1 Thessalonians 2
1 For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:
ஹே ப்⁴ராதர: , யுஷ்மந்மத்⁴யே (அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரவேஸோ² நிஷ்ப²லோ ந ஜாத இதி யூயம்’ ஸ்வயம்’ ஜாநீத²|
2 But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.
அபரம்’ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்யதா²ஸ்²ராவி ததா² பூர்வ்வம்’ பி²லிபீநக³ரே க்லிஷ்டா நிந்தி³தாஸ்²ச ஸந்தோ(அ)பி வயம் ஈஸ்²வராத்³ உத்ஸாஹம்’ லப்³த்⁴வா ப³ஹுயத்நேந யுஷ்மாந் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம் அபோ³த⁴யாம|
3 For our exhortation [was] not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:
யதோ(அ)ஸ்மாகம் ஆதே³ஸோ² ப்⁴ராந்தேரஸு²சிபா⁴வாத்³ வோத்பந்ந: ப்ரவஞ்சநாயுக்தோ வா ந ப⁴வதி|
4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரேணாஸ்மாந் பரீக்ஷ்ய விஸ்²வஸநீயாந் மத்த்வா ச யத்³வத் ஸுஸம்’வாதோ³(அ)ஸ்மாஸு ஸமார்ப்யத தத்³வத்³ வயம்’ மாநவேப்⁴யோ ந ருரோசிஷமாணா: கிந்த்வஸ்மத³ந்த: கரணாநாம்’ பரீக்ஷகாயேஸ்²வராய ருரோசிஷமாணா பா⁴ஷாமஹே|
5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God [is] witness:
வயம்’ கதா³பி ஸ்துதிவாதி³நோ நாப⁴வாமேதி யூயம்’ ஜாநீத² கதா³பி ச²லவஸ்த்ரேண லோப⁴ம்’ நாச்சா²த³யாமேத்யஸ்மிந் ஈஸ்²வர: ஸாக்ஷீ வித்³யதே|
6 Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor [yet] of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.
வயம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ப்ரேரிதா இவ கௌ³ரவாந்விதா ப⁴விதும் அஸ²க்ஷ்யாம கிந்து யுஷ்மத்த: பரஸ்மாத்³ வா கஸ்மாத³பி மாநவாத்³ கௌ³ரவம்’ ந லிப்ஸமாநா யுஷ்மந்மத்⁴யே ம்ரு’து³பா⁴வா பூ⁴த்வாவர்த்தாமஹி|
7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:
யதா² காசிந்மாதா ஸ்வகீயஸி²ஸூ²ந் பாலயதி ததா² வயமபி யுஷ்மாந் காங்க்ஷமாணா
8 So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.
யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ கேவலம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம்’ தந்நஹி கிந்து ஸ்வகீயப்ராணாந் அபி தா³தும்’ மநோபி⁴ரப்⁴யலஷாம, யதோ யூயம் அஸ்மாகம்’ ஸ்நேஹபாத்ராண்யப⁴வத|
9 For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
ஹே ப்⁴ராதர: , அஸ்மாகம்’ ஸ்²ரம: க்லேஸ²ஸ்²ச யுஷ்மாபி⁴: ஸ்மர்ய்யதே யுஷ்மாகம்’ கோ(அ)பி யத்³ பா⁴ரக்³ரஸ்தோ ந ப⁴வேத் தத³ர்த²ம்’ வயம்’ தி³வாநிஸ²ம்’ பரிஸ்²ராம்யந்தோ யுஷ்மந்மத்⁴ய ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸுஸம்’வாத³மகோ⁴ஷயாம|
10 Ye [are] witnesses, and God [also], how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:
அபரஞ்ச விஸ்²வாஸிநோ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி வயம்’ கீத்³ரு’க் பவித்ரத்வயதா²ர்த²த்வநிர்தோ³ஷத்வாசாரிணோ(அ)ப⁴வாமேத்யஸ்மிந் ஈஸ்²வரோ யூயஞ்ச ஸாக்ஷிண ஆத்⁴வே|
11 As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father [doth] his children,
அபரஞ்ச யத்³வத் பிதா ஸ்வபா³லகாந் தத்³வத்³ வயம்’ யுஷ்மாகம் ஏகைகம்’ ஜநம் உபதி³ஷ்டவந்த: ஸாந்த்விதவந்தஸ்²ச,
12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.
ய ஈஸ்²வர: ஸ்வீயராஜ்யாய விப⁴வாய ச யுஷ்மாந் ஆஹூதவாந் தது³பயுக்தாசரணாய யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரவர்த்திதவந்தஸ்²சேதி யூயம்’ ஜாநீத²|
13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received [it] not [as] the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
யஸ்மிந் ஸமயே யூயம் அஸ்மாகம்’ முகா²த்³ ஈஸ்²வரேண ப்ரதிஸ்²ருதம்’ வாக்யம் அலப⁴த்⁴வம்’ தஸ்மிந் ஸமயே தத் மாநுஷாணாம்’ வாக்யம்’ ந மத்த்வேஸ்²வரஸ்ய வாக்யம்’ மத்த்வா க்³ரு’ஹீதவந்த இதி காரணாத்³ வயம்’ நிரந்தரம் ஈஸ்²வரம்’ த⁴ந்யம்’ வதா³ம: , யதஸ்தத்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய வாக்யம் இதி ஸத்யம்’ விஸ்²வாஸிநாம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யே தஸ்ய கு³ண: ப்ரகாஸ²தே ச|
14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they [have] of the Jews:
ஹே ப்⁴ராதர: , க்²ரீஷ்டாஸ்²ரிதவத்ய ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய யா: ஸமித்யோ யிஹூதா³தே³ஸே² ஸந்தி யூயம்’ தாஸாம் அநுகாரிணோ(அ)ப⁴வத, தத்³பு⁴க்தா லோகாஸ்²ச யத்³வத்³ யிஹூதி³லோகேப்⁴யஸ்தத்³வத்³ யூயமபி ஸ்வஜாதீயலோகேப்⁴யோ து³: க²ம் அலப⁴த்⁴வம்’|
15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:
தே யிஹூதீ³யா: ப்ரபு⁴ம்’ யீஸு²ம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நஸ்²ச ஹதவந்தோ (அ)ஸ்மாந் தூ³ரீக்ரு’தவந்தஸ்²ச, த ஈஸ்²வராய ந ரோசந்தே ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ மாநவாநாம்’ விபக்ஷா ப⁴வந்தி ச;
16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
அபரம்’ பி⁴ந்நஜாதீயலோகாநாம்’ பரித்ராணார்த²ம்’ தேஷாம்’ மத்⁴யே ஸுஸம்’வாத³கோ⁴ஷணாத்³ அஸ்மாந் ப்ரதிஷேத⁴ந்தி சேத்த²ம்’ ஸ்வீயபாபாநாம்’ பரிமாணம் உத்தரோத்தரம்’ பூரயந்தி, கிந்து தேஷாம் அந்தகாரீ க்ரோத⁴ஸ்தாந் உபக்ரமதே|
17 But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.
ஹே ப்⁴ராதர: மநஸா நஹி கிந்து வத³நேந கியத்காலம்’ யுஷ்மத்தோ (அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ விச்சே²தே³ ஜாதே வயம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ முகா²நி த்³ரஷ்டும் அத்யாகாங்க்ஷயா ப³ஹு யதிதவந்த: |
18 Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
த்³விரேகக்ரு’த்வோ வா யுஷ்மத்ஸமீபக³மநாயாஸ்மாகம்’ விஸே²ஷத: பௌலஸ்ய மமாபி⁴லாஷோ(அ)ப⁴வத் கிந்து ஸ²யதாநோ (அ)ஸ்மாந் நிவாரிதவாந்|
19 For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? [Are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
யதோ(அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ கா ப்ரத்யாஸா² கோ வாநந்த³: கிம்’ வா ஸ்²லாக்⁴யகிரீடம்’? அஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்யாக³மநகாலே தத்ஸம்முக²ஸ்தா² யூயம்’ கிம்’ தந்ந ப⁴விஷ்யத²?
20 For ye are our glory and joy.
யூயம் ஏவாஸ்மாகம்’ கௌ³ரவாநந்த³ஸ்வரூபா ப⁴வத²|
