John 14
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Euer Herz erbebe nicht! Glaubt an Gott und glaubt an Mich.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
In Meines Vaters Hause sind viele Wohnungen. Wäre dem nicht so, Ich hätte es euch gesagt. Ich gehe hin, euch eine Stätte zu bereiten.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.
Und wenn Ich hingehe und euch eine Stätte bereite, komme Ich wieder und werde euch zu Mir mitnehmen, auf daß ihr seid, wo Ich bin.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Und wo Ich hingehe, wisset ihr, und den Weg wisset ihr.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
Spricht zu Ihm Thomas: Herr, wir wissen nicht, wo Du hingehst; und wie können wir den Weg wissen?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Spricht zu ihm Jesus: Ich bin der Weg und die Wahrheit und das Leben; niemand kommt zum Vater, denn durch Mich.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Erkennetet ihr Mich, so erkennetet ihr auch wohl Meinen Vater; und von nun an erkennet ihr Ihn und habt Ihn gesehen.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Spricht zu Ihm Philippus: Herr, zeige uns den Vater, und es genügt uns.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?
Spricht zu ihm Jesus: So lange Zeit bin Ich bei euch, und du erkennst Mich nicht Philippus? Wer Mich gesehen hat, der hat den Vater gesehen. Und wie sagst du: Zeige uns den Vater?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Glaubst du nicht, daß Ich in dem Vater bin und der Vater in Mir ist? Die Reden, die Ich zu euch rede, rede Ich nicht von Mir; der Vater aber, Der in Mir bleibt, Der tut die Werke.
11 Believe me that I [am] in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
Glaubt Mir, daß Ich im Vater bin und der Vater in Mir ist; wo nicht, so glaubt Mir um der Werke willen.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Wahrlich, wahrlich, Ich sage euch: Wer an Mich glaubt, wird auch die Werke tun, die Ich tue, und wird noch größere tun, denn diese; denn Ich gehe zu Meinem Vater.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Und um was immer ihr bitten werdet in Meinem Namen, das will Ich tun, auf daß der Vater in dem Sohn verherrlicht werde.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it.]
Wenn ihr um etwas bitten werdet in Meinem Namen, so will Ich es tun.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Wenn ihr Mich liebt, so haltet Meine Gebote.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; (aiōn g165)
Und Ich werde den Vater bitten, und Er wird euch einen anderen Beistand geben, daß er bei euch bleibe ewiglich. (aiōn g165)
17 [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Den Geist der Wahrheit, den die Welt nicht empfangen kann, weil sie ihn nicht schaut und nicht erkennt. Ihr aber erkennt ihn, weil er bei euch bleibt, und in euch sein wird.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
Ich will euch nicht Waisen lassen; Ich komme zu euch.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
Noch um ein Kleines, und die Welt schaut Mich nicht mehr. Ihr aber schaut Mich; denn Ich lebe und ihr sollt leben.
20 At that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
An selbigen Tage werdet ihr erkennen, daß Ich in Meinem Vater bin und ihr in Mir, und Ich in euch.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Wer Meine Gebote hat und sie hält, der ist es, der Mich liebt, und wer Mich liebt, der wird von Meinen Vater geliebt werden, und Ich werde ihn lieben und Mich ihm offenbaren.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
Spricht zu Ihm Judas: Herr, wie geschieht es, daß Du Dich uns willst offenbaren, und nicht der Welt?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Wenn jemand Mich liebt, wird er Mein Wort halten; und Mein Vater wird ihn lieben, und Wir werden zu ihm kommen und Wohnung bei ihm machen.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
Wer Mich nicht liebt, hält Meine Worte nicht. Und das Wort, das ihr hört, ist nicht Mein, sondern des Vaters, Der Mich gesandt hat.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being [yet] present with you.
Solches habe Ich zu euch geredet, weil Ich noch bei euch blieb.
26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Der Beistand aber, der Heilige Geist, den der Vater in Meinem Namen senden wird, der wird euch alles lehren, und euch an alles erinnern, was Ich euch gesagt habe.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Friede lasse Ich euch, Meinen Frieden gebe Ich euch; nicht wie die Welt gibt, gebe Ich euch. Euer Herz erbebe nicht und zage nicht.
28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come [again] unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
Ihr habt gehört, daß Ich zu euch gesagt habe: Ich gehe hin und komme zu euch. Liebtet ihr Mich, so freuetet ihr euch wohl, daß Ich sagte: Ich gehe hin zum Vater; denn der Vater ist größer, denn Ich.
29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
Und Ich habe es euch jetzt gesagt, ehe denn es geschieht, auf daß ihr glaubt, wenn es geschieht.
30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
Ich werde nicht mehr viel mit euch reden; denn es kommt der Fürst der Welt, und hat nichts an Mir;
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
Damit aber die Welt erkenne, daß Ich den Vater liebe und also tue, wie Mir der Vater geboten hat. Machet euch auf, und lasset uns von hinnen gehen!
