Psalms 66
1 To the chief Musician, A Song [or] Psalm. Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
Para el músico jefe. Una canción. Un salmo. ¡Aclamad a Dios con alegría, toda la tierra!
2 Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
¡Cantad a la gloria de su nombre! ¡Ofrezcan gloria y alabanza!
3 Say unto God, How terrible [art thou in] thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
Dile a Dios: “¡Cuán asombrosas son tus obras! Por la grandeza de tu poder, tus enemigos se someten a ti.
4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing [to] thy name. (Selah)
Toda la tierra te adorará, y te cantará; cantarán a tu nombre”. (Selah)
5 Come and see the works of God: [he is] terrible [in his] doing toward the children of men.
Venid y ved las hazañas de Dios. una obra impresionante en favor de los hijos de los hombres.
6 He turned the sea into dry [land: ] they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
Convirtió el mar en tierra seca. Atravesaron el río a pie. Allí, nos regocijamos en él.
7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. (Selah)
Él gobierna con su poderío para siempre. Sus ojos vigilan a las naciones. No dejes que los rebeldes se levanten contra él. (Selah)
8 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:
¡Alabad a nuestro Dios, pueblos! Haz que se escuche el sonido de su alabanza,
9 Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
que preserva nuestra vida entre los vivos, y no permite que nuestros pies se muevan.
10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
Porque tú, Dios, nos has puesto a prueba. Nos has refinado, como se refina la plata.
11 Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.
Nos has llevado a la cárcel. Has puesto una carga sobre nuestras espaldas.
12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy [place].
Permitiste que los hombres pasaran por encima de nuestras cabezas. Pasamos por el fuego y por el agua, pero nos has traído al lugar de la abundancia.
13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
Entraré en tu templo con holocaustos. Te pagaré mis votos,
14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
que mis labios prometieron, y mi boca hablaba, cuando estaba angustiado.
15 I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. (Selah)
Te ofreceré holocaustos de animales gordos, con la ofrenda de carneros, Ofreceré toros con cabras. (Selah)
16 Come [and] hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
Venid a escuchar, todos los que teméis a Dios. Declararé lo que ha hecho por mi alma.
17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
Le grité con la boca. Fue ensalzado con mi lengua.
18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear [me: ]
Si yo acariciara el pecado en mi corazón, el Señor no habría escuchado.
19 [But] verily God hath heard [me; ] he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
Pero, ciertamente, Dios ha escuchado. Él ha escuchado la voz de mi oración.
20 Blessed [be] God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
Bendito sea Dios, que no ha rechazado mi oración, ni su amorosa bondad de mi parte.
