Jeremiah 11
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
Ang pulong nga midangat kang Jeremias gikan kang Jehova, nagaingon:
2 Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
Pamati kamo sa mga pulong niining tugon, ug isulti sa mga tawo sa Juda, ug sa mga pumoluyo sa Jerusalem.
3 And say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Cursed [be] the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant,
Ug umingon ka kanila: Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova, ang Dios sa Israel: Tinunglo kadtong tawo nga wala magapatalinghug sa mga pulong niining tugon,
4 Which I commanded your fathers in the day [that] I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:
Nga akong gisugo sa inyong mga amahan sa adlaw sa akong pagdala sa kanila gikan sa yuta sa Egipto, gikan sa hasohasan nga puthaw, sa pag-ingon: Tahura ninyo ang akong tingog, ug buhata sila, sumala sa tanang gisugo ko kaninyo; aron kamo mahimong akong katawohan, ug ako mahimo nga inyong Dios;
5 That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as [it is] this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD.
Aron mapalig-on ko ang akong panumpa nga gipanumpa ko sa inyong mga amahan, sa paghatag kanila ug usa yuta nga nagapaagay sa gatas ug dugos, ingon niining adlawa. Unya ako mitubag, ug miingon: Amen, Oh Jehova.
6 Then the LORD said unto me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear ye the words of this covenant, and do them.
Ug si Jehova miingon kanako: Isangyaw kining tanan nga mga pulong ngadto sa mga ciudad sa Juda, ug sa kadalanan sa Jerusalem, sa pag-ingon: Pamati kamo sa mga pulong niining tugon, ug buhaton ninyo sila.
7 For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day [that] I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, [even] unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.
Kay ako sa mainiton gayud nagpamatuod batok sa inyong mga amahan sa adlaw sa akong pagdala kanila gikan sa yuta sa Egipto, bisan hangtud niining adlawa, mibangon pagsayo, ug nagpamatuod, sa pag-ingon: Managtuman kamo sa akong tingog.
8 Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded [them] to do; but they did [them] not.
Ugaling sila wala managtuman, ni mopakiling sa ilang mga igdulungog, apan ang tagsatagsa nagasunod sa kagahi sa dautan nilang kasingkasing; busa gidala ko sa ibabaw nila ang tanang pulong niining tugon, nga akong gisugo kanila aron pagabuhaton; apan kini wala nila buhata.
9 And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
Ug si Jehova miingon kanako: Ang usa ka pagsabut-sabut sa pag-alsa hikaplagan diha sa taliwala sa mga tawo sa Juda, ug sa taliwala sa mga pumoluyo sa Jerusalem.
10 They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.
Sila mingbalik sa mga kasal-anan sa ilang mga amahan, nga mingdumili sa pagpamati sa akong mga pulong; ug sila mingsunod sa laing mga dios aron sa pag-alagad kanila: ang balay sa Israel ug ang balay sa Juda nanaglapas sa akong tugon nga gibuhat ko uban sa ilang mga amahan.
11 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.
Busa mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Ania karon, ako magapadala ug kadautan sa ibabaw nila, nga dili arang nila malikayan; ug sila managtu-aw kanako, apan ako dili magpatalinghug kanila.
12 Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.
Unya ang mga ciudad sa Juda ug ang mga pumoluyo sa Jerusalem mangadto, ug managtu-aw sa mga dios nga ilang gihalaran ug incienso: apan sila dili gayud magaluwas kanila sa panahon sa ilang kasamok.
13 For [according to] the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and [according to] the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to [that] shameful thing, [even] altars to burn incense unto Baal.
Kay sumala sa gidaghanon sa inyong mga ciudad mao usab ang gidaghanon sa inyong mga dios, Oh Juda; ug sumala sa gidaghanon sa mga dalan sa Jerusalem inyong gitukod ang mga halaran nianang maka-uulaw nga butang, bisan ngani ang mga halaran nga pagasunogan ug incienso alang kang Baal.
14 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear [them] in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.
Busa ayaw pag-ampo alang niini nga katawohan, ni magpatugbaw ka sa pag-ampo alang kanila; kay ako dili magpatalinghug kanila sa panahon nga sila motu-aw kanako tungod sa ilang kasamok.
15 What hath my beloved to do in mine house, [seeing] she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.
Unsay labut sa akong hinigugma sulod sa akong balay, sanglit siya naghimo ug kangil-aran uban sa kadaghanan, ug ang balaan nga unod migula gikan kanimo? sa paghimo mo ug kadautan, nan ikaw nalipay.
16 The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, [and] of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.
Si Jehova nagtawag sa imong ngalan: Usa ka lunhawng kahoy nga olivo, maanindot nga may maayong bunga: uban ang kasaba sa dagkung kasamok kini iyang giduslitan sa kalayo, ug ang mga sanga niini nangabanggi.
17 For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.
Kay si Jehova sa mga panon, nga nagtanum kanimo, nagpakanaug ug silot sa kadautan batok kanimo, tungod sa kadautan sa balay sa Israel ug sa balay sa Juda, nga ilang gihimo sa ilang kaugalingon sa paghagit kanako sa kasuko pinaagi sa paghalad nila ug incienso kang Baal.
18 And the LORD hath given me knowledge [of it], and I know [it: ] then thou shewedst me their doings.
Ug si Jehova naghatag kanako sa kasayuran mahitungod kaniya, ug ako nasayud niini: unya ikaw nagpakita kanako sa ilang mga buhat.
19 But I [was] like a lamb [or] an ox [that] is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, [saying], Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.
Apan ako sama sa usa ka maaghup nga nating carnero nga gidala ngadto sa ihawan; ug ako wala masayud nga sila may gilalang batok kanako, nga nagaingon: Atong laglagon ang kahoy uban ang bunga niini, ug putlon ta siya gikan sa yuta sa mga buhi, aron ang iyang ngalan dili na hinumduman.
20 But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.
Apan, Oh Jehova sa mga panon, nga nagahukom sa pagkamatarung, nga nagasulay sa kasingkasing ug sa hunahuna, ako makakita saimong pagpanimalus kanila; kay kanimo gipaila ko ang akong katungod.
21 Therefore thus saith the LORD of the men of Anathoth, that seek thy life, saying, Prophesy not in the name of the LORD, that thou die not by our hand:
Busa mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova mahatungod sa mga tawo sa Anathoth, nga nagapangita sa imong kinabuhi, nga nagaingon: dili ka managna sa ngalan ni Jehova, aron dili ikaw mamatay pinaagi sa among kamot;
22 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine:
Busa mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova sa mga panon: Ania karon, silotan ko sila: ang mga batan-ong lalake mangamatay pinaagi sa espada; ang ilang mga anak nga lalake ug mga anak nga babaye mangamatay pinaagi sa gutom;
23 And there shall be no remnant of them: for I will bring evil upon the men of Anathoth, [even] the year of their visitation.
Ug walay mahibilin kanila: kay ako magapadala ug kadautan sa mga tawo sa Anathoth, bisan ngani sa tuig sa pagdu-aw kanila.
