Psalms 73
1 A Psalm of Asaph. Truly God [is] good to Israel, [even] to such as are of a clean heart.
| مزمور آساف. براستی، خدا برای اسرائیل نیکوست یعنی برای آنانی که پاکدل هستند. |
2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
| اما من نزدیک بود ایمانم را از دست بدهم و از راه راست گمراه شوم. |
3 For I was envious at the foolish, [when] I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
| زیرا بر کامیابی بدکاران و شریران حسد بردم. |
4 For [there are] no bands in their death: but their strength [is] firm.
| دیدم که در زندگی درد نمی‌کشند و بدنی قوی و سالم دارند. |
5 They [are] not in trouble [as other] men; neither are they plagued like [other] men.
| مانند سایرین در زحمت نمی‌افتند و هیچ گرفتاری ندارند؛ |
6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them [as] a garment.
| در نتیجه با تکبر راه می‌روند و به مردم ظلم می‌کنند. |
7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
| قلبشان مملو از خباثت است و از فکرشان شرارت تراوش می‌کند. |
8 They are corrupt, and speak wickedly [concerning] oppression: they speak loftily.
| مردم را مسخره می‌کنند و حرفهای کثیف بر زبان می‌رانند. با غرور سخن می‌گویند و نقشه‌های شوم می‌کشند. |
9 They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
| به خدایی که در آسمان است کفر می‌گویند و به انسانی که بر زمین است فحاشی می‌کنند. |
10 Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full [cup] are wrung out to them.
| پس مردم گول زندگی پرناز و نعمت آنها را می‌خورند |
11 And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
| و می‌گویند: «خدای چگونه بداند؟ آیا آن متعال می‌داند بر این زمین چه می‌گذرد؟» |
12 Behold, these [are] the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase [in] riches.
| به این مردم شرور نگاه کنید! ببینید چه زندگی راحتی دارند و چگونه به ثروت خود می‌افزایند. |
13 Verily I have cleansed my heart [in] vain, and washed my hands in innocency.
| پس آیا من بیهوده خود را پاک نگه داشته‌ام و نگذاشته‌ام دستهایم به گناه آلوده شوند؟ |
14 For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
| نتیجه‌ای که هر روز از این کار عایدم می‌شود رنج و زحمت است. |
15 If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend [against] the generation of thy children.
| ولی اگر این فکرهایم را بر زبان می‌آوردم، جزو مردم خداشناس محسوب نمی‌شدم. |
16 When I thought to know this, it [was] too painful for me;
| هر چه فکر کردم نتوانستم بفهمم که چرا بدکاران در زندگی کامیاب هستند؛ |
17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; [then] understood I their end.
| تا اینکه به خانهٔ خدا رفتم و در آنجا به عاقبت کار آنها پی بردم. |
18 Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
| ای خدا، تو بدکاران را بر پرتگاه‌های لغزنده گذاشته‌ای تا بیفتند و نابود شوند. |
19 How are they [brought] into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
| آری، آنها ناگهان غافلگیر شده، از ترس قالب تهی خواهند کرد. |
20 As a dream when [one] awaketh; [so], O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
| آنها مانند خوابی هستند که وقتی انسان بیدار می‌شود از ذهنش محو شده است؛ همچنین وقتی تو ای خداوند، برخیزی آنها محو و نابود خواهند شد! |
21 Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.
| وقتی من به این حقیقت پی بردم، از خود شرمنده شدم! |
22 So foolish [was] I, and ignorant: I was [as] a beast before thee.
| من احمق و نادان بودم و نزد تو ای خدا، مانند حیوان بی‌شعور رفتار کردم! |
23 Nevertheless I [am] continually with thee: thou hast holden [me] by my right hand.
| با این حال، تو هنوز هم مرا دوست داری و دست مرا در دست خود گرفته‌ای! |
24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me [to] glory.
| تو با رهنمودهایت مرا در زندگی هدایت خواهی کرد و در آخر مرا به حضور پرجلالت خواهی پذیرفت. |
25 Whom have I in heaven [but thee]? and [there is] none upon earth [that] I desire beside thee.
| ای خدا، من تو را در آسمان دارم؛ این برای من کافی است و هیچ چیز دیگر بر زمین نمی‌خواهم. |
26 My flesh and my heart faileth: [but] God [is] the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
| اگرچه فکر و بدنم ناتوان شوند، اما تو ای خدا، قوت و تکیه‌گاه همیشگی من هستی! |
27 For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.
| خدا کسانی را که از او دور شوند و به او خیانت کنند، نابود خواهد کرد. |
28 But [it is] good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
| اما من از اینکه نزدیک تو هستم لذت می‌برم! ای خداوند، من به تو توکل نموده‌ام و تمام کارهایت را می‌ستایم! |
