Räucheraltar und den gesamten Dienst am Allerheiligsten und was zur Versöhnung Israels diente, ganz so, wie Mose, der Knecht Gottes, geboten hatte.
50 And these [are] the sons of Aaron; Eleazar his son, Phinees his son, Abisu his son,
Dies waren aber die Nachkommen Aarons: sein Sohn Eleasar, dessen Sohn Pinehas, dessen Sohn Abisua,
51 Bokki his son, Ozi his son, Saraia his son,
dessen Sohn Bukki, dessen Sohn Ussi, dessen Sohn Serahja,
52 Mariel his son, Amaria his son, Achitob his son,
dessen Sohn Merajoth, dessen Sohn Amarja, dessen Sohn Ahitub,
53 Sadoc his son, Achimaas his son.
dessen Sohn Zadok, dessen Sohn Ahimaaz.
54 And these [are] their residences in their villages, in their coasts, to the sons of Aaron, to their family the Caathites: for they had the lot.
Folgendes aber sind ihre Wohnsitze nach ihren Niederlassungen in ihrem Gebiet: Den Nachkommen Aarons von dem Geschlecht der Kehathiten – denn auf sie war das erste Los gefallen –,
55 And they gave them Chebron in the land of Juda, and its suburbs round about it.
ihnen gab man Hebron im Lande Juda samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften rings um sie her;
56 But the fields of the city, and its villages, they gave to Chaleb the son of Jephonne.
die zur Stadt gehörigen Felder aber und die zugehörigen Dörfer übergab man Kaleb, dem Sohne Jephunnes.
57 And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of refuge, [even] Chebron, and Lobna and her suburbs round about, and Selna and her suburbs, and Esthamo and her suburbs,
Weiter übergab man den Nachkommen Aarons die Zufluchtstadt Hebron sowie Libna samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, ferner Jatthir und Esthemoa samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
58 and Jethar and her suburbs, and Dabir and her suburbs,
Holon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Debir samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
59 and Asan and her suburbs, and Baethsamys and her suburbs:
Asan samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Beth-Semes samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
60 and of the tribe of Benjamin Gabai and her suburbs, and Galemath and her suburbs, and Anathoth and her suburbs: all their cities [were] thirteen cities according to their families.
Weiter vom Stamme Benjamin: Geba und Allemeth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Anathoth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften. Die Gesamtzahl ihrer Städte betrug dreizehn nach ihren Familien. –
61 And to the sons of Caath that were left of their families, [there were given] out of the tribe, [namely], out of the half-tribe of Manasse, by lot, ten cities.
Die übrigen Nachkommen Kehaths aber erhielten nach ihren Geschlechtern vom Stamme Ephraim und vom Stamme Dan und vom halben Stamm Manasse durchs Los zehn Städte.
62 And to the sons of Gedson according to their families [there were given] thirteen cities of the tribe of Issachar, of the tribe of Aser, of the tribe of Nephthali, of the tribe of Manasse in Basan.
Die Nachkommen Gersoms erhielten nach ihren Geschlechtern vom Stamme Issaschar, vom Stamme Asser, vom Stamme Naphthali und vom halben Stamm Manasse in Basan dreizehn Städte. –
63 And to the sons of Merari according to their families [there were given], by lot, twelve cities of the tribe of Ruben, of the tribe of Gad, [and] of the tribe of Zabulon.
Die Nachkommen Meraris erhielten nach ihren Geschlechtern vom Stamme Ruben, vom Stamme Gad und vom Stamme Sebulon durchs Los zwölf Städte.
64 So the children of Israel gave to the Levites the cities and their suburbs.
So übergaben die Israeliten den Leviten die Städte samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
65 And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Juda, and out of the tribe of the children of Symeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities which they call by name.
und zwar übergaben sie durchs Los jene namentlich angeführten Städte aus den Stämmen Juda, Simeon und Benjamin.
66 And [to the members] of the families of the sons of Caath there were also given the cities of their borders out of the tribe of Ephraim.
Was dann die übrigen Geschlechter der Nachkommen Kahaths anbetrifft, so erhielten sie die Städte, die ihnen durchs Los zufielen, vom Stamme Ephraim abgetreten;
67 And they gave them the cities of refuge, Sychem and her suburbs in mount Ephraim, and Gazer and her suburbs,
und zwar übergab man ihnen die Zufluchtstadt Sichem samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften auf dem Gebirge Ephraim; ferner Geser samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
68 and Jecmaan and her suburbs, and Baethoron and her suburbs,
Jokmeam samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Beth-Horon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
69 and Aelon and her suburbs, and Gethremmon and her suburbs:
Ajjalon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Gath-Rimmon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
70 and of the half-tribe of Manasse Anar and her suburbs, and Jemblaan and her suburbs, to the sons of Caath that were left, according to [each several] family.
dazu vom halben Stamm Manasse: Aner samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Jibleam samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften – diese übergab man den Familien der übrigen Nachkommen Kahaths.
71 To the sons of Gedson from the families of the half-tribe of Manasse [they gave] Golan of Basan and her suburbs, and Aseroth and her suburbs.
Die Nachkommen Gersoms erhielten nach ihren Geschlechtern vom halben Stamm Manasse: Golan in Basan samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Astharoth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
72 And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kedes and her suburbs, and Deberi and her suburbs, and Dabor and her suburbs,
ferner vom Stamme Issaschar: Kedes samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Daberath samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
73 and Ramoth, and Aenan and her suburbs.
Ramoth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Anem samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
74 And of the tribe of Aser; Maasal and her suburbs, and Abdon and her suburbs,
dazu vom Stamme Asser: Masal samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Abdon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
75 and Acac and her suburbs, and Roob and her suburbs.
Hukok samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Rehob samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
76 And of the tribe of Nephthali; Kedes in Galilee and her suburbs, and Chamoth and her suburbs, and Kariathaim and her suburbs.
ferner vom Stamme Naphthali: Kedes in Galiläa samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Hammot samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Kirjathaim samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
77 To the sons of Merari that were left, [they gave] out of the tribe of Zabulon Remmon and her suburbs, and Thabor and her suburbs:
Die übrigen Nachkommen Meraris erhielten vom Stamme Sebulon: Rimmon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Thabor samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
78 out of [the country] beyond Jordan; Jericho westward of Jordan: out of the tribe of Ruben; Bosor in the wilderness and her suburbs, and Jasa and her suburbs,
und jenseits des Jordans gegenüber von Jericho, östlich vom Jordan, erhielten sie vom Stamme Ruben: Bezer in der Steppe samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Jahza samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
79 and Kadmoth and her suburbs, and Maephla and her suburbs.
Kedemoth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Mephaath samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
80 Out of the tribe of Gad; Rammoth Galaad and her suburbs, and Maanaim and her suburbs,
ferner vom Stamme Gad: Ramoth in Gilead samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Mahanaim samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
81 and Esebon and her suburbs, and Jazer and her suburbs.
Hesbon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Jaser samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
