Proverbs 24
1 Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.
၁မတရားသောသူတို့ကို မငြူစူနှင့်။ သူတို့နှင့် ပေါင်းဘော်ခြင်းငှါ အလိုမရှိနှင့်။
2 For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.
၂သူတို့သည် ဖျက်ဆီးခြင်းငှါ နှလုံးကြံစည်တတ် ၏။ နှုတ်နှင့်လည်း ဘေးပြုမည်စကားကို ပြောတတ်၏။
3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
၃ဥာဏ်ပညာအားဖြင့် အိမ်ကိုတည်ဆောက်၍ ခိုင်ခံ့မြဲမြံစေရ၏။
4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
၄ပညာအတတ်အားဖြင့် အခန်းများတို့သည် အဘိုးထိုက်၍၊ နှစ်သက်ဘွယ်သော ဥစ္စာအပေါင်းတို့နှင့် ပြည့်ရကြ၏။
5 A wise man [is] strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
၅ပညာရှိသောသူသည် တန်ခိုးရှိ၏။ ပညာ အတတ်နှင့် ပြည့်စုံသောသူသည် ခွန်အားတိုးပွါးတတ်၏။
6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors [there is] safety.
၆ပညာရှိတို့နှင့် တိုင်ပင်ပြီးမှ စစ်မှုကိုပြုရ၏။ အကြံပေးနိုင်သော သူများစွာရှိလျှင်၊ ဘေးလွတ်တတ်၏။
7 Wisdom [is] too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.
၇ပညာမြင့်သောကြောင့် မိုက်သောသူမမှီနိုင်။ မြို့တံခါးဝ၌ စကားမပြောဝံ့။
8 He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.
၈မကောင်းသောအမှုကို ပြုခြင်းငှါ ကြံစည်သော သူကို၊ ဘေးပြုသောသူဟူ၍ မှည့်ရ၏။
9 The thought of foolishness [is] sin: and the scorner [is] an abomination to men.
၉မိုက်သောအကြံအစည်၌ အပြစ်ပါ၏။ မထီမဲ့ မြင်ပြုသော သူသည်လည်း၊ လူစက်ဆုပ်ရွံရှာဘွယ်ဖြစ် ၏။
10 [If] thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength [is] small.
၁၀သင်သည် အမှုရောက်သောကာလ၌ စိတ်ပျက် လျှင် အားနည်း၏။
11 If thou forbear to deliver [them that are] drawn unto death, and [those that are] ready to be slain;
၁၁သင်္ချိုင်းသို့ထုတ်၍ အသေခံလုသောသူတို့ကို သင်သည် နှုတ်အံ့သောငှါ၊ အားမထုတ်ဘဲနေလျက်၊
12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider [it]? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth [not] he know [it]? and shall [not] he render to [every] man according to his works?
၁၂ငါ့တို့မသိဟုဆိုသော်လည်း၊ နှလုံးသဘောကို ဆင်ခြင်သောသူသည် မမှတ်၊ သင်၏စိတ်ဝိညာဉ်ကို စောင့်သောသူသည် မသိဘဲ၊ လူအသီးအသီးတို့အား သူတို့အကျင့်နှင့်အလျောက်၊ အကျိုးအပြစ်ကို မဆပ် မပေးဘဲ နေတော်မူမည်လော။
13 My son, eat thou honey, because [it is] good; and the honeycomb, [which is] sweet to thy taste:
၁၃ငါ့သား၊ ပျားရည်ကောင်းသောကြောင့် စား လော့။ ချိုမြိန်သော ပျားလပို့ကိုလည်း စားလော့။
14 So [shall] the knowledge of wisdom [be] unto thy soul: when thou hast found [it], then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.
၁၄ထိုအတူ၊ သင်တွေ့ရသောပညာတရားသည် စိတ်ဝိညာဉ်၌ အရသာနှင့်ပြည့်စုံ၍၊ သင်သည် မြော်လင့် ခြင်းအကြောင်းမပျက်၊ ကောင်းသောအကျိုးကို ခံရလိမ့် မည်။
15 Lay not wait, O wicked [man], against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place:
၁၅အိုမတရားသောသူ၊ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏ အိမ် ကို ချောင်း၍ မကြည့်နှင့်။ သူ၏ ငြိမ်ဝပ်ရာအရပ်ကို မဖျက်နှင့်။
16 For a just [man] falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
၁၆ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူသည် ခုနစ်ကြိမ်လဲသော် လည်း ထပြန်လိမ့်မည်။ မတရားသောသူမူကား၊ လဲသောအခါ ဆုံးရှုံးလိမ့်မည်။
17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:
၁၇သင်၏ရန်သူလဲသောအခါ ဝမ်းမမြောက်နှင့်။ ခြေထိခိုက်သောအခါ ရွှင်လန်းသောစိတ်မရှိနှင့်။
18 Lest the LORD see [it], and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.
၁၈ရှိလျှင် ထာဝရဘုရားသိမြင်သဖြင့်၊ မနှစ်သက် ဘဲ သူမှ အမျက်တော်ကို လွှဲတော်မူမည်။
19 Fret not thyself because of evil [men], neither be thou envious at the wicked;
၁၉မတရားသောသူတို့ကြောင့် စိတ်မပူနှင့်။ အဓမ္မ လူတို့ကို မငြူစူနှင့်။
20 For there shall be no reward to the evil [man; ] the candle of the wicked shall be put out.
၂၀အကြောင်းမူကား၊ မတရားသောသူသည် အကျိုးကိုမရ။ အဓမ္မလူ၏ မီးခွက်သည် သေလိမ့်မည်။
21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: [and] meddle not with them that are given to change:
၂၁ငါ့သား၊ ထာဝရဘုရားကို၎င်း၊ ရှင်ဘုရင်ကို၎င်း၊ ကြောက်ရွံ့လော့။ မတည်ကြည်သောသူတို့နှင့် ရောနှော မပေါင်းဘော်နှင့်။
22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?
၂၂သူတို့ဘေးသည် ချက်ခြင်းရောက်တတ်၏။ ထိုနှစ်ပါးတို့၏ အဆုံးကို အဘယ်သူသိသနည်း။
23 These [things] also [belong] to the wise. [It is] not good to have respect of persons in judgment.
၂၃ထိုမှတပါး၊ ပညာရှိတို့နှင့်ဆိုင်သော အရာဟူမူ ကား၊ တရားတွေ့မှု စီရင်ရာတွင် လူမျက်နှာကို မထောက် ကောင်း။
24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou [art] righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:
၂၄သင်သည် ဖြောင့်မတ်၏ဟု မတရားသောသူ အား ဆိုသောသူကို လူအမျိုးတို့သည် ကျိန်ဆဲကြလိမ့်မည်။ လူအနွှယ်တို့သည် စက်ဆုပ်ရွံရှာကြလိမ့်မည်။
25 But to them that rebuke [him] shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.
၂၅ဆုံးမပြစ်တင်သောသူတို့မူကား၊ စိတ်သာယာလျက်၊ ကောင်းကြီးမင်္ဂလာကို ခံလျက်ရှိကြ လိမ့်မည်။
26 [Every man] shall kiss [his] lips that giveth a right answer.
၂၆မှန်သောစကားကို ပြန်ပြောတတ်သောသူ၏ နှုတ်ကို လူတိုင်းနမ်းလိမ့်မည်။
27 Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.
၂၇ပြင်အရပ်မှာ သင်၏အလုပ်ကိုပြင်လော့။ လယ်တော၌ ကိုယ်အဘို့ ပြင်ဆင်လော့။ နောက်မှ သင်၏ နေရာအိမ်ကို ဆောက်လော့။
28 Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and deceive [not] with thy lips.
၂၈သင်၏အိမ်နီးချင်းတဘက်၌ အကြောင်းမရှိဘဲ သက်သေမခံနှင့်။ ကိုယ်နှုတ်နှင့် သူတပါးကို မလှည့်စား နှင့်။
29 Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.
၂၉သူသည် ငါ၌ပြုသည်အတိုင်း သူ၌ငါပြုမည်။ သူ့အကျင့်နှင့်အလျောက် အကျိုးအပြစ်ကို ငါဆပ်ပေး မည်ဟု မဆိုနှင့်။
30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;
၃၀ပျင်းရိသောသူ၏ လယ်ယာအနားနှင့်၊ ဥာဏ်မရှိ သောသူ၏ စပျစ်ဥယျာဉ်အနားမှာ ငါရှောက်သွားစဉ်၊
31 And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, [and] nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.
၃၁ဆူးပင်များပြား၍၊ မြေတပြင်လုံး၌ ဆူးလေပင် အနှံ့အပြား လွှမ်းမိုးလျက်၊ ကျောက်ရိုးပြိုလျက်ရှိသည်ကို၊
32 Then I saw, [and] considered [it] well: I looked upon [it, and] received instruction.
၃၂ငါမြင်၍ စေ့စေ့ဆင်ခြင်၏။ ကြည့်ရှု၍ သွန်သင် ခြင်းကို ခံရ၏။
33 [Yet] a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
၃၃ခဏအိပ်လျက်၊ ခဏပျော်လျက်၊ အိပ်ပျော်ခြင်း ငှါ၊ ခဏ လက်ချင်းပိုက်လျက်နေစဉ်တွင်၊
34 So shall thy poverty come [as] one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.
၃၄ဆင်းရဲခြင်းသည် ခရီးသွားသောသူကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ ဥစ္စာပြုန်းတီးခြင်းသည် သူရဲကဲ့သို့၎င်း ရောက်လာလိမ့် မည်။
