Ezra 7
1 Now after these things, in the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Ezra the son of Seraiah, the son of Azariah, the son of Hilkiah,
Pasadas estas cosas, en el reino de Artaxerxes rey de Persia, Ésdras, hijo de Saraías, hijo de Azarías, hijo de Helcías,
2 The son of Shallum, the son of Zadok, the son of Ahitub,
Hijo de Sellum, hijo de Sadoc, hijo de Aquitob,
3 The son of Amariah, the son of Azariah, the son of Meraioth,
Hijo de Amarías, hijo de Azarías, hijo de Maraiot,
4 The son of Zerahiah, the son of Uzzi, the son of Bukki,
Hijo de Zaraías, hijo de Ozi, hijo de Bocci,
5 The son of Abishua, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the chief priest:
Hijo de Abisué, hijo de Finees, hijo de Eleazar, hijo de Aarón primer sacerdote:
6 This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he [was] a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him.
Este Ésdras subió de Babilonia, el cual era escriba diligente en la ley de Moisés, que dio Jehová Dios de Israel: y concedióle el rey según la mano de Jehová su Dios sobre él, todo lo que pidió.
7 And there went up [some] of the children of Israel, and of the priests, and the Levites, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, unto Jerusalem, in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king.
Y subieron con él de los hijos de Israel, y de los sacerdotes, y Levitas, y cantores, y porteros, y Natineos, en Jerusalem, en el séptimo año del rey Artaxerxes.
8 And he came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which [was] in the seventh year of the king.
Y vino a Jerusalem en el mes quinto, el año séptimo del rey.
9 For upon the first [day] of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first [day] of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.
Porque al primero del mes primero fue el principio de la partida de Babilonia, y al primero del mes quinto llegó a Jerusalem, según que era buena la mano de su Dios sobre él.
10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do [it], and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.
Porque Ésdras preparó su corazón a buscar la ley de Jehová, y a hacer, y a enseñar a Israel mandamientos y juicios.
11 Now this [is] the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest, the scribe, [even] a scribe of the words of the commandments of the LORD, and of his statutes to Israel.
Y este es el traslado de la carta que dio el rey Artaxerxes a Ésdras sacerdote escriba, escriba de las palabras mandadas de Jehová, y de sus estatutos sobre Israel:
12 Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect [peace], and at such a time.
Artaxerxes, rey de los reyes, a Ésdras sacerdote, escriba perfecto de la ley del Dios del cielo, y a Cheenet.
13 I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and [of] his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee.
Por mí es dado mandamiento, que cualquiera que quisiere en mi reino del pueblo de Israel, y de sus sacerdotes y Levitas, ir contigo a Jerusalem, vaya.
14 Forasmuch as thou art sent of the king, and of his seven counsellors, to enquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which [is] in thine hand;
Porque de parte del rey y de sus siete consultores eres enviado para visitar a Judea y a Jerusalem, conforme a la ley de tu Dios que está en tu mano;
15 And to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counsellors have freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation [is] in Jerusalem,
Y para llevar la plata y el oro que el rey, y sus consultores voluntariamente ofrecen al Dios de Israel, cuya morada está en Jerusalem;
16 And all the silver and gold that thou canst find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which [is] in Jerusalem:
Y toda la plata y el oro que hallares en toda la provincia de Babilonia, con las ofrendas voluntarias del pueblo, y de los sacerdotes, que de su voluntad ofrecieren para la casa de su Dios que está en Jerusalem.
17 That thou mayest buy speedily with this money bullocks, rams, lambs, with their meat offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which [is] in Jerusalem.
Por tanto con diligencia comprarás de esta plata becerros, carneros, corderos, y sus presentes, y sus derramaduras, y ofrecerlos has sobre el altar de la casa de vuestro Dios que está en Jerusalem.
18 And whatsoever shall seem good to thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, that do after the will of your God.
Y lo que a ti y a tus hermanos pluguiere hacer de la otra plata y oro, conforme a la voluntad de vuestro Dios, haréis.
19 The vessels also that are given thee for the service of the house of thy God, [those] deliver thou before the God of Jerusalem.
Y los vasos que te son entregados para el servicio de la casa de tu Dios, restituirlos has delante de Dios en Jerusalem.
20 And whatsoever more shall be needful for the house of thy God, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow, bestow [it] out of the king’s treasure house.
Y lo demás que fuere necesario para la casa de tu Dios, que te fuere menester dar, darlo has de la casa de los tesoros del rey.
21 And I, [even] I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which [are] beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,
Y por mí, el rey Artaxerxes, es dado mandamiento a todos los tesoreros que están de la otra parte del río, que todo lo que os demandare Ésdras sacerdote, escriba de la ley del Dios del cielo, sea hecho luego,
22 Unto an hundred talents of silver, and to an hundred measures of wheat, and to an hundred baths of wine, and to an hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing [how much].
Hasta cien talentos de plata, y hasta cien coros de trigo, y hasta cien batos de vino, y hasta cien batos de aceite, y sal, cuanto no se escribe.
23 Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?
Todo lo que es mandado por el Dios del cielo, sea hecho prestamente para la casa del Dios del cielo: porque, ¿por qué será su ira contra el reino del rey y de sus hijos?
24 Also we certify you, that touching any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon them.
Y a vosotros os hacemos saber, que a todos los sacerdotes, y Levitas, cantores, porteros, Natineos, y ministros de la casa de este Dios, ninguno pueda echar sobre ellos tributo, o pecho, o renta.
25 And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that [is] in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that [are] beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know [them] not.
Y tú Ésdras conforme a la sabiduría de tu Dios que tienes, pon por jueces y gobernadores que gobiernen todo el pueblo que está de la otra parte del río, a todos los que tienen noticia de las leyes de tu Dios, y al que no la tuviere, enseñarle heis.
26 And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether [it be] unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.
Y cualquiera que no hiciere la ley de tu Dios, y la ley del rey, prestamente sea juzgado, o a muerte, o a desarraigamiento, o a pena de la hacienda, o a prisión.
27 Blessed [be] the LORD God of our fathers, which hath put [such a thing] as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which [is] in Jerusalem:
Bendito sea Jehová Dios de nuestros padres, que puso tal cosa en el corazón del rey, para honrar la casa de Jehová que está en Jerusalem;
28 And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king’s mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God [was] upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.
Y sobre mí inclinó misericordia delante del rey, y de sus consultores, y de todos los príncipes poderosos del rey. Y yo confortado según que la mano de mi Dios era sobre mí, junté los principales de Israel para que subiesen conmigo.
