< 1 Thessalonians 2 >

1 For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:
Koeinaakhqi, nangmih a venawh ka mi law ce a hoeina am awm hy tice sim uhyk ti.
2 But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.
Nami sim hawh amyihna, lamma na Filipi khaw awh ni the ni kha na unawh kyinaak hu unyng, cehlai Khawsa ak pyinaak caming nangmih a venawh awithang leek kqawn law thai unyng.
3 For our exhortation [was] not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:
Nangmih a venawh qeennaak ka mi thoeh law ce amak thym kawpoek amak ciim ing am sai law unyng, ka ni thainaak khqi aham ka mi ngaih a dawngawh awm amni.
4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
Khawsa ing awithang leek khoem sak nawh ak dyihpyi thlangkhqi nani ka mi awm. Thlanghqing zeelnaak am sui unyng saw, kawlung ak qymkung Khawsa ak kawngaih sai aham ni ka mingcai hy.
5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God [is] witness:
Ityk awh awm oekqu doena awi ap kqawn khawi unyng, ak pyh ngaihnaak dah aham awm ap kqawn unyng - Khawsa ing ni sim khqi hy.
6 Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor [yet] of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.
Thlanghqingkhqi am kyihcahnaak am sui unyng, nangmih am kyihcahnaak awm am sui unyng, u a kyihcahnaak awm am sui unyng. Khrih a ceityih na ka mi awm a dawngawh nangmih aham phyihqihna awm, awm thai hlai unyng,
7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:
anu ing a cakhqi a cuun amyihna nangmih a venawh kawdung thlang na awm unyng.
8 So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.
Nangmih ka ni lung naak khqi soeih a dawngawh Khawsak awithang leek zeel doena ka mik kqawn doeng kaana ka mi hqingnaak awm ni pek khqi unyng, ka ni thin tlawhnaak khqi a dawngawh,
9 For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
Koeinaakhqi kaimih a kyinaak ingkaw khuikhanaak ning zaak sim pyi uhyk ti, nangmih a venawh Khawsak awithang leek ka mik kqawn huili awh u awm phyihqih peek aham am kami ngaih a dawngawh than dai bibi unyng.
10 Ye [are] witnesses, and God [also], how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:
Nangmih amik cangnaak thlangkhqi venawh ak ciim ingkaw ak dyng caana ka mi awm ce nangmih ing ni sim u tiksaw Khawsa ingawm sim hy.
11 As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father [doth] his children,
Pa ing a cakhqi a hloep amyihna nangmih kani hloep khqi ce sim uhyk ti,
12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.
tha ni pek khqi nyng, ngaihqepnaak awi kqawn law unyng, a qam ingkaw a boeimangnaak ak khuiawh nangmih anik khykung Khawsa mik cuuk hatlaak na khawsak aham awi kqawn law unyng.
13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received [it] not [as] the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
Kaimih a ven awhkawng na ming zaak Khawsak awi ce nami do awh, thlang ak awi zap amyihna am do u tiksaw Khawsak awi qoe qoe na, nangmih amik cangnaak khqi a venawh bi a binaak amyihna nami do a dawngawh Khawsa venawh a boet kaana zeelawi kqawn unyng.
14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they [have] of the Jews:
Koeinaakhqi, nangmih taw Khrih awh ak awm, Judah qam awhkaw thlangboel ak oet na awm uhyk ti: cekkhqi ing a mimah Juda pyi a thekhanaak ami huh amyihna nangmih awm na mik thlang nawn a thekhanaak ce hu uhyk ti.
15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:
Judahkhqi ing Bawipa Jesu ingkaw tawnghakhqi ce him unawh kaimih awm ni hqek khqi hy, Khawsak kaw am nawm sak unawh thlang boeih a qaal na awm uhy.
16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
Gentelkhqi venawh awithang leek ap kqawn pe thai unyng saw, thaawng na a mami awm naak aham tha lo uhy.
17 But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.
Vemyihna a mimah a thawlhnaak ce a boet dyna cun uhy, cedawngawh Khawsa ak kawsonaak ce a dytnaak nataw a mingmih ak khanawh tlaak pek khqi hy.
18 Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
Nangmih a venawh law aham ngaih unyng - kai, Paul ve law aham cai bai cai bai nyng - cehlai, setan ing ni kang hy.
19 For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? [Are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
Kaimih ang ngaih-unaak, zeelnaak, ni Bawipa Jesu a law awh a haaiawh kaimih a boeimangnaak lumyk ce ikaw? Nangmih am aw?
20 For ye are our glory and joy.
Nangmih ve kaimih a boeimangnaak ingkaw zeelnaak na awm uhyk ti.
