< Psalms 73 >

1 Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
MELEL, Kot kompoke pan men Ijrael, irail me makelekel nan monion arail.
2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
A nai, ekij ta, a na i kat pan lodi, o I koren ion krijedi ni ai kakakawei.
3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
Pwe I juedeki me aklapalap akan, ni ai kilaner en me japun akn ar pwaidar.
4 For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.
Pwe jota apwal kot lel on irail ni ar pan mela, re kin kelail o war arail wilar melel.
5 They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
Jota ar apwal kot dueta aramaj tei kan, o re jota pan kalokolok dueta aramaj tei kan.
6 Therefore pride compasses them about as a chain; violence covers them as a garment.
Ari aklapalap, iei kapwat en tapin wor arail, o arail likau, iei arail tiak weit.
7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
Por en maj arail tikitik o jued kilar ar wilar, o re kin wiada, me re inon ion.
8 They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
Re kin mamaleki meakaroj, o re kin lokelokaia me jued, o re kin lalaue o lokaia ni ar aklapalap.
9 They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walks through the earth.
Dene arail lokaia tapi jan nanlan, o me irail indinda, dene I eta me pun ni jappa.
10 Therefore his people return here: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
I me aramaj akan lokididi on irail; o pil totoia re kin nimala.
11 And they say, How does God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
Re kin inda: Iaduen, Kot pan kotin injenoki irail? O menda ren me aklapalap irail?
12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
Kilan, iduen me doo jan Kot akan; irail meid pai nin jappa, o re pan kapwapwala.
13 Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence.
Iaduen, likamata jota katopa ai kamakelekeladar monion i o kaminela pa i kat ni me pun?
14 For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
Pwe ran karoj i pan kalokolok, o ni manjan karoj ai kamekam mia.
15 If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of your children.
Koren ion i pil pan indinda dueta irail, a jo, pwe i de pan juedeki japwilim omui jeri kan karoj jan maj kokodo lel met.
16 When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
I ap madamadaua duen mepukat, pwen dedeki, a i jota kak on.
17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
Nai lao pedelon on mon mol en Kot jaraui o kilaner imwin mo doo jan Kot akan.
18 Surely you did set them in slippery places: you casted them down into destruction.
Melel kom kotin pwili kin irail edi waja likakerij; kom kotin kapup irail edi on nani pwel.
19 How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
Iaduen arail madan joredier. Irail lokidokila, o imwila’rail meid kamajapwek.
20 As a dream when one awakes; so, O Lord, when you awake, you shall despise their image.
Main Ieowa, kom kin kotin kawela mom arail nan kanim o dueta auramen.
21 Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.
Ni ai madak nan monion i, o waiwairok nan ai mudilik kan,
22 So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before you.
I ap diaradar, me nai ol pweipwei men, me jota aja meakot; dueta man amen mo omui.
23 Nevertheless I am continually with you: you have held me by my right hand.
Ari jo, i pan mimieta re omui kokolata, pwe komui kotin kolekol eta pa i pali maun.
24 You shall guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
Komui kin kalua ia duen kupur omui, o kom pan kotin kajamo ia nan linan omui.
25 Whom have I in heaven but you? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside you.
Ma komui ta ai Kot, i jota pan anane meakot nanlan de jappa.
26 My flesh and my heart fails: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Ma pali war ai o nen i pan dupokala, pil menda, pwe komui Main Kot kamait pa i o pwaij ai kokolata.
27 For, lo, they that are far from you shall perish: you have destroyed all them that go a whoring from you.
Pwe kom kotin mani irail, me muei jan komui pan lokidokila; Kom pan kotin kajapokela karoj, me wuki wei jan komui.
28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all your works.
A iet ai peren, i en teneten on Kot, o i en kaporoporeki Kot leowa, pwen kalok jili omui wia wia kan karoj.
