3 Enoch, Mathusala, Lamech,
Henoch, Methusalah, Lamech,
4 Noe: the sons of Noe, Sem, Cham, Japheth.
Noah, Sem, Ham und Japheth.
5 The sons of Japheth, Gamer, Magog, Madaim, Jovan, Helisa, Thobel, Mosoch, and Thiras.
Die Söhne Japheths waren: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Jawan, Thubal, Mesech und Thiras.
6 And the sons of Gamer, Aschanaz, and Riphath, and Thorgama.
Und die Söhne Gomers: Askenas, Diphath und Thogarma.
7 And the sons of Jovan, Helisa, and Tharsis, the Citians, and Rhodians.
Und die Söhne Jawans: Elisa, Tharsis, die Kitthiter und die Rodaniter.
8 And the sons of Cham, Chus, and Mesraim, Phud and Chanaan.
Die Söhne Hams waren: Kusch und Mizraim, Put und Kanaan.
9 And the sons of Chus, Saba, and Evila, and Sabatha, and Regma, and Sebethaca: and the sons of Regma, Saba, and Dadan.
Und die Söhne Kuschs: Seba, Hawila, Sabtha, Ragma und Sabthecha; und die Söhne Ragmas: Seba und Dedan.
10 And Chus begot Nebrod: he began to be a mighty hunter on the earth.
Kusch war der Vater Nimrods; dieser war der erste Gewaltherrscher auf der Erde.
Und Mizraim war der Stammvater der Luditer, der Anamiter, der Lehabiter, der Naphthuhiter,
der Pathrusiter, der Kasluhiter – von denen die Philister ausgegangen sind – und der Kaphthoriter.
Kanaan aber hatte zu Söhnen: Sidon, seinen Erstgeborenen, und den Heth,
ferner die Jebusiter, Amoriter, Girgasiter,
Hewiter, Arkiter, Siniter,
Arwaditer, Zemariter und Hamathiter.
17 The sons of Sem, Aelam, and Assur,
Die Söhne Sems waren: Elam, Assur, Arpachsad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether und Mesech.
18 and Arphaxad, Sala,
Arpachsad aber war der Vater Selahs, und Selah war der Vater Ebers.
Und dem Eber wurden zwei Söhne geboren: der eine hieß Peleg, weil zu seiner Zeit die Bevölkerung der Erde sich teilte, und sein Bruder hieß Joktan.
Und Joktan hatte zu Söhnen: Almodad, Seleph, Hazarmaweth, Jerah,
Hadoram, Usal, Dikla,
Ebal, Abimael, Seba,
Ophir, Hawila und Jobab; diese alle waren Söhne Joktans.
Sem, Arpachsad, Selah,
25 Eber, Pheleg, Ragan,
Eber, Peleg, Regu,
26 Seruch, Nachor, Tharrha,
Serug, Nahor, Therah,
27 Abraam.
Abram, das ist Abraham.
28 And the sons of Abraam, Isaac, and Ismael.
Die Söhne Abrahams waren: Isaak und Ismael.
29 And these [are] their generations: the firstborn of Ismael, Nabaeoth, and Kedar, Nabdeel, Massam,
Dies ist ihr Stammbaum: der Erstgeborene Ismaels Nebajoth; sodann Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
30 Masma, Iduma, Masse, Chondan, Thaeman,
Misma, Duma, Massa, Hadad, Thema,
31 Jettur, Naphes, Kedma: these [are] the sons of Ismael.
Jetur, Naphis und Kedma; das sind die Söhne Ismaels.
32 And the sons of Chettura Abraam's concubine: —and she bore him Zembram, Jexan, Madiam, Madam, Sobac, Soe: and the sons of Jexan; Daedan, and Sabai;
Und die Söhne der Ketura, der Nebenfrau Abrahams: sie gebar Simran, Joksan, Medan, Midian, Jisbak und Suah. Und die Söhne Joksans waren: Seba und Dedan.
33 and the sons of Madiam; Gephar, and Opher, and Enoch, and Abida, and Eldada; all these [were] the sons of Chettura.
Und die Söhne Midians: Epha, Epher, Hanoch, Abida und Eldaa. Diese alle waren Söhne oder Enkel der Ketura.
34 And Abraam begot Isaac: and the sons of Isaac [were] Jacob, and Esau.
Abraham aber war der Vater Isaaks; die Söhne Isaaks waren: Esau und Israel.
35 The sons of Esau, Eliphaz, and Raguel, and Jeul, and Jeglom, and Core.
Die Söhne Esaus waren: Eliphas, Reguel, Jegus, Jaglam und Korah.
36 The sons of Eliphaz: Thaeman, and Omar, Sophar, and Gootham, and Kenez, and Thamna, and Amalec.
Die Söhne des Eliphas waren: Theman, Omar, Zephi, Gaetham, Kenas, Thimna und Amalek.
37 And the sons of Raguel, Naches, Zare, Some, and Moze.
Die Söhne Reguels waren: Nahath, Serah, Samma und Missa. –
38 The sons of Seir, Lotan, Sobal, Sebegon, Ana, Deson, Osar, and Disan.
Und die Söhne Seirs: Lotan, Sobal, Zibeon, Ana, Dison, Ezer und Disan.
39 And the sons of Lotan, Chorri, and Aeman; and the sister of Lotan [was] Thamna.
Und die Söhne Lotans: Hori und Homam; und die Schwester Lotans war Thimna.
40 The sons of Sobal; Alon, Machanath, Taebel, Sophi, and Onan: and the sons of Sebegon; Aeth, and Sonan.
Die Söhne Sobals waren: Aljan, Manahath, Ebal, Sephi und Onam; und die Söhne Zibeons: Ajja und Ana.
41 The sons of Sonan, Daeson: and the sons of Daeson; Emeron, and Asebon, and Jethram, and Charran.
Die Söhne Anas waren: Dison; und die Söhne Disons: Hamran, Esban, Jithran und Cheran.
42 And the sons of Hosar, Balaam, and Zucam, and Acan: the sons of Disan, Os, and Aran.
Die Söhne Ezers waren: Bilhan, Saawan und Jaakan. Die Söhne Disans waren: Uz und Aran.
43 And these [are] their kings, Balac the son of Beor; and the name of his city [was] Dennaba.
Und dies sind die Könige, die im Lande Edom geherrscht haben, ehe ein König über die Israeliten herrschte: Bela, der Sohn Beors; seine Stadt hieß Dinhaba.
44 And Balac died, and Jobab the son of Zara of Bosorrha reigned in his stead.
Nach dem Tode Belas wurde Jobab, der Sohn Serahs, aus Bozra, König an seiner Statt.
45 And Jobab died, and Asom of the land of the Thaemanites reigned in his stead.
Nach dem Tode Jobabs wurde Husam aus dem Lande der Themaniter König an seiner Statt.
46 And Asom died, and Adad the son of Barad reigned in his stead, who struck Madiam in the plain of Moab: and the name of his city [was] Gethaim.
Nach dem Tode Husams wurde Hadad, der Sohn Bedads, König an seiner Statt, derselbe, der die Midianiter auf der Hochebene der Moabiter schlug; seine Stadt hieß Awith.
47 And Adad died, and Sebla of Masecca reigned in his stead.
Nach dem Tode Hadads wurde Samla aus Masreka König an seiner Statt.
48 And Sebla died, and Saul of Rhoboth by the river reigned in his stead.
Nach dem Tode Samlas wurde Saul aus Rehoboth am Euphratstrom König an seiner Statt.
49 And Saul died, and Balaennor son of Achobor reigned in his stead.
Nach dem Tode Sauls wurde Baal-Hanan, der Sohn Achbors, König an seiner Statt.
50 And Balaennor died, and Adad son of Barad reigned in his stead; and the name of his city [was] Phogor.
Nach dem Tode Baal-Hanans wurde Hadad König an seiner Statt: seine Stadt hieß Pagi, und seine Frau hieß Mehetabeel, eine Tochter Matreds, eine Enkelin Mesahabs. –
51 The princes of Edom: prince Thamna, prince Golada, prince Jether,
Nach dem Tode Hadads waren die Häuptlinge der Edomiter: der Häuptling Thimna, der Häuptling Alja, der Häuptling Jetheth,
52 prince Elibamas, prince Elas, prince Phinon,
der Häuptling Oholibama, der Häuptling Ela, der Häuptling Pinon,
53 prince Kenez, prince Thaeman, prince Babsar, prince Magediel,
der Häuptling Kenas, der Häuptling Theman, der Häuptling Mibzar,
54 prince Zaphoin. These [are] the princes of Edom.
der Häuptling Magdiel, der Häuptling Iram. Dies sind die Häuptlinge der Edomiter.
