< Luke 12 >

1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware all of you of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
Ie amy zao, naho nivorigidiñe añ’aleale t’indaty vaho nifandialia, le nanoe’ Iesoà ty hoe hey o mpiama’eo: Itaò ty lalivai’ o Fariseoo, amy t’ie hasoa-fiatreke.
2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
Toe tsy ao ty linomboke ze tsy haboake ndra ty nakafitse ze tsy haborake;
3 Therefore whatsoever all of you have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which all of you have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
aa ndra inoñ’ inoñe volañe’ areo añ’ieñe ao, ty ho janjiñeñe an-kazavàñe ey; vaho ze tsikoe’ areo an-dravembia añ’anjomba ao ho tseizeñe an-tampenake ey.
4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
Taroñeko ama’areo roàñeko ty hoe, ko marimarihañe ze mahay mamono ty sandriñe, fe tsy mahalefe mandikoatse.
5 But I will forewarn you whom all of you shall fear: Fear him, which after he has killed has power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. (Geenna g1067)
Hatahataeko ty hañeveña’ areo: irevendreveño i fa namonoy ro mbe aman-dily hampijoroboñ’ azo an-tsikeokeok’ ao; eka hoe raho, Añeveño! (Geenna g1067)
6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
Tsy drala roe hao ty vili’ ty tsikisoisoy lime? Fa ndra raik’ ama’e tsy andikòfan’ Añahare.
7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: all of you are of more value than many sparrows.
Ndra ty maroi’ ty añambone’areo, fa fonga niaheñe. Aa le ko mahimahiñe, fa mandikoatse ty tsikisoisoy maro nahareo.
8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
Itaroñako: Ndra iaia miantok’ ahy añatrefa’ ondatio, ro hiantofa’ i Ana’ondatiy añatrefa’ o anjelin’Añahareo.
9 But he that denies me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
Fe ze mitety ahy añatrefa’ ondatio, ro hitetiako añatrefa’ o anjelin’Añahareo.
10 And whosoever shall speak a word (logos) against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemes against the Holy Spirit (pneuma) it shall not be forgiven.
Ndra iaia mitsiko i Ana’ondatiy ro mbe hiheveañe; fe tsy hiheveañe ka ze miteratera i Arofo Masiñey.
11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take all of you no thought how or what thing all of you shall answer, or what all of you shall say:
Lehe asese’ iereo am-pitontonañ’ ao nahareo naho amo zizio ndra amo mpifeheo, ko tsòtsek’ ami’ty hatoi’ areo naho amy ze ho saontsie’areo;
12 For the Holy Spirit (pneuma) shall teach you in the same hour what all of you ought to say.
Fa hanare’ i Arofon-kamasiñañey ze ho saontsie’areo amy ora zay.
13 And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
Tamy lahialeñey ty nanao ama’e ty hoe: O Talè, saontsio ty rahalahiko ty hifanjara i lovay amako.
14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?
Tinoi’e ty hoe: O korahe, ia ty nanendre ahy ho mpizaka ndra mpizara ama’areo?
15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.
Le hoe re tam’ iereo: Mitaoa naho mitomira tsy ho azo’ ty fihañañe, fa tsy miato ami’ty fanaña’e ty havelo’ ondaty.
16 And he spoke a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
Le hoe ty nirazañe’e: Namokatse soa ty tetem-pañaleale.
17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
Le hoe ty safirin-tro’e: Hanao akore raho henaneo, tsy eo ty hanontonako o hanekoo.
18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
Aa le hoe ty asa’e: Zao arè ty hanoeko: Ho rotsaheko o rihakoo naho ho tratrañàheko, vaho ho tamirieko ao ze hene haneko naho varako.
19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have much goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
Le hatàko ty hoe ty troko: O ry troko, nivandroñe’o vara tsifotofoto an-driha ao, ie tsy ho ritse an-taoñ’ an-taoñe; aa le mitofà, mikamà, migenoha, vaho mifalea.
20 But God said unto him, You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: then whose shall those things be, which you have provided?
Fe hoe ty nitsaran’ Añahare aze: Ty dagola tia! ampañavaheñe azo anito haleñe ty tro’o, aa le ho an’ ia v’o nahaja’oo?’
21 So is he that lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
Hambañe amy zay ty ho amy ze mitamiry vara ho am-bata’e, f’ie tsy mpañaleale aman’ Añahare.
22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what all of you shall eat; neither for the body, what all of you shall put on.
Le nanao ty hoe re amo mpiama’eo: Zao ty volako ama’areo: ko tsimboetse ami’ty haveloñe toy, ty ho kamae’ areo; ndra ami’ty sandriñe, ze hisaroña’areo.
23 The life is more than food, and the body is more than raiment.
Zoke’ ty mahakama ty haveloñe, naho ty saroñe i sandriñey.
24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them: how much more are all of you better than the fowls?
Haraharao o koàkeo: tsy mitongy, tsy mandrofotse, tsy aman-jahetse, tsy aman-driha, fe fahanan’ Añahare; tsy ambone’ o voroñeo hao ty fiai’areo?
25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
Aa vaho ia ama’areo te mahimahiñe ro mahatovoñe ty andro hiveloma’e ndra kede?
26 If all of you then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take all of you thought for the rest?
Aa naho tsy mete’ areo i raha kedekedey inoñe ty iveobeoha’ areo o raha ila’eo?
27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Rendreho o voñeo, ty fitiri’e; ie tsy mitoroñe, tsy manenoñe; Eka, itaroñako te, ndra i Solomona amy ze hene enge’e tsy nañirinkiriñe ty fisafora’ ty raik’ ama’e.
28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O all of you of little faith?
Aa naho zay ty ampisikinan’ Añahare o ahetseo, ie amoka añe androany vaho ahifik’ an-toñak’ ao te hamaray, àntsake ty hanafora’e anahareo, ry kede fatokisañe!
29 And seek not all of you what all of you shall eat, or what all of you shall drink, neither be all of you of doubtful mind.
Ko mitsoeke ty ho kamae’areo ndra hinome’ areo, le ko marimarike.
30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knows that all of you have need of these things.
Fonga paiae’ o kilakila’ondatio rezay vaho arofoanan-dRae’areo te ipaia’areo ka.
31 But rather seek all of you the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Fe hotsohotsò heik’ i Fifehea’ey le hatovoñe ama’areo ze he’e.
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Ko hembañe, ry mpirai-lia kedeo fa non-dRae’areo ty hanolotse anahareo i Fifeheañey.
33 Sell that all of you have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that fails not, where no thief approaches, neither moth corrupts.
Aletaho ty vara’ areo le añomeo o rarakeo. Añentseño horoñe tsy mete voroke naho vara andindìñe ao tsy ho ritse, tsy harivoa’ ty malaso, tsy ho vorohe’ ty oletse.
34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Fa ami’ty nampipohañe o fanaña’ areoo, le ao ka ty arofo’areo.
35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
Midiaña vania, le ampireheto o failo’ areoo,
36 And all of you yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he comes and knocks, they may open unto him immediately.
vaho mihambaña am’ ondaty mandiñe ty talè’e himpoly boak’ añ’ engavao añeo: ie pok’ eo naho mitrehentreheñe, le ho sokafe’ iereo ami’ ty manao zao.
37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he comes shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to food, and will come forth and serve them.
Haha o mpitoroñe ho zoe’ i talè’ iareoy mitao amy fiavi’eio! Eka! to t’itaroñako t’ie hidiañe vaho hampiambesatse iareo hikama, le homb’eo re hitoroñe iareo.
38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
He t’ie avy petsakaleñe ke mielizava, vaho zoe’e manahake zay, le ho haha i mpitoroñe rezay.
39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
Arendreho zao te, ie napota’ ty tompon-traño ty ora ho niloneahe’ o malasoo, tsy ho nado’e ho foieñe i akiba’ey.
40 Be all of you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when all of you think not.
Aa le mitaoa, fa ami’ty ora mahatondreñe anahareo ty hitotsaha’ i Ana’ondatiy.
41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speak you this parable unto us, or even to all?
Hoe t’i Petera: O Talè, tsinara’o ama’ay v’i ohatsey, ke amy màroy?
42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?
Le hoe t’i Talè: Ia arè ty mpamandroñe migahiñe naho mahihitse, tinendre’ ty bei’e hifeleke o añ’anjomba’eo hanonkantsonkañe mahakama ami’ty andro’e?
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing.
Haha ty mpitoroñe, t’ie zoe’ i talè’ey mifanehake hoe zay amy fibali’ey.
44 Truthfully I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he has.
Eka! to t’itaroñako t’ie horiza’e ho mpamandroñe o vara’e iabio.
45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delays his coming; and shall begin to beat the male servants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
Fe naho zao ka ty fitsakorea’ i mpitoroñey, te: Tambatse añe i talèkoy. Ie miorotse mamangovango o mpitoroñeo, ndra lahy ndra ampela naho mitolon-tsorake vaho mitríke ho jike,
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looks not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
ie pok’ao i talèm-pitoroñey ami’ty andro tsy itama’e naho ami’ty ora tsy apota’e; le ho trabotrabohe’e i mpamandroñey vaho hatrao’e fitobohañe amo tsereheñeo.
47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
I mpitoroñe nahafohiñe ty satrin’arofo’ i bei’ey, fe tsy nañalankañe, naho tsy nanao i satri’eiy ro ho kimokimohen-doda.
48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Fa ze tsy naharendreke, ndra t’ie nanao ty mañeva fofoke, ro mone ho filopiloreñe. Ze nimeam-bey, bey ka ty ipaiañe; ze nampañajarieñe bey le bey ka ty hampañondrohañe aze.
49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?
Ty hametsahako afo an-tane atoy ty nivotrahako, le hàmake t’ie niviàñeñe!
50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
fe am-piliporañe hiliporako, aa le malovilovy ampara’ t’ie tondroke.
51 Suppose all of you that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
Atao’ areo ho ninday fifampilongoañe amy Taney hao ty fiaviko? Tsie, hoe raho, te mone fifampiriàñe.
52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
Henane zao, hifandietse ty lime mpitraok’ anjomba, ho liere’ ty telo ty roe naho ho liere’ ty roe ty telo.
53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Hifampiria aman-drae’e ty anadahy naho i anadahiy aman-drae’e; ty rene am’ty anak-ampela’e naho i anak-ampelay aman-drene’e; ty rafozan’ ampela ami’ty vinanto’e ampela, le i vinantoy aman-drafoza’e.
54 And he said also to the people, When all of you see a cloud rise out of the west, immediately all of you say, There comes a shower; and so it is.
Hoe re amy lahialeñey: Ie tendreke rahoñe mionjoñe boak’ ahandrefañe añe, ro manao ty hoe: Ho avy ty orañe; le toe avy.
55 And when all of you see the south wind blow, all of you say, There will be heat; and it comes to pass.
Ie mitiok’ atimo, le hoe ty asa’areo: Hatrovoke te anito, le eo zay.
56 All of you hypocrites, all of you can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that all of you do not discern this time?
O soamiatrekeo! Mahafitsikarake ty tarehe’ i likerañey naho ty tane toy nahareo; fe manao akore te tsy mahatsikarake ty vinta’ o sa zao?
57 Yea, and why even of yourselves judge all of you not what is right?
Akore te tsy safirie’areo ty lala-mahity horiheñe.
58 When you go with your adversary to the magistrate, as you are in the way, give diligence that you may be delivered from him; lest he hale you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and the officer cast you into prison.
Ie indreza’o lia i rafelahi’oy mb’ amy ziziy mb’eo, ihe mbe an-dalañey, imaneo filongoañe, tsy mone ho kororohe’e mb’an-jizy mb’eo naho hatolo’ i ziziy amo mpandrohio, vaho hafetsa’ i mpandrohiy am-balabey ao.
59 I tell you, you shall not depart thence, till you have paid the very last mite.
Ataliliko azo te tsy hiboak’ ao rehe ampara-pandroroña’o ze drala honka’e.
