Psalms 89
1 Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
Mi canción será de las misericordias del Señor para siempre: con mi boca haré que su fe sea clara para todas las generaciones.
2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
Porque has dicho: La misericordia se fortalecerá para siempre; mi fe será inmutable en los cielos.
3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
He hecho un acuerdo con el hombre de mi selección, he hecho un juramento a David mi siervo;
4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. (Selah)
Haré que tu semilla continúe para siempre, tu reino será fuerte por todas las generaciones. (Selah)
5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
En el cielo, alaben tus maravillas, oh Señor; y tu fe inmutable entre los santos.
6 For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? [who] among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?
Porque ¿quién está en los cielos en comparación con el Señor? ¿Quién es como el Señor entre los hijos de los dioses?
7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all [them that are] about him.
Dios es muy temible entre los santos, y honrado sobre todos los que están a su alrededor.
8 O LORD God of hosts, who [is] a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
Oh Señor Dios de los ejércitos, ¿quién es tan fuerte como tú, oh Jah? y tu fe te rodea.
9 Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
Tú gobiernas el mar en tormenta; cuando sus olas están turbulentas, tú las calmas.
10 Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.
Rahab fue aplastado por ti como un herido hasta la muerte; con tu brazo fuerte hechas a huir a todos tus enemigos.
11 The heavens [are] thine, the earth also [is] thine: [as for] the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
tuyos son los cielos, y la tierra es tuya; tú has hecho el mundo y todo lo que está en él.
12 The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
Tú has hecho el norte y el sur; Tabor y Hermón están sonando con alegría a tu nombre.
13 Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, [and] high is thy right hand.
El tuyo es un brazo de poder; fuerte es tu mano y exaltada tu diestra.
14 Justice and judgment [are] the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
La sede de tu reino reposa sobre la justicia y el derecho de juzgar; misericordia y buena fe están delante de tu faz.
15 Blessed [is] the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
Bienaventuradas las personas que tienen conocimiento de aclamarte: la luz de tu rostro, oh Señor, brillará en su camino.
16 In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
En tu nombre tendrán alegría todo el día; en tu justicia serán ensalzados.
17 For thou [art] the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
Porque tú eres la gloria de su fortaleza; en tu placer se elevará nuestro cuerno.
18 For the LORD [is] our defence; and the Holy One of Israel [is] our king.
Porque nuestra coraza es el Señor; y nuestro rey es el Santo de Israel.
19 Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon [one that is] mighty; I have exalted [one] chosen out of the people.
Entonces tu voz vino a tu santo en visión, diciendo: He puesto el socorro sobre uno que es poderoso; levantando uno tomado de entre la gente.
20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
Descubrí a David mi siervo; He puesto mi aceite santo en su cabeza.
21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
Mi mano será su apoyo; mi brazo le dará fuerza.
22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
El engaño de los que están contra él no lo vencerá; él no será perturbado por los hijos del mal.
23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
Tendré a los que están contra él quebrados delante de él, y sus enemigos serán aplastados bajo mis golpes.
24 But my faithfulness and my mercy [shall be] with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
Pero mi fe y mi misericordia estarán con él; y en mi nombre se levantará su poder.
25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
Pondré su mano en el mar, y su diestra en los ríos.
26 He shall cry unto me, Thou [art] my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
Él me dirá: Tú eres mi padre, mi Dios, y la Roca de mi salvación.
27 Also I will make him [my] firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
Y lo haré el primero de mis hijos, el más grande sobre los reyes de la tierra.
28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
Mantendré mi misericordia por él para siempre; mi acuerdo con él no cambiará.
29 His seed also will I make [to endure] for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
Su simiente guardará su lugar para siempre; su reino será eterno, como los cielos.
30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
Si sus hijos renuncian a mi ley, y no se rigen por mis decisiones;
31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
Si mis reglas están rotas, y mis órdenes no se cumplen;
32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
Entonces les enviaré castigo por su pecado; mi vara será la recompensa de su maldad.
33 Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
Pero no quitaré mi misericordia de él, ni faltaré a mi fidelidad hacia el.
34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
Seré fiel a mi pacto; las cosas que salieron de mis labios no serán cambiadas.
35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
He jurado una vez por mi santo nombre, que no seré falso con David.
36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
Su simiente no se acabará para siempre; el asiento de su reino será como el sol delante de mí.
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and [as] a faithful witness in heaven. (Selah)
Será fijado para siempre como la luna; y el testigo en el cielo es verdad. (Selah)
38 But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
Pero lo has dejado desechado y menospreciado; has estado enojado con el rey de tu selección.
39 Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown [by casting it] to the ground.
Has hecho que tú acuerdo con tu sirviente no tenga ningún efecto: no has tenido respeto por su corona, ha bajado hasta la tierra.
40 Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.
Todas sus paredes están rotas; has dado sus fuertes torres a la destrucción.
41 All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.
Todos los que vienen se llevan sus bienes; sus vecinos se ríen.
42 Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
Has dado poder a la diestra de sus enemigos; has alegrado a todos los que están contra él.
43 Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
Le quitaste el filo a su espada; no has sido su apoyo en la pelea.
44 Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
Has puesto fin a su gloria: el asiento de su reino ha sido nivelado a la tierra.
45 The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. (Selah)
Lo has hecho viejo antes de su tiempo; él está cubierto de vergüenza. (Selah)
46 How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?
¿Hasta cuándo, Oh Señor?, te esconderás para siempre de nuestros ojos? ¿Hasta cuándo se encenderá tu ira como el fuego?
47 Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
Vea cuán corto es mi tiempo; ¿Por qué has hecho a todos los hombres sin ningún propósito?
48 What man [is he that] liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
¿Qué hombre que ahora vive no verá la muerte? ¿Podrá retener su alma del inframundo? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
49 Lord, where [are] thy former lovingkindnesses, [which] thou swarest unto David in thy truth?
Señor, ¿dónde están tus primeras misericordias? ¿Dónde está el juramento que le hiciste a David en fe inmutable?
50 Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; [how] I do bear in my bosom [the reproach of] all the mighty people;
Ten en cuenta, oh Señor, la vergüenza de tus siervos, y cómo las amargas palabras de todo el pueblo llevo en mi corazón;
51 Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
Las palabras amargas de tus enemigos, oh Señor, avergonzado los pasos de tu rey.
52 Blessed [be] the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
Sea el Señor alabado para siempre. Entonces que así sea, que así sea.
