< Philemon 1 >

1 Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellow labourer,
I Paoly, mpirohi’ Iesoà Norizañey, naho i Timoty rahalahintika: Ho a i Filemona rañetse naho mpifanehake ama’ay,
2 And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:
naho i Apiae rahavaventika, naho i Arkipo lahin-defon-tika, vaho i Fivory añ’ anjomba’oy:
3 Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Hasoa naho fañanintsiñe ama’areo boak’ aman’ Añahare Raentika naho i Talè Iesoà Norizañey.
4 I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers,
Mañandriañe an’Andrianañahare nainai’e naho manoñoñe azo amo filolofakoo—
5 Hearing of your love (agape) and faith, which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
amy te tsinanoko ty fatokisa’o amy Talè Iesoà naho ty fikokoa’o o noro’e iabio —
6 That the communication of your faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
soa te hamokatse ho ami’ ty faharendrehañe ze hasoa ama’o amy Norizañey ty fitaroña’o am-patokisañe.
7 For we have great joy and consolation in your love, (agape) because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by you, brother.
Toe mahafale naho mañohò ahy ty fikokoa’o, amy nampanintsiñe’o ty arofo’ o noro’eoy, ry rahalahy.
8 Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to admonish you that which is convenient,
Ie amy zao, ndra hoe mirearea amy Norizañey raho handily azo hanao ze mañeva,
9 Yet for love's (agape) sake I rather plead to you, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
fe o fikokoañeo ty ihalaliako, zaho Paoly migain-kantetse naho mpirohi’ Iesoà Norizañey henaneo,
10 I plead to you for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:
ie idrakadrakafako i Onesimosy anako nampiareñeko, zaho an-tsilisily,
11 Which in time past was to you useless, but now profitable to you and to me:
ie tsy nahasoa azo te taolo, fa mahasoa azo naho ahy henaneo.
12 Whom I have sent again: you therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:
Ahitriko mb’eo am-bata’e re, ty troko ‘nio,
13 Whom I would have retained with me, that in your position he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
ie ho nitanako atoa hitoroñe ahy ty ama’o amo rohy toañe ty amy talili-soay,
14 But without your mind would I do nothing; that your benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.
f’ie tsy ho nanao inoñ’ inoñe naho tsy niera ama’o hey soa tsy ho nazitse ty hasoa ho nanoe’o an-tsatri’o.
15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that you should receive him for ever; (aiōnios g166)
Va’e zay ty nifampirià’e ama’o betebeteke handrambesa’o aze indraike ho pak’ añ’afeafe’e añe, (aiōnios g166)
16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto you, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?
tsy ho ondevo ka, fa lombolombo’ ty ondevo, toe rahalahy ìsoke, mentsake amako, fa somandrake ama’o an-tsandriñe naho amy Talè ao.
17 If you count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.
Aa naho atao’o rañe’o raho, le ampihovao re manahake te zaho.
18 If he has wronged you, or owes you ought, put that on mine account;
Fe naho eo ty nandilara’e azo ndra anaña’o songo ndra fire-fire, le ampisongò amako.
19 I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: although it be I do not say to you how you owe unto me even your own self besides.
Zaho Paoly ty manoratse toy an-tañako. Zaho ty hañavake—tsy hataoko ty hoe te nisongoe’o amako ty fiai’o.
20 Yea, brother, let me have joy of you in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.
Eka, ry rahalahy, hasoao raho amy Talè ao; ampanintsiño amy Norizañey ty troko.
21 Having confidence in your obedience I wrote unto you, knowing that you will also do more than I say.
Ihe atokisako te hiantoke, ty anokirako, amy te apotako te ho likoare’o i asakoy.
22 But likewise prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.
Tovo’e, añalankaño trañon’ ambahiny hitobohako, fa o halali’ areoo ty itamako te hatolots’ ama’areo.
23 There salute you Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus;
Mañontane azo t’i Epafra, mpindre-pirohy amako am’ Iesoà Norizañey,
24 Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellow labourers.
naho i Marka, i Aristarko, i Demasy, i Lioke, mpifanehake amako.
25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. (pneuma) Amen.
Ty hasoa’ i Talè Iesoà Norizañey amo arofo’ areoo. Amena.
