2 Timothy 2
1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
Итак укрепляйся, сын мой, в благодати Христом Иисусом,
2 And the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit you to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
и что слышал от меня при многих свидетелях, то передай верным людям, которые были бы способны и других научить.
3 You therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
Итак переноси страдания, как добрый воин Иисуса Христа.
4 No man that wars entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier.
Никакой воин не связывает себя делами житейскими, чтобы угодить военачальнику.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
Если же кто и подвизается, не увенчивается, если незаконно будет подвизаться.
6 The farmer that labours must be first partaker of the fruits.
Трудящемуся земледельцу первому должно вкусить от плодов.
7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give you understanding in all things.
Разумей, что я говорю. Да даст тебе Господь разумение во всем.
8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
Помни Господа Иисуса Христа от семени Давидова, воскресшего из мертвых, по благовествованию моему,
9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word (logos) of God is not bound.
за которое я страдаю даже до уз, как злодей; но для слова Божия нет уз.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (aiōnios g166)
Посему я все терплю ради избранных, дабы и они получили спасение во Христе Иисусе с вечною славою. (aiōnios g166)
11 It is a faithful saying: (logos) For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
Верно слово: если мы с Ним умерли, то с Ним и оживем;
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
если терпим, то с Ним и царствовать будем; если отречемся, и Он отречется от нас;
13 If we believe not, yet he abides faithful: he cannot deny himself.
если мы неверны, Он пребывает верен, ибо Себя отречься не может.
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
Сие напоминай, заклиная пред Господом не вступать в словопрения, что нимало не служит к пользе, а к расстройству слушающих.
15 Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word (logos) of truth.
Старайся представить себя Богу достойным, делателем неукоризненным, верно преподающим слово истины.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
А непотребного пустословия удаляйся; ибо они еще более будут преуспевать в нечестии,
17 And their word (logos) will eat as does a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
и слово их, как рак, будет распространяться. Таковы Именей и Филит,
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
которые отступили от истины, говоря, что воскресение уже было, и разрушают в некоторых веру.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows them that are his. And, Let every one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Но твердое основание Божие стоит, имея печать сию: “познал Господь Своих”; и: “да отступит от неправды всякий, исповедующий имя Господа”.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
А в большом доме есть сосуды не только золотые и серебряные, но и деревянные и глиняные; и одни в почетном, а другие в низком употреблении.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
Итак кто будет чист от сего, тот будет сосудом в чести, освященным и благопотребным Владыке, годным на всякое доброе дело.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, love, (agape) peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Юношеских похотей убегай, а держись правды, веры, любви, мира со всеми призывающими Господа от чистого сердца.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
От глупых и невежественных состязаний уклоняйся, зная, что они рождают ссоры;
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, able to teach, patient,
рабу же Господа не должно ссориться, но быть приветливым ко всем, учительным, незлобивым,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God possibly will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
с кротостью наставлять противников, не даст ли им Бог покаяния к познанию истины,
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
чтобы они освободились от сети диавола, который уловил их в свою волю.
