< Job 42 >

1 Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
To naah Job mah Angraeng khaeah,
2 I know that thou canst do every [thing], and [that] no thought can be withholden from thee.
hmuennawk boih na sak thaih, tito ka panoek; hmuen sak han nam sakhaih mi mah doeh pakaa thai ai, tito ka panoek.
3 Who [is] he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
Panoekhaih tawn ai ah ka thuih ih lok anghmasak kami loe mi aa? tiah lok nang dueng; kai loe ka panoek ai ih loknawk, ka panoek ai ih hmuennawk hoi paroeai dawnrai koi hmuennawk to ka thuih moeng boeh.
4 Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
Nang mah, Tahngai ah, lok kang thuih han; kang dueng ih lok to na pathim ah, tiah nang naa.
5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
Na thuih ih lok to ka naa mah thaih boeh, vaihi ka mik mah nang to hnuk boeh.
6 Wherefore I abhor [myself], and repent in dust and ashes.
To pongah kaimah hoi kaimah hae panuet moe, dawnpakhuemhaih amtuengsak hanah, maiphu hoi vaipoep nuiah kang hnut boeh, tiah a naa.
7 And it was [so], that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me [the thing that is] right, as my servant Job [hath].
Angraeng mah Job khaeah hae loknawk thuih pacoengah, Angraeng mah Teman acaeng Eliphaz khaeah, Nang hoi nam pui hnik nuiah palung ka phui; ka tamna Job mah thuih ih lok baktiah, loktang ah kaom kai kawng to na thui hoi ai.
8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you [after your] folly, in that ye have not spoken of me [the thing which is] right, like my servant Job.
To pongah vaihi maitaw tae sarihto hoi tuu tae sarihto lak pacoengah, ka tamna Job khaeah caeh oh loe, nangmacae hanah hmai angbawnhaih to sah oh; ka tamna Job mah nangcae han lawk na thui pae tih; anih lawkthuihaih to ka talawk pae han; toe ka tamna Job mah thuih ih lok baktiah, loktang ah kaom kai kawng to na thui hoi ai pongah, nam thu o haih atho to kang pathok han, tiah a naa.
9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite [and] Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.
To pongah, Teman acaeng Eliphaz, Shuh acaeng Bildad hoi Namaath acaeng Zophar cae loe caeh o moe, Angraeng mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah a sak o; to naah Angraeng mah Job lawkthuihaih to tahngaih pae.
10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Job mah ampuinawk han lawkthuih pae pacoengah, Angraeng mah canghniah tawnh ih hmuen pongah alet hnetto kamtlai ah angraenghaih to paek let.
11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
To pacoengah angmah ih nawkamyanawk, a tanunawk, ampui kangzongnawk anih khaeah angzoh o moe, a im ah anih hoi nawnto buhcaakhaih to a sak o; Angraeng mah anih nuiah phaksak ih raihaih pongah nihcae mah anih to palungset o haih moe, pathloep o; nihcae boih mah sum kanglung phoisa hoi sui bantuek maeto anih hanah paqum pae o.
12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
Hnukkhuem ah loe Angraeng mah Job hanah hmaloe ih pongah kamtlai ah tahamhoihaih to paek pongah, tuu sang hatlai palito, kaengkuu hrang sang tarukto, laikok atok thaih maitaw tae sangto hoi laa hrang sangto a tawnh.
13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.
Anih mah capa sarihto hoi canu thumto sak let.
14 And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Keren-happuch.
Canu kacoeh loe Jemima, hnetto haih loe Kezia, thumto haih loe Keren-Happuh, tiah ahmin phui.
15 And in all the land were no women found [so] fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
Prae thung boih ah Job canu baktih kranghoih nongpata mi doeh om ai; nihcae ih ampa Job loe a canunawk hanah, nihcae ih thangqoi nongpanawk hoi kangvan ah qawk to pazet pae.
16 After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, [even] four generations.
To pacoengah Job loe saning cumvai, quipalito hing; a caanawk hnuk pacoengah, a caanawk ih caa patoeng, adung pali karoek to hnuk vop.
17 So Job died, [being] old and full of days.
Job loe saning akoep moe, mitong naah duek.
