Mark 11
1 And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
Comme ils approchaient de Jérusalem, et qu'ils étaient près de Bethphagé et de Béthanie, vers la montagne des Oliviers, Jésus envoya deux de ses disciples;
2 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring [him].
et il leur dit: Allez au village qui est devant vous. Dès que vous y serez entrés, vous trouverez un ânon attaché, sur lequel personne n'est encore monté; détachez-le, et amenez-le-moi.
3 And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
Si quelqu'un vous dit: Pourquoi faites-vous cela? — vous répondrez: Le Seigneur en a besoin. Et aussitôt il l'enverra ici.
4 And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
Ils s'en allèrent, et ils trouvèrent l'ânon attaché dehors devant une porte, au tournant du chemin; et ils le détachèrent.
5 And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
Quelques-uns de ceux qui étaient là leur dirent: Pourquoi détachez-vous cet ânon?
6 And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
Ils leur répondirent comme Jésus le leur avait commandé; et on les laissa aller.
7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
Ils amenèrent à Jésus l'ânon, sur lequel ils mirent leurs vêtements; et Jésus monta dessus.
8 And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed [them] in the way.
Plusieurs étendirent leurs vêtements sur le chemin, d'autres des branches d'arbres coupées dans les champs.
9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
Et ceux qui marchaient devant, comme ceux qui suivaient, criaient: Hosanna! Béni soit celui qui vient au nom du Seigneur!
10 Blessed [be] the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
Béni soit le règne qui vient, le règne de David, notre père! Hosanna au plus haut des cieux!
11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
Jésus entra dans Jérusalem, et il se rendit au temple; puis, ayant porté ses regards sur tout ce qui l'entourait, comme il était déjà tard, il sortit pour aller à Béthanie avec les Douze.
12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
Le lendemain, quand ils eurent quitté Béthanie, il eut faim.
13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not [yet].
Apercevant de loin un figuier qui avait des feuilles, il alla voir s'il y trouverait du fruit; mais, s'en étant approché, il n'y trouva que des feuilles; car ce n'était pas la saison des figues.
14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard [it.] (aiōn g165)
Alors, prenant la parole, il dit au figuier: Que jamais personne ne mange de ton fruit! Et ses disciples l'entendirent. (aiōn g165)
15 And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
Puis ils vinrent à Jérusalem. Jésus, étant entré dans le temple, se mit à chasser ceux qui vendaient et qui achetaient dans le temple, et il renversa les tables des changeurs et les sièges de ceux qui vendaient les pigeons.
16 And would not suffer that any man should carry [any] vessel through the temple.
Il ne permettait à personne de porter aucun objet à travers le temple.
17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Et il les enseignait, en disant: N'est-il pas écrit: «Ma maison sera appelée une maison de prière pour toutes les nations»? Mais vous, vous en avez fait une caverne de voleurs.
18 And the scribes and chief priests heard [it], and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
Les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes, l'ayant entendu, cherchaient les moyens de le faire périr; car ils le craignaient, parce que toute la foule était frappée de son enseignement.
19 And when even was come, he went out of the city.
Quand le soir fut venu, ils sortirent de la ville.
20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
Le lendemain matin, comme ils revenaient, ils virent le figuier séché jusqu'aux racines.
21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
Alors Pierre, se souvenant de ce qui s'était passé, lui dit: Maître, vois! Le figuier que tu as maudit a séché.
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
Jésus, prenant la parole, leur dit: Ayez foi en Dieu.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
En vérité. Je vous le déclare, quiconque dira à cette montagne: Soulève-toi et jette-toi dans la mer. — s'il ne doute pas dans son coeur, mais s'il croit que ce qu'il dit s'accomplira, cela lui sera accordé.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them].
C'est pourquoi, je vous le déclare: Tout ce que vous demanderez en priant, croyez que vous l'avez obtenu, et cela vous sera accordé.
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Et quand vous vous levez pour prier, si vous avez quelque chose contre quelqu'un, pardonnez, afin que votre Père qui est dans les cieux vous pardonne aussi vos fautes.
26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
[Mais si vous ne pardonnez pas, votre Père, qui est dans les cieux, ne vous pardonnera pas non plus vos fautes.]
27 And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
Ils revinrent à Jérusalem. Comme il allait et venait dans le temple, les principaux sacrificateurs, les scribes et les anciens s'approchèrent de lui,
28 And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
et ils lui dirent: En vertu de quelle autorité fais-tu ces choses? Qui t'a donné l'autorité de les faire?
29 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
Jésus leur dit: Je vous poserai, moi aussi, une question; répondez-moi, et je vous dirai en vertu de quelle autorité je fais ces choses.
30 The baptism of John, was [it] from heaven, or of men? answer me.
Le baptême de Jean venait-il du ciel ou des hommes? Répondez-moi.
31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
Or, ils raisonnaient ainsi entre eux: Si nous disons: Du Ciel. — il dira: Pourquoi donc n'avez-vous pas cru à sa parole?
32 But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all [men] counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
Si nous disons, au contraire: Des hommes. — nous avons à craindre le peuple. En effet, tous croyaient que Jean était véritablement un prophète.
33 And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
Ils répondirent donc à Jésus: Nous ne savons. Alors Jésus leur dit: Et moi non plus, je ne vous dirai point en vertu de quelle autorité je fais ces choses.
