John 8
1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
İsa ise Zeytin Dağı'na gitti.
2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
Ertesi sabah erkenden yine tapınağa döndü. Bütün halk O'nun yanına geliyordu. O da oturup onlara öğretmeye başladı.
3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
Din bilginleri ve Ferisiler, zina ederken yakalanmış bir kadın getirdiler. Kadını orta yere çıkararak İsa'ya, “Öğretmen, bu kadın tam zina ederken yakalandı” dediler.
4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what say you?
“Musa, Yasa'da bize böyle kadınların taşlanmasını buyurdu, sen ne dersin?”
6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
Bunları İsa'yı denemek amacıyla söylüyorlardı; O'nu suçlayabilmek için bir neden arıyorlardı. İsa eğilmiş, parmağıyla toprağa yazı yazıyordu.
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
Durmadan aynı soruyu sormaları üzerine doğruldu ve, “İçinizde kim günahsızsa, ilk taşı o atsın!” dedi.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
Sonra yine eğildi, toprağa yazmaya başladı.
9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
Bunu işittikleri zaman, başta yaşlılar olmak üzere, birer birer dışarı çıkıp İsa'yı yalnız bıraktılar. Kadın ise orta yerde duruyordu.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those your accusers? has no man condemned you?
İsa doğrulup ona, “Kadın, nerede onlar? Hiçbiri seni yargılamadı mı?” diye sordu.
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more.
Kadın, “Hiçbiri, Efendim” dedi. İsa, “Ben de seni yargılamıyorum” dedi. “Git, artık bundan sonra günah işleme!”
12 Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
İsa yine halka seslenip şöyle dedi: “Ben dünyanın ışığıyım. Benim ardımdan gelen, asla karanlıkta yürümez, yaşam ışığına sahip olur.”
13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, You bear record of yourself; your record is not true.
Ferisiler, “Sen kendin için tanıklık ediyorsun, tanıklığın geçerli değil” dediler.
14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and where I go; but all of you cannot tell whence I come, and where I go.
İsa onlara şu karşılığı verdi: “Kendim için tanıklık etsem bile tanıklığım geçerlidir. Çünkü nereden geldiğimi ve nereye gideceğimi biliyorum. Oysa siz nereden geldiğimi, nereye gideceğimi bilmiyorsunuz.
15 All of you judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
Siz insan gözüyle yargılıyorsunuz. Ben kimseyi yargılamam.
16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
Yargılasam bile benim yargım doğrudur. Çünkü ben yalnız değilim, ben ve beni gönderen Baba, birlikte yargılarız.
17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
Yasanızda da, ‘İki kişinin tanıklığı geçerlidir’ diye yazılmıştır.
18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me bears witness of me.
Kendim için tanıklık eden bir ben varım, bir de beni gönderen Baba benim için tanıklık ediyor.”
19 Then said they unto him, Where is your Father? Jesus answered, All of you neither know me, nor my Father: if all of you had known me, all of you should have known my Father also.
O zaman O'na, “Baban nerede?” diye sordular. İsa şu karşılığı verdi: “Siz ne beni tanırsınız, ne de Babam'ı. Beni tanısaydınız, Babam'ı da tanırdınız.”
20 These words (rhema) spoke Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
İsa bu sözleri tapınakta öğretirken, bağış toplanan yerde söyledi. Kimse O'nu yakalamadı. Çünkü saati henüz gelmemişti.
21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and all of you shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: where I go, all of you cannot come.
İsa yine onlara, “Ben gidiyorum. Beni arayacaksınız ve günahınızın içinde öleceksiniz. Benim gideceğim yere siz gelemezsiniz” dedi.
22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he says, Where I go, all of you cannot come.
Yahudi yetkililer, “Yoksa kendini mi öldürecek?” dediler. “Çünkü, ‘Benim gideceğim yere siz gelemezsiniz’ diyor.”
23 And he said unto them, All of you are from beneath; I am from above: all of you are of this world; I am not of this world.
İsa onlara, “Siz aşağıdansınız, ben yukarıdanım” dedi. “Siz bu dünyadansınız, ben bu dünyadan değilim.
24 I said therefore unto you, that all of you shall die in your sins: for if all of you believe not that I am he, all of you shall die in your sins.
İşte bu nedenle size, ‘Günahlarınızın içinde öleceksiniz’ dedim. Benim O olduğuma iman etmezseniz, günahlarınızın içinde öleceksiniz.”
25 Then said they unto him, Who are you? And Jesus says unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
O'na, “Sen kimsin?” diye sordular. İsa, “Başlangıçtan beri size ne söyledimse, O'yum” dedi.
26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
“Sizinle ilgili söyleyecek ve sizleri yargılayacak çok şeyim var. Beni gönderen gerçektir. Ben O'ndan işittiklerimi dünyaya bildiriyorum.”
27 They understood not that he spoke to them of the Father.
İsa'nın kendilerine Baba'dan söz ettiğini anlamadılar.
28 Then said Jesus unto them, When all of you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall all of you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things.
Bu nedenle İsa şöyle dedi: “İnsanoğlu'nu yukarı kaldırdığınız zaman benim O olduğumu, kendiliğimden hiçbir şey yapmadığımı, ama tıpkı Baba'nın bana öğrettiği gibi konuştuğumu anlayacaksınız.
29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
Beni gönderen benimledir, O beni yalnız bırakmadı. Çünkü ben her zaman O'nu hoşnut edeni yaparım.”
30 As he spoke these words, many believed on him.
Bu sözler üzerine birçokları O'na iman etti.
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If all of you continue in my word, (logos) then are all of you my disciples indeed;
İsa kendisine iman etmiş olan Yahudiler'e, “Eğer benim sözüme bağlı kalırsanız, gerçekten öğrencilerim olursunuz. Gerçeği bileceksiniz ve gerçek sizi özgür kılacak” dedi.
32 And all of you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how say you, All of you shall be made free?
“Biz İbrahim'in soyundanız” diye karşılık verdiler, “Hiçbir zaman kimseye kölelik etmedik. Nasıl oluyor da sen, ‘Özgür olacaksınız’ diyorsun?”
34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin.
İsa, “Size doğrusunu söyleyeyim, günah işleyen herkes günahın kölesidir” dedi.
“Köle ev halkının sürekli bir üyesi değildir, ama oğul sürekli üyesidir. (aiōn g165)
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, all of you shall be free indeed.
Bunun için, Oğul sizi özgür kılarsa, gerçekten özgür olursunuz.
37 I know that all of you are Abraham's seed; but all of you seek to kill me, because my word (logos) has no place in you.
İbrahim'in soyundan olduğunuzu biliyorum. Yine de beni öldürmek istiyorsunuz. Çünkü yüreğinizde sözüme yer vermiyorsunuz.
38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and all of you do that which all of you have seen with your father.
Ben Babam'ın yanında gördüklerimi söylüyorum, siz de babanızdan işittiklerinizi yapıyorsunuz.”
39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus says unto them, If all of you were Abraham's children, all of you would do the works of Abraham.
“Bizim babamız İbrahim'dir” diye karşılık verdiler. İsa, “İbrahim'in çocukları olsaydınız, İbrahim'in yaptıklarını yapardınız” dedi.
40 But now all of you seek to kill me, a man that has told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
“Ama şimdi beni –Tanrı'dan işittiği gerçeği sizlere bildireni– öldürmek istiyorsunuz. İbrahim bunu yapmadı.
41 All of you do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
Siz babanızın yaptıklarını yapıyorsunuz.” “Biz zinadan doğmadık. Bir tek Babamız var, o da Tanrı'dır” dediler.
42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, all of you would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
İsa, “Tanrı Babanız olsaydı, beni severdiniz” dedi. “Çünkü ben Tanrı'dan çıkıp geldim. Kendiliğimden gelmedim, beni O gönderdi.
43 Why do all of you not understand my speech? even because all of you cannot hear my word. (logos)
Söylediklerimi neden anlamıyorsunuz? Benim sözümü dinlemeye dayanamıyorsunuz da ondan.
44 All of you are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father all of you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Siz babanız İblis'tensiniz ve babanızın arzularını yerine getirmek istiyorsunuz. O başlangıçtan beri katildi. Gerçeğe bağlı kalmadı. Çünkü onda gerçek yoktur. Yalan söylemesi doğaldır. Çünkü o yalancıdır ve yalanın babasıdır.
45 And because I tell you the truth, all of you believe me not.
Ama ben gerçeği söylüyorum. İşte bunun için bana iman etmiyorsunuz.
46 Which of you convinces me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do all of you not believe me?
Hanginiz bana günahlı olduğumu kanıtlayabilir? Gerçeği söylüyorsam, niçin bana iman etmiyorsunuz?
47 He that is of God hears God's words: (rhema) all of you therefore hear them not, because all of you are not of God.
Tanrı'dan olan, Tanrı'nın sözlerini dinler. İşte siz Tanrı'dan olmadığınız için dinlemiyorsunuz.”
48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that you are a Samaritan, and have a devil?
Yahudiler O'na şu karşılığı verdiler: “‘Sen, cin çarpmış bir Samiriyeli'sin’ demekte haklı değil miyiz?”
49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and all of you do dishonour me.
İsa, “Beni cin çarpmadı” dedi. “Ben Babam'ı onurlandırıyorum, ama siz beni aşağılıyorsunuz.
50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeks and judges.
Ben kendimi yüceltmek istemiyorum, ama bunu isteyen ve yargılayan biri vardır.
51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, (logos) he shall never see death. (aiōn g165)
Size doğrusunu söyleyeyim, bir kimse sözüme uyarsa, ölümü asla görmeyecektir.” (aiōn g165)
52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that you have a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and you say, If a man keep my saying, (logos) he shall never taste of death. (aiōn g165)
Yahudiler, “Seni cin çarptığını şimdi anlıyoruz” dediler. “İbrahim öldü, peygamberler de öldü. Oysa sen, ‘Bir kimse sözüme uyarsa, ölümü asla tatmayacaktır’ diyorsun. (aiōn g165)
53 Are you greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom make you yourself?
Yoksa sen babamız İbrahim'den üstün müsün? O öldü, peygamberler de öldü. Sen kendini kim sanıyorsun?”
54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honors me; of whom all of you say, that he is your God:
İsa şu karşılığı verdi: “Eğer ben kendimi yüceltirsem, yüceliğim hiçtir. Beni yücelten, ‘Tanrımız’ diye çağırdığınız Babam'dır.
55 Yet all of you have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. (logos)
Siz O'nu tanımıyorsunuz, ama ben tanıyorum. O'nu tanımadığımı söylersem, sizin gibi yalancı olurum. Ama ben O'nu tanıyor ve sözüne uyuyorum.
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
Babanız İbrahim günümü göreceği için sevinçle coşmuştu. Gördü ve sevindi.”
57 Then said the Jews unto him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?
Yahudiler, “Sen daha elli yaşında bile değilsin. İbrahim'i de mi gördün?” dediler.
58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
İsa, “Size doğrusunu söyleyeyim, İbrahim doğmadan önce ben varım” dedi.
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
O zaman İsa'yı taşlamak için yerden taş aldılar, ama O gizlenip tapınaktan çıktı.
