Deuteronomy 32
1 Give ear, O all of you heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
Inclinae os ouvidos, ó céus, e fallarei: e ouça a terra as palavras da minha bocca.
2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
Goteje a minha doutrina como a chuva, distille o meu dito como o orvalho, como chuvisco sobre a herva e como gotas d'agua sobre a relva.
3 Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe all of you greatness unto our God.
Porque apregoarei o nome do Senhor: dae grandeza a nosso Deus.
4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
Elle é a Rocha, cuja obra é perfeita, porque todos os seus caminhos juizo são: Deus é a verdade, e não ha n'elle injustiça; justo e recto é.
5 They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.
Corromperam-se contra elle, seus filhos elles não são, a sua mancha é d'elles: geração perversa e torcida é.
6 Do all of you thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he your father that has bought you? has he not made you, and established you?
Recompensaes assim ao Senhor, povo louco e ignorante? não é elle teu Pae, que te adquiriu, te fez e te estabeleceu?
7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you.
Lembra-te dos dias da antiguidade, attentae para os annos de muitas gerações: pergunta a teu pae, e elle te informará, aos teus anciãos, e elles t'o dirão.
8 When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
Quando o Altissimo distribuia as heranças ás nações, quando dividia os filhos de Adão uns dos outros, os termos dos povos tem posto, conforme ao numero dos filhos d'Israel.
9 For the LORD's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
Porque a porção do Senhor é o seu povo; Jacob é a corda da sua herança.
10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
Achou-o na terra do deserto, e n'um ermo solitario cheio de uivos; trouxe-o ao redor, instruiu-o, guardou-o como a menina do seu olho.
11 As an eagle stirs up her nest, flutteres over her young, spreads abroad her wings, takes them, bears them on her wings:
Como a aguia desperta o seu ninho, se move sobre os seus filhos, estende as suas azas, toma-os, e os leva sobre as suas azas,
12 So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
Assim só o Senhor o guiou: e não havia com elle deus estranho.
13 He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;
Elle o fez cavalgar sobre as alturas da terra, e comeu as novidades do campo, e o fez chupar mel da rocha e azeite da dura pederneira,
14 Butter of cattle, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and you did drink the pure blood of the grape.
Manteiga de vaccas, e leite do rebanho, com a gordura dos cordeiros e dos carneiros que pastam em Basan, e dos bodes, com gordura dos rins do trigo; e bebeste o sangue das uvas, o vinho puro.
15 But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: you are becoming fat, you are grown thick, you are covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
E, engordando-se Jeshurun, deu coices; engordaste-te, engrossaste-te, e de gordura te cobriste: e deixou a Deus, que o fez, e desprezou a Rocha da sua salvação.
16 They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.
Com deuses estranhos o provocaram a zelos; com abominações o irritaram.
17 They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
Sacrificios offereceram aos diabos, não a Deus; aos deuses que não conheceram, novos deuses que vieram ha pouco, dos quaes não se estremeceram vossos paes.
18 Of the Rock that brings forth you you are unmindful, and have forgotten God that formed you.
Esqueceste-te da Rocha que te gerou; e em esquecimento puzeste o Deus que te formou.
19 And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.
O que vendo o Senhor, os desprezou, provocado á ira contra seus filhos e suas filhas;
20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very perverse generation, children in whom is no faith.
E disse: Esconderei o meu rosto d'elles, verei qual será o seu fim; porque são geração de perversidade, filhos em quem não ha lealdade.
21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
A zelos me provocaram com aquillo que não é Deus; com as suas vaidades me provocaram á ira; portanto eu os provocarei a zelos com os que não são povo; com nação louca os despertarei á ira.
22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the low hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. (Sheol h7585)
Porque um fogo se accendeu na minha ira, e arderá até ao mais profundo do inferno, e consummirá a terra com a sua novidade, e abrazará os fundamentos dos montes. (Sheol h7585)
23 I will heap evil upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.
Males amontoarei sobre elles; as minhas settas esgotarei contra elles.
24 They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.
Exhaustos serão de fome, comidos de carbunculo e de peste amarga: e entre elles enviarei dentes de feras, com ardente peçonha de serpentes do pó.
25 The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the nursing infant also with the man of gray hairs.
Por fóra devastará a espada, e por dentro o pavor: ao mancebo, juntamente com a virgem, assim á creança de mama, como ao homem de cãs
26 I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
Eu dizia: Em todos os cantos os espalharia; faria cessar a sua memoria d'entre os homens,
27 Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD has not done all this.
Se eu não receiara a ira do inimigo, para que os seus adversarios o não estranhassem, e para que não digam: A nossa mão está alta; o Senhor não fez tudo isto.
28 For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.
Porque são gente falta de conselhos, e n'elles não ha entendimento.
29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
Oxalá elles fossem sabios! que isto entendessem, e attentassem para o seu fim!
30 How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?
Como pode ser que um só perseguisse mil, e dois fizessem fugir dez mil, se a sua Rocha os não vendera, e o Senhor os não entregara?
31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
Porque a sua rocha não é como a nossa Rocha; sendo até os nossos inimigos juizes d'isto.
32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:
Porque a sua vinha é a vinha de Sodoma e dos campos de Gomorrha: as suas uvas são uvas de fel, cachos amargosos teem.
33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.
O seu vinho é ardente veneno de dragões, e peçonha cruel de viboras.
34 Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?
Não está isto encerrado comigo? sellado nos meus thesouros?
35 To me belongs vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.
Minha é a vingança e a recompensa, ao tempo que resvalar o seu pé: porque o dia da sua ruina está proximo, e as coisas que lhes hão de succeder, se apressam a chegar.
36 For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.
Porque o Senhor fará justiça ao seu povo, e se arrependerá pelos seus servos: porquanto o poder d'elle foi-se, e não ha fechado nem desamparado.
37 And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,
Então dirá: Onde estão os seus deuses? a rocha em quem confiavam,
38 Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.
De cujos sacrificios comiam a gordura, e de cujas libações bebiam o vinho? levantem-se, e vos ajudem, para que haja para vós escondedouro.
39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
Vêde agora que Eu, Eu O sou, e mais nenhum Deus comigo: Eu mato, e Eu faço viver: Eu firo, e Eu saro: e ninguem ha que escape da minha mão.
40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.
Porque levantarei a minha mão aos céus, e direi: Eu vivo para sempre.
41 If I sharpen my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
Se eu afiar a minha espada reluzente, e se travar do juizo a minha mão, farei tornar a vingança sobre os meus adversarios, e recompensarei aos meus aborrecedores.
42 I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.
Embriagarei as minhas settas de sangue, e a minha espada comerá carne: do sangue dos mortos e dos prisioneiros, desde a cabeça, haverá vinganças do inimigo.
43 Rejoice, O all of you nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.
Jubilae, ó nações, com o seu povo, porque vingará o sangue dos seus servos, e sobre os seus adversarios fará tornar a vingança, e terá misericordia da sua terra e do seu povo.
44 And Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.
E veiu Moysés, e fallou todas as palavras d'este cantico aos ouvidos do povo, elle e Hosea, filho de Nun.
45 And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:
E, acabando Moysés de fallar todas estas palavras a todo o Israel,
46 And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which all of you shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.
Disse-lhes: Applicae o vosso coração a todas as palavras que hoje testifico entre vós, para que as recommendeis a vossos filhos, para que tenham cuidado de fazerem todas as palavras d'esta lei.
47 For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing all of you shall prolong your days in the land, where all of you go over Jordan to possess it.
Porque esta palavra não vos é vã, antes é a vossa vida; e por esta mesma palavra prolongareis os dias na terra a que passaes o Jordão a possuil-a.
48 And the LORD spoke unto Moses that very same day, saying,
Depois fallou o Senhor a Moysés, n'aquelle mesmo dia, dizendo:
49 Get you up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is opposite to Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:
Sobe ao monte d'Abarim, ao monte Nebo, que está na terra de Moab, defronte de Jericó, e vê a terra de Canaan, que darei aos filhos de Israel por possessão.
50 And die in the mount where you go up, and be gathered unto your people; as Aaron your brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
E morre no monte, ao qual subirás; e recolhe-te aos teus povos, como Aarão teu irmão morreu no monte de Hor, e se recolheu aos seus povos.
51 Because all of you trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of MeribahKadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because all of you sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
Porquanto traspassastes contra mim no meio dos filhos de Israel, ás aguas da contenção em Cades, no deserto de Zin: pois me não sanctificastes no meio doe filhos de Israel.
52 Yet you shall see the land before you; but you shall not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.
Pelo que verás a terra diante de ti, porém não entrarás n'ella, na terra que darei aos filhos de Israel.
