< Luke 4 >

1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Spirit (pneuma) returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit (pneuma) into the wilderness,

4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word (rhema) of God.

“Sɛ wobɛkotow, asom me a, mede ahenni ahorow yi ne mu tumi ne anuonyam nyinaa a wɔde ahyɛ me nsa yi bɛma wo.”
8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get you behind me, Satan: for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.
Yesu buaa no se, “Wɔakyerɛw se, ‘Som Awurade, wo Nyankopɔn, na ɔno nko ara na som no.’”
9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If you be the Son of God, cast yourself down from behind:

12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, You shall not tempt the Lord your God.

13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

Wɔde Odiyifo Yesaia nhoma hyɛɛ ne nsa na obuee baabi a wɔakyerɛw se,
18 The Spirit (pneuma) of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
“Awurade Honhom wɔ me so, na wɔafrɛ me sɛ memmɛka asɛmpa nkyerɛ ahiafo. Na menka nkyerɛ wɔn a wɔwɔ nnommum mu se, wobenya ahofadi, na anifuraefo ahu ade ama wɔn a wobu wɔn animtiaa nso anya anuonyam.

22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words (logos) which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?
Na kasa pa ne nsɛm ahorow a ɔkaa no yɛɛ wɔn a wɔtee nyinaa nwonwa ma wobisaa se, “Ɛnyɛ Yosef ba no ni?”
23 And he said unto them, All of you will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal yourself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in your country.
Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Akyinnye biara nni ho sɛ mode bɛ yi bebu me sɛ, ‘Ɔyaresafo, sa wo ho yare. Nea yɛate afa wo ho sɛ woyɛɛ wɔ Kapernaum no, yɛ bi wɔ wo kurom ha.’
24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.
“Nanso mereka ama moate ase sɛ, Odiyifo biara nni anuonyam wɔ ne kurom.
25 But I tell you truthfully, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;

29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.

33 And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit (pneuma) of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,
Na ɔbarima bi wɔ hyiadan no mu hɔ a honhommɔne ahyɛ no ma. Ohuu Yesu no, ɔteɛɛ mu se,

36 And they were all amazed, and spoke among themselves, saying, What a word (logos) is this! for with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, (pneuma) and they come out.
