Isaiah 25

1 O LORD, thou [art] my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful [things; thy] counsels of old [are] faithfulness [and] truth.

۱ ای یهوه تو خدای من هستی پس تو راتسبیح می‌خوانم و نام تو را حمدمی گویم، زیرا کارهای عجیب کرده‌ای وتقدیرهای قدیم تو امانت و راستی است.

2 For thou hast made of a city an heap; [of] a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.

۲ چونکه شهری را توده و قریه حصین را خرابه گردانیده‌ای و قصر غریبان را که شهر نباشد و هرگز بنا نگردد.

3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.

۳ بنابراین قوم عظیم، تو را تمجید می‌نمایند وقریه امت های ستم پیشه از تو خواهند ترسید.

4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones [is] as a storm [against] the wall.

۴ چونکه برای فقیران قلعه و به جهت مسکینان درحین تنگی ایشان قلعه بودی و ملجا از طوفان وسایه از گرمی، هنگامی که نفخه ستمکاران مثل طوفان بر دیوار می‌بود.

5 Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; [even] the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.

۵ و غوغای غریبان را مثل گرمی در جای خشک فرود خواهی آورد و سرودستمکاران مثل گرمی از سایه ابر پست خواهدشد.

6 And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

۶ و یهوه صبایوت در این کوه برای همه قوم هاضیافتی از لذایذ برپا خواهد نمود. یعنی ضیافتی از شرابهای کهنه از لذایذ پر مغز و از شرابهای کهنه مصفا.

7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.

۷ و در این کوه روپوشی را که برتمامی قوم‌ها گسترده است و ستری را که جمیع امت‌ها را می‌پوشاند تلف خواهد کرد.

8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken [it].

۸ و موت را تا ابدالاباد نابود خواهد ساخت و خداوند یهوه اشکها را از هر‌چهره پاک خواهد نمود و عار قوم خویش را از روی تمامی زمین رفع خواهد کردزیرا خداوند گفته است.

9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this [is] our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this [is] the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

۹ و در آن روز خواهند گفت: «اینک این خدای ما است که منتظر او بوده‌ایم و ما را نجات خواهدداد. این خداوند است که منتظر او بوده‌ایم پس از نجات او مسرور و شادمان خواهیم شد.»

10 For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.

۱۰ زیراکه دست خداوند بر این کوه قرار خواهد گرفت وموآب در مکان خود پایمال خواهد شد چنانکه کاه در آب مزبله پایمال می‌شود.

11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth [his hands] to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.

۱۱ و او دستهای خود را در میان آن خواهد گشاد مثل شناوری که به جهت شنا کردن دستهای خود را می‌گشاید وغرور او را با حیله های دستهایش پست خواهدگردانید.

12 And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, [and] bring to the ground, [even] to the dust.

۱۲ و قلعه بلند حصارهایت را خم کرده، بزیر خواهد افکند و بر زمین با غبار یکسان خواهد ساخت.
