Isaiah 3
1 For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,
Porque, eis que o Senhor Deus dos Exercitos tirará de Jerusalem e de Judah o bordão e o cajado: a todo o sustento de pão, e a toda a borda d'agua;
2 The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,
Ao valente, e ao soldado, ao juiz, e ao propheta, e ao adivinho, e ao ancião,
3 The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.
Ao capitão de cincoenta, e ao respeitavel, e ao conselheiro, e ao sabio entre os artifices, e ao eloquente.
4 And I will give children [to be] their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
E dar-lhes-hei mancebos por principes, e creanças dominarão sobre elles.
5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.
E o povo será opprimido; um será contra o outro, e cada um contra o seu proximo: o menino se atreverá contra o ancião, e o vil contra o nobre.
6 When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, [saying], Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and [let] this ruin [be] under thy hand:
Quando algum travar de seu irmão da casa de seu pae, dizendo: Capa tens, sê nosso principe, e toma sob a tua mão esta ruina;
7 In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house [is] neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.
Então levantará a sua voz n'aquelle dia, dizendo: Não posso ser medico, nem tão pouco ha em minha casa pão, nem vestido algum: não me ponhaes por principe do povo.
8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings [are] against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
Porque tropeçou Jerusalem, e Judah é caido; porquanto a sua lingua e as suas obras são contra o Senhor, para irritarem os olhos da sua gloria.
9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide [it] not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
A apparencia das suas faces testifica contra elles; e publicam os seus peccados como Sodoma; não os dissimulam: ai da sua alma! porque se fazem mal a si mesmos.
10 Say ye to the righteous, that [it shall be] well [with him: ] for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
Dizem ao justo que bem lhe irá; que comerão do fructo das suas obras.
11 Woe unto the wicked! [it shall be] ill [with him: ] for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
Ai do impio! mal lhe irá: porque o galardão das suas mãos se lhe dará.
12 [As for] my people, children [are] their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause [thee] to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
Os exactores do meu povo são creanças, e mulheres dominam sobre elle: ah, povo meu! os que te guiam te enganam, e devoram o caminho das tuas veredas.
13 The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.
O Senhor se apresenta a pleitear, e se põe a julgar os povos.
14 The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor [is] in your houses.
O Senhor vem em juizo contra os anciãos do seu povo, e contra os seus principes; porque vós consumistes esta vinha, o despojo do afflicto está em vossas casas.
15 What mean ye [that] ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
Que tendes vós, que atropellaes o meu povo e moeis as faces dos afflictos? diz o Senhor, o Deus dos Exercitos.
16 Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing [as] they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:
Diz ainda mais o Senhor: Porquanto as filhas de Sião se exalçam, e andam com o pescoço emproado, fazendo acenos com os olhos, e, indo andando, andam como dançando, e cascavelando com os pés
17 Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.
Portanto o Senhor fará calva a mioleira das filhas de Sião, e o Senhor descobrirá as suas vergonhas.
18 In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of [their] tinkling ornaments [about their feet], and [their] cauls, and [their] round tires like the moon,
N'aquelle dia tirará o Senhor o enfeite das ligas, e as redezinhas, e as luetas,
19 The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,
Os pendentes, e as manilhas, e os vestidos resplandecentes,
20 The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,
Os diademas, e os enfeites dos braços, e os cendaes, e as bocetas cheirosas, e as arrecadas,
21 The rings, and nose jewels,
Os anneis, e as joias pendentes do nariz,
22 The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,
Os vestidos de festa, e os mantos, e as coifas, e os alfinetes,
23 The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.
Os espelhos, e as capinhas de linho finissimas, e as toucas, e os véus.
24 And it shall come to pass, [that] instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; [and] burning instead of beauty.
E será que em logar de cheiro suave haverá fedor; e por cinto uma corda; e em logar d'encrespadura de cabellos, calva; e em logar de veste larga, cingimento de sacco; e queimadura em logar de formosura.
25 Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.
Teus varões cairão á espada, e teus valentes na peleja.
26 And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she [being] desolate shall sit upon the ground.
E as suas portas gemerão e prantearão; e ella, ficando desolada, se assentará no chão.
