< Job 29 >

1 Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
Na Job el sifil mutawauk in kaskas:
2 Oh that I were as [in] months past, as [in] the days [when] God preserved me;
“Saok moul luk uh in ku in sifil folokla Oana ke pacl se God El tuh karinginyu ah.
3 When his candle shined upon my head, [and when] by his light I walked [through] darkness;
In pacl sac God El tuh wiyu na pacl nukewa, Ac ase kalem nu sik ke nga fufahsryesr in lohsr uh.
4 As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God [was] upon my tabernacle;
In len ingo pa nga tuh arulana fokoko, Ac asruoki lun God nu sik arulana karingin inkul sik wo.
5 When the Almighty [was] yet with me, [when] my children [were] about me;
God Kulana El tuh arulana wiyu, Ac tulik nutik nukewa elos muta yuruk.
6 When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil;
Yohk sronin titi lun cow ac nani nutik, Ac eot in itat olive nu ke oil, yohk oil soror kac.
7 When I went out to the gate through the city, [when] I prepared my seat in the street!
Pacl nukewa ma mwet matu in siti uh ac toeni, Ac nga eis acn sik inmasrlolos uh,
8 The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, [and] stood up.
Mwet fusr uh ac sa na sekinyula elos fin liyeyuyak, Ac mukul matu elos tuyak in akkalemye akfulat lalos nu sik.
9 The princes refrained talking, and laid [their] hand on their mouth.
Mwet kol uh ac tui pac tila sramsram;
10 The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth.
Finne mwet ma fulat selos uh, ac misla pac.
11 When the ear heard [me], then it blessed me; and when the eye saw [me], it gave witness to me:
“Mwet nukewa su liyeyu meet, ku lohng sramsram keik, Elos ac kaksakinyu, ac srumunna woiyen orekma luk.
12 Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and [him that had] none to help him.
Ke mwet sukasrup elos tuh ngusr, nga kasrelos; Nga kasru pac tulik mukaimtal ma wangin mwet in kasrelos.
13 The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.
Mwet ma muta in ongoiya elos kaksakinyu, Ac katinmas uh elos arulana engankin kasru nga oru nu selos.
14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment [was] as a robe and a diadem.
Pacl nukewa nga oru na ma suwohs ac pwaye.
15 I was eyes to the blind, and feet [was] I to the lame.
Nga oana atronmuta nu sin mwet kun, Ac oana nia nu sin mwet ma tia ku in fahsr.
16 I [was] a father to the poor: and the cause [which] I knew not I searched out.

17 And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth.
Nga kunausla ku lun mwet sulallal, Ac molela mwet ma elos akkeokye uh.
18 Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply [my] days as the sand.
“Pacl nukewa nga tuh nunku mu moul luk ac loes na, Ac nga ac misa na in misla yurin tulik nutik, in lohm sik sifacna.
19 My root [was] spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch.
Nga tuh oana soko sak ma oasr kof ke okah uh in pacl nukewa, Ac lah kac uh aksroksrokyeyuk pacl nukewa ke aunfong uh.
20 My glory [was] fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand.
Mwet nukewa tiana tui in kaksakinyu, Ac ku luk aksasuyeyuk pacl e nukewa.
21 Unto me [men] gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.
Pacl nga sang kas in luti uh, mwet uh ac misla Ac lohma in lohng ma nga fahk uh;
22 After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them.
Na ke safla sramsram luk uh, wanginna ma elos ac ku in sifilpa fahk. Kas luk ac tili nu in elos oana tulin af nu fin fohk pao;
23 And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide [as] for the latter rain.

24 [If] I laughed on them, they believed [it] not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.
Nga israsr srisrik nu selos ke pacl wanginla finsrak lalos; Ac ngetnget kulang luk akkeyalos.
25 I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one [that] comforteth the mourners.
