Ephesians 6
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
Hijos, obedeced a vuestros padres en el Señor; porque esto es lo justo.
2 Honour your father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
“Honra a tu padre y a tu madre” —es el primer mandamiento con promesa—,
3 That it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.
“para que te vaya bien y tengas larga vida sobre la tierra”.
4 And, all of you fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Y vosotros, padres, no exasperéis a vuestros hijos, sino educadlos en la disciplina y amonestación del Señor.
5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
Siervos, obedeced a los amos según la carne en simplicidad de corazón, con respetuoso temor, como a Cristo.
6 Not with eye-service, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
No ( solo ) sirviéndoles cuando os ven, como los que buscan agradar a hombres, sino como siervos de Cristo que cumplen de corazón la voluntad de Dios;
7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
haciendo de buena gana vuestro servicio, como al Señor, y no a hombres;
8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man does, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
pues sabéis que cada uno, si hace algo bueno, eso mismo recibirá de parte del Señor, sea esclavo o sea libre.
9 And, all of you masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
Y vosotros, amos, haced lo mismo con ellos, y dejad las amenazas, considerando que en los cielos está el Amo de ellos y de vosotros, y que para Él no hay acepción de personas.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Por lo demás, hermanos, confortaos en el Señor y en la fuerza de su poder.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that all of you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Vestíos la armadura de Dios, para poder sosteneros contra los ataques engañosos del diablo.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (aiōn g165)
Porque para nosotros la lucha no es contra sangre y carne, sino contra los principados, contra las potestades, contra los poderes mundanos de estas tinieblas, contra los espíritus de la maldad en lo celestial. (aiōn g165)
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that all of you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Tomad, por eso, la armadura de Dios, para que podáis resistir en el día malo y, habiendo cumplido todo, estar en pie.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
Teneos, pues, firmes, ceñidos los lomos con la verdad y vestidos con la coraza de la justicia,
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
y calzados los pies con la prontitud del Evangelio de la paz.
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith all of you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Embrazad en todas las ocasiones el escudo de la fe, con el cual podréis apagar todos los dardos encendidos del Maligno.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, (pneuma) which is the word (rhema) of God:
Recibid asimismo el yelmo de la salud, y la espada del Espíritu, que es la Palabra de Dios;
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, (pneuma) and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
orando siempre en el Espíritu con toda suerte de oración y plegaria, y velando para ello con toda perseverancia y súplica por todos los santos,
19 And for me, that utterance (logos) may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
y por mí, a fin de que al abrir mi boca se me den palabras para manifestar con denuedo el misterio del Evangelio,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
del cual soy mensajero entre cadenas, y sea yo capaz de anunciarlo con toda libertad, según debo hablar.
21 But that all of you also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
Para que también vosotros sepáis el estado de mis cosas, y lo que hago, todo os lo hará saber Tíquico, el amado hermano y fiel ministro en el Señor,
22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that all of you might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
a quien he enviado a vosotros para esto mismo, para que tengáis noticias de nosotros y para que él consuele vuestros corazones.
23 Peace be to the brethren, and love (agape) with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Paz a los hermanos y amor con fe, de parte de Dios Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
La gracia sea con todos los que aman con incorruptible amor a nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Amén.
