Psalms 1

1 Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Selig der Mann, der in der Ungerechten Rat nicht wandelt, und auf der Sünder Weg nicht steht, noch sitzet auf der Spötter Sitz.

2 But his delight [is] in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Sondern hat seine Lust am Gesetze Jehovahs, und sinnet in Seinem Gesetze Tag und Nacht.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Und er ist wie ein Baum gepflanzet an Bächlein der Wasser, der seine Frucht gibt zu seiner Zeit und seine Blätter welken nicht, und alles, was er tut, gelingt.

4 The ungodly [are] not so: but [are] like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Nicht so die Ungerechten, sondern wie die Spreu sind sie, welche der Wind vertreibt.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Darum bestehen die Ungerechten nicht im Gericht, noch die Sünder in der Gemeinde der Gerechten.

6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Denn Jehovah kennt den Weg der Gerechten, aber der Ungerechten Weg vergeht.
