< Romans 2 >

1 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whosoever you are that judge: for wherein you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you that judge do the same things.
Aa le tsy amam-piveroha’e ondatio, ndra iaia rehe mizaka, o fizakà’oo ro amara’o vatañe, amy te ihe mizaka ro mpanao o anoe’eo.
2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
Toe fohin-tika te vantañe ty talim-pizakan’ Añahare o manao i sata rezaio.
3 And think you this, O man, that judge them which do such things, and do the same, that you shall escape the judgment of God?
He zao ty atao’o, ry ondatio, ie anoe’o o fanoe’ o zakae’oo, ho votitsihe’o hao i zakan’ Añaharey?
4 Or despise you the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
Ke vasohe’o ty havokaran-kasoa’e, ty fañantoàña’e naho ty fahaliñisa’e, ie amoea’o te mitaoñe azo hisoloho ty fatarihan’ Añahare.
5 But after your hardness and refusing to repent heart treasure up unto yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
Fa ty tro’o manjehatse tsy mete misoloho ro mañaja haviñerañe ho azo amy andron-kaviñerañe naho famentabentarañe ty hatòn-jakan’ Añaharey,
6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
ie songa ho tambezeñe ty amo sata’eo t’indaty;
7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: (aiōnios g166)
le tolora’e haveloñe nainai’e o mipay engeñe naho asiñe naho tsy fihomahañe am-pimanean-kasoao; (aiōnios g166)
8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
fe fiforoforoañe naho haviñerañe o mpitribàhatseo, o mañarinje ty to naho mitolon-katsivokarañe naho habosehañe vaho hatorifihañeo.
9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
Eka ho valea’e hasiloke naho halovilovy ze fiai’ ondaty mpanao raty, ty Jiosy hey vaho ty Grika;
10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
le engeñe naho asiñe naho fañanintsiñe ze hene mpanao soa; ty Jiosy hey vaho ty Grika.
11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
Fa tsy mirihy t’i Andrianañahare.
12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
Toe songa hikorokomake alafe’ i Hake ze mandilatse alafe’ i Hake, vaho sindre ho zakaeñe amy Hake ze manao hakeo ambane’ i Hake,
13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Tsy ze mpijanjiñe Hake ro malio-tahiñe aman’ Añahare, fa ty mañambeñe Hake ro mahazo to;
14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
aa ie mahafañorike ty andilia’ i Hake an-dilitse ty ambahiny tsy aman-Kàke, le aman-Kake am-bata’e ty tsy aman-Kàke,
15 Which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another; )
fa ampalangese’ o sata’eo te misokitse an-tro’e ao ty nafe’ i Hake, itaroñam-betsevetse, ke anisia’ ty fitsakorea’e he añatoa’e
16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
amy andro ho zakaen’ Añahare añam’ Iesoà Norizañey o mietake am’ ondatioo; zay ty talily soa taroñeko.
17 Behold, you are called a Jew, and rest in the law, and make your boast of God,
Aa ihe manoñom-batañe ho Jiosy, mpiato amy Hake naho mirenge aman’ Añahare;
18 And know his will, and approve the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
ihe mahafohiñe o satri’eo naho miantoke ty soa kanao niòke amy Hake,
19 And are confident that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
naho atao’o te mpiaolo’ ty goa naho hazavàñe amo añ’ ieñeo,
20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which have the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
mpanoro ty tsi-mahilala, mpañoke ty bahimo, ama’o ty vente’ ty hihitse naho ty hatò amy Hake ao—
21 You therefore which teach another, teach you not yourself? you that preach a man should not steal, do you steal?
ihe arè, mpañoke ty ila’e, maño-batam-b’iheo? Ihe manoro ty hoe: Ko mikametse, he mikizo?
22 You that say a man should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? you that abhor idols, do you commit sacrilege?
Ihe manao ty hoe: Ko mañarapilo; mitsindroke amontoñe ao hao? Ihe malain-tsikily, va’e mpampikametse añ’ anjomba miavake ao?
23 You that make your boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonour you God?
Ihe mpisenge Hake, hera mañamavo an’Andrianañahare ami’ty fandilara’o Hake?
24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
Toe pinatetse te: Inahareo ro iteratera’ o kilakila ondatio ty tahinan’ Añahare.
25 For circumcision verily profits, if you keep the law: but if you be a breaker of the law, your circumcision is made uncircumcision.
Toe mahasoa ty savatse, naho oriheñe ty Hake fe naho mpiola amy Hake le mivalike ho tsy fisavarañe i fisavara’oy.
26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
Aa naho àmbe’ ty tsi-sinavatse o fañè amy Hake aoo, tsy ho volilieñe te afa-boy hao i tsy misavatsey?
27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfill the law, judge you, who by the letter and circumcision do transgress the law?
Toe hizakà’ ty tsi-afa-boiñe mahambeñe Hake. Ama’o i pinatetsey naho i savatsey f’ie mpiola amy Hake.
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
Fe tsy maha-Jiosy t’ie alafe’e avao, mbore tsy atao savatse i anoeñe an-tsandriñey.
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, (pneuma) and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Toe Jiosy t’ie an-troke ao, naho añ’arofo ao ty savatse to, fa tsy an-tsokitse; aa le tsy boak’ am’ondatio ty enge’e fa aman’ Añahare.
