< 1 Thessalonians 2 >

1 For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:
Toronoo nggare! Basa hei bubꞌuluꞌ, leleꞌ hai mii tao ues fee Lamatualain sia Tesalonika, hai nda nggari hendi mbusa titi mara hie-hieꞌ a sa.
2 But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.
Hei o misinedꞌa, leleꞌ hai nda feꞌe misiꞌ Tesalonika sa, atahori sia kota Filipi ra tao raꞌasususaꞌ ma doidꞌoso hai ena. Te Lamatualain tao manggatete hai rala mara, de mimbirani mifadꞌe Lamatuaꞌ Dudꞌui Malolen neu nggi, mae atahori naeꞌ musu hai.
3 For our exhortation [was] not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:
Leleꞌ naa, hai mendi Dudꞌui Maloleꞌ naa fee hei sia Tesalonika, nda mendi nenoriꞌ mana tao leliꞌ sa. Hai nda meti tao minggonggoa do peko-lelekoꞌ hei sa.
4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
Hokoꞌ! Faiꞌ naa hai meti mo rala ndos. Lamatulain mana dudꞌu hai, fo mendi Dudꞌui Malolen fee neu nggi. Hai nda mae tao mimihoꞌo atahori rala nara sa, te mae tao mimihoꞌo Lamatualain, huu Eni mana timba-tai hai rala mara nae, ndos do hokoꞌ.
5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God [is] witness:
Hei o mihine mae, hai nda maa-mina sa, seluꞌ fai mae sangga hahambuꞌ sen esa-rua mia hei e. Lamatualain o bubꞌuluꞌ hai rala mara.
6 Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor [yet] of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.
Hai o ue-tao nda mae sangga nara kokoaꞌ mia atahori, mia hei do mia atahori feaꞌ sa.
7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:
Hai ia ra Kristus dedenun. De hai o miꞌena hak onaꞌ malangga-malangga ra, te hai nda nau soꞌu botiꞌ ao mara taꞌo naa sa. Leleꞌ naa hai tao ao mara onaꞌ anadikiꞌ sia taladꞌa mara. Hai o mitudꞌu susueꞌ neu nggi, onaꞌ mama sa nasusu anan.
8 So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.
Hai nda mendiꞌ a Dudꞌui Maloleꞌ fee hei sa, te hai o fee ao mara teme-teme huu hai sue miseliꞌ nggi.
9 For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
Toronoo nggare! Hei feꞌe misinedꞌa, hai o tao ues mitaꞌ mamate mara hatuꞌ-rerelon, fo bisa tanggon hai masodꞌa mara. Leleꞌ hai mendi Dudꞌui Maloleꞌ a fee hei, hai nda nau tao misimbute nggi sa.
10 Ye [are] witnesses, and God [also], how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:
Basa hei mita ao mara, ma Lamatulain boe oi, leleꞌ hai miꞌibꞌue mo hei mana mamahereꞌ sia naa, hai misodꞌa no rala meuꞌ, leo-lao tungga dala ndos, ma nda tao salaꞌ saa sa boe.
11 As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father [doth] his children,
Hei bubꞌuluꞌ hai tao mataꞌ neu nggi, onaꞌ ama bonggiꞌ tao mataꞌ neu ana nara.
12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.
Hai tao manggatee rala mara, fee nggi nesenenedꞌaꞌ, ma kokoe nggi fo misodꞌa mindaa-mitetu, fo tao nemehoꞌo Lamatualain ralan. Te Eni mana dadꞌi maneꞌ. Ana noꞌe nala hei fo masoꞌ dadꞌi bobꞌonggin, ma hambu hadꞌa-hormat mo E.
13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received [it] not [as] the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
Hai moꞌe makasi nda namaetuꞌ sa neu Lamatualain, huu leleꞌ hei rena Dudꞌui Maloleꞌ naa mia hai, hei rena Lamatualain dedꞌea-oꞌolan, te nda atahori raefafo dedꞌea-oꞌola nara sa. Huu Lamatualain ue-tao sia hei mana mamahereꞌ ra rala mara.
14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they [have] of the Jews:
Toronoo nggare! Hei feꞌe mae tungga Lamatualain dalan, te atahori nusa isi mara tao raꞌasususaꞌ nggi ena. No taꞌo naa, basa hei o mimedꞌa sususaꞌ onaꞌ atahori mamahereꞌ sia propinsi Yudea ra, fo mana hambu sususaꞌ mia sira atahori Yahudi nara, huu ramahere Yesus Kristus.
15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:
Hambu atahori Yahudi ruma nda tao afiꞌ neu Lamatualain hihiin sa. Naa de, leleꞌ Lamatualain haitua mana ola-ola nara neu se, ara tao doidꞌoso ma risa mana ola-olaꞌ naa ra. Ara o tao risa Lamatuaꞌ Yesus onaꞌ naa boe. Ia naa ara sangga-sangga dalaꞌ fo rae mbuu hendi hai fai. Ara bamusuꞌ ro basa atahori, de Lamatualain nda hii se sa.
16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
Lenaꞌ fali ara ai-bꞌaa mataꞌ-mataꞌ, naa fo hai afiꞌ mendi Lamatulain Dudꞌui Malolen fee nusa feaꞌ ra. Atahori Yahudi naa ra nda nau Lamatualain fee masodꞌaꞌ neu atahori feaꞌ ra sa. No taꞌo naa, ara boe tao salaꞌ raꞌaunuꞌ. Naa de, Lamatulain namanasa, de hukun se.
17 But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.
Toronoo nggare! Mae oras ia, nau do nda nau sa o hita leo taꞌadooꞌ, te naa dooꞌ siaꞌ a mata memeteꞌ, nda dooꞌ sia rala tara sa. Hai sangga-sangga dalaꞌ, fo ona bee na, hai meti seꞌu seluꞌ nggi, huu hai o maeꞌ a do bee fo mindaa mo nggi ena.
18 Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
Au o sobꞌa usufafali ae eti ita nggi, te nitu malangga monaeꞌ a akaꞌ babꞌa au nakandondooꞌ a.
19 For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? [Are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
Hei bubꞌuluꞌ, taꞌo b e de hai mae meti mita hei? Naa, huu hai mimihena nggi. Hei mana tao maꞌahee ma neꞌemoko hai rala mara. Te se fai mana toꞌu nehereꞌ Lamatuaꞌ Yesus naran? Akaꞌ a hei! Mete ma Lamatuaꞌ nema nasafali na, hai botiꞌ mala mata mara huu hei.
20 For ye are our glory and joy.
Memaꞌ tebꞌe! hei mana tao hai rala mara raꞌamoko ma ramahoꞌo.
