Luke 19
1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.
Yesu atijingya ni peta katikati ya Yeriko.
2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.
Napo pabile ni mundu yumo akemelwa Zakayo, ywembe abile nkolo wa watoza ushuru kae mundu tajiri.
3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
Abile kapaya kubona Yesu ni mundu wa namna gani, lakini awezite kwaa kum'bona kwasababu ya bandu banyanisima, kwa kuwa abile mwipi wa kimo.
4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
Nga nyo, atilongoliya lubelo nnonge ya bandu, anaoboka kunanin ya mkuyu lenga aweche kum'bona, kwasababu Yesu atikaribiya pita kundela yelo.
5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; in order to day I must abide at your house.
Wakati Yesu paikite mahali palo, atilinga kunani ni kum'bakiya, Zakayo, uluka upesi, maana leno ni lachima shinda kunyumba yako!
6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
Apangite haraka, uluka ni kumkaribisha kwa puraha.
7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.
Bandu boti pababweni galo, batilalamika, nabaya,'Ayei kutembelia mundu mwene sambi.'
8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
Zakayo atiyema nakum'bakiya Ngwana, lola Ngwana nusu ya mali yango nibapeya maskini, ni ikiwa nimpokonyite mundu yeyoti kilebe, mnakumkeboliya mara ncheche.'
9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
Yesu atikum'bakiya,'leno wokovu uikite katika nyumba yeno, kwa sababu yembe ni mwana wa Ibrahimu.
10 For the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Kwa maana mwana wa mundu aichile pala ni lopwa bandu babaobite.'
11 And as they heard these things, he added and spoke a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
Pabayowine aga, atiyendeliya longela ni piya mfano, kwa sababu abii papii ni Yerusalemu anabo batangite ya kuwa ufalme wa nnonge wabile papipi na bonekana mara jimo.
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
Nga atikuwabakiya,'afisa yumo atiyenda kukilambo chakulipite lenga pokiya ufalme ni boka po buya.
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
Atikubakema atumishi bake komi, nakubapeya mafungu komi, nakuabakiya, mukapangie biashara mpaka panibuya!
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
Lakini bananchi bake batikasirika ni kwa nyoo batilagiya ajumbe bayende, kumkengama ni buya,'atakiwa kwaa mundu yono kututawala,'
15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
Pabile pabuite kaya baada ya pangilwa mpwalme, atiamuru balo atumishi abapeile mbanje bakemelwa kwake, apate tanga faida gani yabaipatike kwa panga biashara.
16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, your pound has gained ten pounds.
Wa kwanza aichile, nabaya, Ngwana, fungu lyako lipangite mafungu komi zaidi,
17 And he said unto him, Well, you good servant: because you have been faithful in a very little, have you authority over ten cities.
Yolo afisa atikum'bakiya, vema, wa mmanda mwema, kwasababu wabile mwaminifu katika kikowe kichunu, upala panga ni madaraka kunani ya miji komi.'
18 And the second came, saying, Lord, your pound has gained five pounds.
Wa na ibele, abaite, Ngwana, fungu lyako lipangite mafungu matano.'
19 And he said likewise to him, Be you also over five cities.
yolo afisa atikumbakiya,'tola mamlaka ga kunani ya miji itano.'
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is your pound, which I have kept laid up in a cloth:
Ni ywenge aichile, ni baya,'Ngwana yeno pano, banje yako, naibekite salama katika kitambala.
21 For I feared you, because you are an austere man: you take up that you layed not down, and reap that you did not sow.
kwa maana natiyogopa kwa sababu, wenga nga mundu nkale, undaboya chelo cha ukibekite ni una chaupandike kwaa.'
22 And he says unto him, Out of your own mouth will I judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
hayo afisa atikum'bakiya, kwa maneno yako mwene, nipala kumhukumu, ewe mtumishi mbaya, watangite nenga na mundu nkale, nitola chani bekite kwaa ni una chanipandike kwaa.
23 Wherefore then gave not you my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with interest?
Bai mbona wabekite kwaa mbanje yango katika benki, lenga paniboya nitole pamope ni faida?
24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that has ten pounds.
Afisa atikubabakiya bandu bababile batiyema hapo,'munyang, anye alyo lifungu ni kumpeya yolo mwene mafungu komi.
25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he has ten pounds.)
Bakam'bakiya,'Ngwana, yembe abi na mafungu komi.'
26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which has shall be given; and from him that has not, even that he has shall be taken away from him.
Nindakuwabakiya kila mundu ywabile nacho apala peilwa zaidi, lakini ntopo, hata kiche kilebe abile nacho kipala tolekwa.
27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring here, and slay them before me.
Lakini aba maadui bango, babakani nipange mpwalume wabe, baletwe pano ni kuba bulaga nnonge yango.”
28 And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.
Baada ya baya gano, atiyendeleya nnonge panda yenda Yerusalemu.
29 And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
Pabile pakaribie Bethfage ni Bethania, papipi ni kitombe cha mizeituni, atikubatuma anapunzi bake abele,
30 Saying, Go all of you into the village opposite to you; in the which at your entering all of you shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him here.
Atibaya,'Muyende katika ijiji ya jirani, pamujingya, mpala kumkoliya mwana mbunda anapandilwa kwaa balo, muyogoli, mumleti kwango.
31 And if any man ask you, Why do all of you loose him? thus shall all of you say unto him, Because the Lord has need of him.
Kati mundu abalokiye, “Mbona mundakumyogoliya” mubaye, “Ngwana andakumpala”.
32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.
Balo babalagilwe batiyenda nakum'bona mwana mbonda kati Yesu chabakiye.
33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose all of you the colt?
Babile banda kumyogoliya mwana mbonda wamiliki baka wabakiya,'kitumbwe namani munda kumyogoliya mwana mbunda yono?
34 And they said, The Lord has need of him.
Batibaya, “Ngwana andakumpala.”
35 And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.
Bai, batikumpelekia Yesu, batikumtandika ngobo yabe kunani ya mwana mbonda ni bakamoboya Yesu kunani yake.
36 And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.
Pabile kayenda bandu batitandza mavazi yabe mundela.
37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
Pabile anatelemka pakitombe sa mizeituni, jumuiya yoti ya benepunzi bake batumbwile shangiliya ni kumtukuza Nnongo kwa lilobe likolo, kwa sababu ya makowe makolo bayabweni.
38 Saying, Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
Batibaya, “nga yembe mbarikiwa mpwalume yaichile kwa lina Ngwana! Amani kumaunde, ni utukufu kunani!'
39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke your disciples.
Baadhi ya Mafarisayo katika makutano batikum'bakiya, mwalimu, ubanyamazishe benepunzi bako.
40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
Yesu kayangwa ni kubaya, “nindakuwabakiya, kati haba batituliya, maliwe yapala kombwa malobe.'
41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
Yesu paaukaribiye mji atiuleliya.
42 Saying, If you had known, even you, at least in this your day, the things which belong unto your peace! but now they are hid from your eyes.
Atibaya, “Laiti mwatangite hata wenga, katika lichoba lino makowe gagaleta amani! lakini nambeambe yatiya mminyo pako.
43 For the days shall come upon you, that your enemies shall cast a trench about you, and compass you round, and keep you in on every side,
Kwa kuwa lichoba lindaicha ambapo adui bako apala chenga boma papipi ni wenga, ni kukutindiya ni kukukandamiza boka kila upande.
44 And shall lay you even with the ground, and your children within you; and they shall not leave in you one stone upon another; because you knew not the time of your visitation.
Bapala kutomboya pae wenga na bana bako. bapala kukuleka kwaa hata liwe limo kunani ya jenge, kwa sababu upala tambwa kwaa wakati Nnongo pabile kapaya kukulopwa!'
45 And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
Yesu ajingile muhekalu, atumbwi kuwabenganga balo babile bakipemeya,
46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but all of you have made it a den of thieves.
Atikuwabakiya, “Itiandikwa, nyumba yango ipala panga numba ya sala, lakini mwenga muipangite kuwa likolo lya anyang'anyi.'
47 And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
Kwa nyoo, Yesu abile atipundisha kila lichoba muhekalu, Makuhani akolo ni Alimu ba saliya ni iongozi ba bandu bapalite kumuhukumu.
48 And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
Lakini wawezite kwaa pata ndela ya panga nyoo, kwa sababu bandu boti babile bakimpekaniya kwa makini.
