Luke 12
1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware all of you of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
Kad se na njih skupiše hiljade naroda da stadoše gaziti jedan drugoga, onda poèe najprije govoriti uèenicima svojijem: èuvajte se kvasca farisejskoga, koji je licemjerje.
2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
Jer ništa nije sakriveno što se neæe otkriti, ni tajno što se neæe doznati;
3 Therefore whatsoever all of you have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which all of you have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
Jer što u mraku rekoste, èuæe se na vidjelu; i što na uho šaptaste u klijetima, propovijedaæe se na krovovima.
4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
Ali vam kažem, prijateljima svojijem: ne bojte se od onijeh koji ubijaju tijelo i potom ne mogu ništa više uèiniti.
5 But I will forewarn you whom all of you shall fear: Fear him, which after he has killed has power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. (Geenna g1067)
Nego æu vam kazati koga da se bojite: bojte se onoga koji ima vlast pošto ubije baciti u pakao; da, kažem vam, onoga se bojte. (Geenna g1067)
6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
Ne prodaje li se pet vrabaca za dva dinara? i nijedan od njih nije zaboravljen pred Bogom.
7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: all of you are of more value than many sparrows.
A u vas je i kosa na glavi izbrojena. Ne bojte se dakle; vi ste bolji od mnogo vrabaca.
8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
Nego vam kažem: koji god prizna mene pred ljudima priznaæe i sin èovjeèij njega pred anðelima Božijim;
9 But he that denies me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
A koji se odreèe mene pred ljudima njega æe se odreæi pred anðelima Božijim.
10 And whosoever shall speak a word (logos) against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemes against the Holy Spirit (pneuma) it shall not be forgiven.
I svaki koji reèe rijeè na sina èovjeèijega oprostiæe mu se, a koji huli na svetoga Duha neæe mu se oprostiti.
11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take all of you no thought how or what thing all of you shall answer, or what all of you shall say:
A kad vas dovedu u zbornice i na sudove i pred poglavare, ne brinite se kako æete ili šta odgovoriti, ili šta æete kazati;
12 For the Holy Spirit (pneuma) shall teach you in the same hour what all of you ought to say.
Jer æe vas sveti Duh nauèiti u onaj èas šta treba reæi.
13 And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
Reèe mu pak neki iz naroda: uèitelju! reci bratu mojemu da podijeli sa mnom dostojanje.
14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?
A on mu reèe: èovjeèe! ko je mene postavio sudijom ili kmetom nad vama?
15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.
A njima reèe: gledajte i èuvajte se od lakomstva; jer niko ne živi onijem što je suviše bogat.
16 And he spoke a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
Kaza im pak prièu govoreæi: u jednoga bogatog èovjeka rodi njiva.
17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
I mišljaše u sebi govoreæi: šta æu èiniti? nemam u što sabrati svoje ljetine.
18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
I reèe: evo ovo æu èiniti: pokvariæu žitnice svoje i naèiniæu veæe; i ondje æu sabrati sva svoja žita i dobro svoje;
19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have much goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
I kazaæu duši svojoj: dušo! imaš mnogo imanje na mnogo godina; poèivaj, jedi, pij, veseli se.
20 But God said unto him, You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: then whose shall those things be, which you have provided?
A Bog njemu reèe: bezumnièe! ovu noæ uzeæe dušu tvoju od tebe; a što si pripravio èije æe biti?
21 So is he that lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
Tako biva onome koji sebi teèe blago a ne bogati se u Boga.
22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what all of you shall eat; neither for the body, what all of you shall put on.
A uèenicima svojijem reèe: zato vam kažem: ne brinite se dušom svojom šta æete jesti; ni tijelom u što æete se obuæi:
23 The life is more than food, and the body is more than raiment.
Duša je pretežnija od jela i tijelo od odijela.
24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them: how much more are all of you better than the fowls?
Pogledajte gavrane kako ne siju, ni žanju, koji nemaju podruma ni žitnica, i Bog ih hrani: a koliko ste vi pretežniji od ptica?
25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
A ko od vas brinuæi se može primaknuti rastu svojemu lakat jedan?
26 If all of you then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take all of you thought for the rest?
A kad ni najmanje što ne možete, zašto se brinete za ostalo?
27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Pogledajte ljiljane kako rastu: ne trude se, niti predu; ali ja vam kažem da ni Solomun u svoj slavi svojoj ne obuèe se kao jedan od njih.
28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O all of you of little faith?
A kad travu po polju, koja danas jest a sjutra se u peæ baca, Bog tako odijeva, akamoli vas, malovjerni!
29 And seek not all of you what all of you shall eat, or what all of you shall drink, neither be all of you of doubtful mind.
I vi ne ištite šta æete jesti ili šta æete piti, i ne brinite se;
30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knows that all of you have need of these things.
Jer ovo sve ištu i neznabošci ovoga svijeta; a otac vaš zna da vama treba ovo.
31 But rather seek all of you the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Nego ištite carstva Božijega, i ovo æe vam se sve dodati.
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Ne boj se, malo stado! jer bi volja vašega oca da vam da carstvo.
33 Sell that all of you have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that fails not, where no thief approaches, neither moth corrupts.
Prodajite što imate i dajite milostinju; naèinite sebi torbe koje neæe ovetšati, haznu koja se nikad neæe isprazniti, na nebesima, gdje se lupež ne prikuèuje niti moljac jede.
34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Jer gdje je vaše blago ondje æe biti i srce vaše.
35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
Neka budu vaša bedra zapregnuta i svijeæe zapaljene;
36 And all of you yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he comes and knocks, they may open unto him immediately.
I vi kao ljudi koji èekaju gospodara svojega kad se vrati sa svadbe da mu odmah otvore kako doðe i kucne.
37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he comes shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to food, and will come forth and serve them.
Blago onijem slugama koje naðe gospodar kad doðe a oni straže. Zaista vam kažem da æe se zapregnuti, i posadiæe ih, i pristupiæe te æe im služiti.
38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
I ako doðe u drugu stražu, i u treæu stražu doðe, i naðe ih tako, blago onijem slugama.
39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
Ali ovo znajte: kad bi znao domaæin u koji æe èas doæi lupež, èuvao bi i ne bi dao potkopati kuæe svoje.
40 Be all of you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when all of you think not.
I vi dakle budite gotovi; jer u koji èas ne mislite doæi æe sin èovjeèij.
41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speak you this parable unto us, or even to all?
A Petar mu reèe: Gospode! govoriš li nama ovu prièu ili svima?
42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?
A Gospod reèe: ko je dakle taj vjerni i mudri pristav kojega postavi gospodar nad èeljadi svojom da im daje hranu na obrok?
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing.
Blago tome sluzi kojega došavši gospodar njegov naðe da izvršuje tako.
44 Truthfully I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he has.
Zaista vam kažem: nad svijem svojijem imanjem postaviæe ga.
45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delays his coming; and shall begin to beat the male servants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
Ako li reèe sluga u srcu svojemu: neæe moj gospodar još zadugo doæi; i stane biti sluge i sluškinje, i jesti i piti, i opijati se;
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looks not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
Doæi æe gospodar toga sluge u dan kad se ne nada, i u èas kad ne misli, i rasjeæi æe ga, i dijel njegov metnuæe s nevjernima.
47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
A onaj sluga koji zna volju gospodara svojega, i nije se pripravio, niti uèinio po volji njegovoj, biæe vrlo bijen;
48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
A koji ne zna pa zasluži boj, biæe malo bijen. Kome je god mnogo dano mnogo æe se iskati od njega; a kome predaše najviše najviše æe iskati od njega.
49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?
Ja sam došao da bacim oganj na zemlju; i kako bi mi se htjelo da se veæ zapalio!
50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
Ali se meni valja krstiti krštenjem, i kako mi je teško dok se ne svrši!
51 Suppose all of you that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
Mislite li da sam ja došao da dam mir na zemlju? Ne, kažem vam, nego razdor.
52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
Jer æe otsele pet u jednoj kuæi biti razdijeljeni, ustaæe tri na dva, i dva na tri.
53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Ustaæe otac na sina i sin na oca; mati na kæer i kæi na mater; svekrva na snahu svoju i snaha na svekrvu svoju.
54 And he said also to the people, When all of you see a cloud rise out of the west, immediately all of you say, There comes a shower; and so it is.
A narodu govoraše: kad vidite oblak gdje se diže od zapada odmah kažete: biæe dažd; i biva tako.
55 And when all of you see the south wind blow, all of you say, There will be heat; and it comes to pass.
I kad vidite jug gdje duva kažete: biæe vruæina; i biva.
56 All of you hypocrites, all of you can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that all of you do not discern this time?
Licemjeri! lice neba i zemlje umijete poznavati, a vremena ovoga kako ne poznajete?
57 Yea, and why even of yourselves judge all of you not what is right?
Zašto pak i sami od sebe ne sudite pravedno?
58 When you go with your adversary to the magistrate, as you are in the way, give diligence that you may be delivered from him; lest he hale you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and the officer cast you into prison.
Jer kad ideš sa svojijem suparnikom knezu, gledaj ne bi li se na putu s njim poravnao da te ne pritegne sudiji, i sudija da te ne preda sluzi, i sluga da te ne baci u tamnicu.
59 I tell you, you shall not depart thence, till you have paid the very last mite.
Kažem ti: neæeš odande iziæi dok ne daš i pošljednjega dinara.
