Colossians 1
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,
神の御心によりてキリスト・イエスの使徒となれるパウロ及び兄弟テモテ、
2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
書をコロサイに居る聖徒、キリストにありて忠實なる兄弟に贈る。願はくは我らの父なる神より賜ふ恩惠と平安と汝らに在らんことを。
3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
我らは常に汝らの爲に祈りて、我らの主イエス・キリストの父なる神に感謝す。
4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the (agape) love which all of you have to all the saints,
これキリスト・イエスを信ずる汝らの信仰と、凡ての聖徒に對する汝らの愛とにつきて聞きたればなり。
5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof all of you heard before in the (logos) word of the truth of the gospel;
かく聖徒を愛するは、汝らの爲に天に蓄へあるものを望むに因る。この望のことは汝らに及べる福音の眞の言によりて汝らが曾て聞きし所なり。
6 Which has come unto you, as it is in all the world; and brings forth fruit, as it does also in you, since the day all of you heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:
この福音は全世界にも及び、果を結びて増々 大になれり。汝らが神の恩惠をききて眞に之を知りし日より、汝らの中に然りしが如し。
7 As all of you also learned of Epaphras our dear fellow servant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;
汝らが、我らと共に僕たる愛するエパフラスより學びたるは、この福音なり。彼は汝らの爲にキリストの忠實なる役者にして、
8 Who also declared unto us your (agape) love in the (pneuma) Spirit.
汝らが御靈によりて懷ける愛を我らに告げたり。
9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that all of you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
この故に我らこの事を聞きし日より、汝 等のために絶えず祈りかつ求むるは、汝ら靈のもろもろの知慧と穎悟とをもて神の御意を具に知り、
10 That all of you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
凡てのこと主を悦ばせんが爲に、その御意に從ひて歩み、凡ての善き業によりて果を結び、いよいよ神を知り、
11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
また神の榮光の勢威に隨ひて賜ふもろもろの力によりて強くなり、凡ての事よろこびて忍び、かつ耐へ、
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
而して我らを光にある聖徒の嗣業に與るに足る者とし給ひし父に感謝せん事なり。
13 Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his (agape) dear Son:
父は我らを暗黒の權威より救ひ出して、その愛しみ給ふ御子の國に遷したまへり。
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
我らは御子に在りて贖罪すなはち罪の赦を得るなり。
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
彼は見 得べからざる神の像にして、萬の造られし物の先に生れ給へる者なり。
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
萬の物は彼によりて造らる、天に在るもの、地に在るもの、見ゆるもの、見えぬもの、或は位、あるひは支配、あるひは政治、あるひは權威、みな彼によりて造られ、彼のために造られたればなり。
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
彼は萬の物より先にあり、萬の物は彼によりて保つことを得るなり。
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
而して彼はその體なる教會の首なり、彼は始にして死人の中より最先に生れ給ひし者なり。これ凡ての事に就きて長とならん爲なり。
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;
神は凡ての滿ち足れる徳を彼に宿して、
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
その十字架の血によりて平和をなし、或は地にあるもの、或は天にあるもの、萬の物をして己と和がしむるを善しとし給ひたればなり。
21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciled
汝 等もとは惡しき業を行ひて神に遠ざかり、心にて其の敵となりしが、
22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and irreproachable in his sight:
今は神キリストの肉の體をもて、其の死により汝 等をして己と和がしめ、潔く瑕なく責むべき所なくして、己の前に立たしめんし給ふなり。
23 If all of you continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which all of you have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
汝 等もし信仰に止り、之に基きて堅く立ち、福音の望より移らずば、斯くせらるることを得べし。此の福音は汝らの聞きし所、また天の下なる凡ての造られし物に宣傳へられたるものにして、我パウロはその役者となれり。
24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
われ今なんぢらの爲に受くる苦難を喜び、又キリストの體なる教會のために、我が身をもてキリストの患難の缺けたるを補ふ。
25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the (logos) word of God;
われ神より汝 等のために與へられたる職に隨ひて教會の役者となれり。
26 Even the mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: (aiōn g165)
これ神の言、すなはち歴世 歴代かくれて、今 神の聖徒に顯れたる奧義を宣傳へんとてなり。 (aiōn g165)
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
神は聖徒をして異邦人の中なるこの奧義の榮光の富の如何ばかりなるかを知らしめんと欲し給へり、此の奧義は汝らの中に在すキリストにして榮光の望なり。
28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
我らは此のキリストを傳へ、知慧を盡して凡ての人を訓戒し、凡ての人を教ふ。これ凡ての人をしてキリストに在り、全くなりて神の前に立つことを得しめん爲なり。
29 Unto which I also labour, striving according to his working, which works in me mightily.
われ之がために我が衷に能力をもて働き給ふものの活動にしたがひ、力を盡して勞するなり。
