< 1 Corinthians 11 >

1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also [am] of Christ.
Kri hnukbang kami ah ka oh baktih toengah, nangcae doeh ka hnukah bang oh.
2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered [them] to you.
Nawkamyanawk, hmuen boih ah kai nang panoek o poe moe, kang paek o ih patukhaihnawk na patawnh o poe thai pongah, kang pakoeh o.
3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman [is] the man; and the head of Christ [is] God.
Toe nongpanawk boih ih lu loe Kri ni; nongpata ih lu loe nongpa ni; Kri ih lu loe Sithaw ni, tito na panoek o han ka koehhaih oh.
4 Every man praying or prophesying, having [his] head covered, dishonoureth his head.
Lawkthuih naah maw, to tih ai boeh loe lok taphong naah maw, lu khuk nongpa loe angmah ih lu khingya ai kami ni.
5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with [her] head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
To tiah lawkthuih naah maw, to tih ai boeh loe lok taphong naah maw, lu khuk ai nongpata loe a lu khingya ai kami ah oh: lu angmuilum ah sam aah hoiah ni anghmong.
6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
Lu khuk ai nongpata loe sam to aat ngala nasoe, toe sam to aah moe, lu angmuilum ah sam aah loe nongpata maeto hanah azat thoh parai tiah poek nahaeloe, lu to khuk nasoe.
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover [his] head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
Nongpa loe Sithaw ih krang hoi lensawkhaih ah oh pongah, lu khuk han om ai, nongpata loe nongpa lensawkhaih ah ni oh.
8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
Nongpa loe nongpata thung hoiah tacawt ai, toe nongpata loe nongpa thung hoiah ni tacawt.
9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
Nongpa loe nongpata han ih sah ai, toe nongpata loe nongpa han ih ni sak.
10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on [her] head because of the angels.
To tiah oh pong khue na ai, van kaminawk pongah, nongpata loe a lu nuiah sak thaihaih tawnh, tito amtuengsak hanah, lu khuk han oh.
11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
Toe Angraeng ah, nongpata loe nongpa ai ah om thai ai, nongpa doeh nongpata ai ah loe om thai ai.
12 For as the woman [is] of the man, even so [is] the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
Nongpata loe nongpa thung hoiah tacawt baktih toengah, nongpa doeh nongpata thung hoiah ni tacawt; toe hmuennawk boih loe Sithaw khae hoiah tacawt.
13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
To pongah nongpata mah lu khuk ai ah Sithaw khaeah lawkthuih loe khet amcuk maw? Tito poek o noek ah.
14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
Sam patlung nongpa loe angmah hanah azat thoh, tito long khosakhaih dan mah panoekhaih na paek o ai maw?
15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for [her] hair is given her for a covering.
Toe sam patlung nongpata loe angmah lensawkhaih ah oh: a lu khuk han ih ni kasawk sam to anih hanah paek.
16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
Toe lok angaek han koeh kami om nahaeloe, kaicae loe to baktih khosakhaih atawk ka tawn o ai, Sithaw kricaabunawk mah doeh tawn o ai, tiah thuih han ka koeh.
17 Now in this that I declare [unto you] I praise [you] not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
Nangcae nwnto nam khueng o naah hoih kuehaih om ai, set aephaih ni oh lat, to pongah hae thuitaekhaih lok kang paek o naah, nangcae to ka pakoeh thai ai.
18 For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
Hmaloe koekah, bokhaih im ah nawnto nam khueng o naah, nangcae thungah abu ampraekhaih oh ti, tiah ka thaih; to lok loe tangtang mue, tiah ka poek.
19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
Nangcae salakah Sithaw mah tapom ih kami to amtueng thai hanah, maeto hoi maeto lok angaekhaih loe kaom han ih hmuen roe ni.
20 When ye come together therefore into one place, [this] is not to eat the Lord’s supper.
To pongah ahmuen maeto ah nawnto nam khueng o naah, Angraeng ih buhcaak hanah nam khueng o ai.
21 For in eating every one taketh before [other] his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
Duembuh na caak o naah, kami boih mah minawk pha ai naah angmah hanah buh to lak moe a caak o: kami maeto zok amthlam naah, kalah maeto loe mu paquih boeh.
22 What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise [you] not.
Caak naekhaih im na tawn o ai maw? To tih ai boeh loe Sithaw kricaabu to na patoek o moe, tidoeh tawn ai kaminawk to azat na paw o sak maw? Nangcae khaeah timaw ka thuih han? Hae hmuen pongah kang pakoeh o han maw? Kang pakoeh o thai mak ai.
23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the [same] night in which he was betrayed took bread:
Kang thuih o ih lok loe Sithaw khae hoi ka hnuk ih lok ni, Angraeng Jesu mah Anih angphat taakhaih duembangah takaw to lak;
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake [it], and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
kawnhaih lawk a thuih pacoengah, takaw to a aeh moe, Hae takaw loe nangcae han kamro ka taksa ni, La ah loe caa oh: Kai nang panoek o poe hanah hae tiah sah oh, tiah a naa.
25 After the same manner also [he took] the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me.
Takaw caak pacoengah, Anih mah boengloeng doeh lak moe, Hae loe ka thii hoiah sak ih lokmaihaih kangtha ah oh: na naek o naah, Kai nang panoek o poe hanah, hae tiah sah oh, tiah a naa.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
Hae takaw na caak o moe, hae boengloeng na naek o kruek, Anih angzoh karoek to, Angraeng duekhaih kawng taphong kami ah ni na oh o.
27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink [this] cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
To pongah mi kawbaktih doeh caak han krah ai ah hae Angraeng ih takaw hae caa moe, naek han krah ai ah hae boengloeng hae nae kami loe, Angraeng ih takpum hoi athii zae haih kami ah om tih.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of [that] bread, and drink of [that] cup.
To pongah mi kawbaktih doeh angmah hoi angmah angcaek pacoengah, to takaw to caa nasoe loe, boengloeng to nae nasoe.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.
Kamcuk ai ah caa moe, nae kami loe, Angraeng ih takpum panoekhaih tawn ai pongah, angmah hoi angmah lokcaek han ih ni a caak moe, a naek.
30 For this cause many [are] weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
To tiah oh pongah ni nangcae salakah kaom paroeai kaminawk nuiah thazokhaih hoi ngannathaih to oh moe, pop parai kaminawk to duek o.
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
Aimacae hoi aimacae kahoihah angcaek o nahaeloe, lokcaekhaih om mak ai.
32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
Toe aicae mah lokcaekhaih a tongh o naah, long kaminawk hoi nawnto lokcaekhaih a tongh o han ai ah, Angraeng mah thuitaekhaih to a zok o.
33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
To pongah, nawkamyanawk, caak han nawnto nam khueng o naah, maeto hoi maeto ang zing oh.
34 And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
Mi kawbaktih doeh zok amthlam nahaeloe, angmah im ah caa nasoe; to tih ai nahaeloe nawnto nam khueng o naah lokcaekhaih na tong o lat moeng tih. Kalah hmuennawk loe kang zoh naah karaemah ka sak han hmang.
