< 2 Timothy 1 >

1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
I Paoly, Firàhe’ Iesoà Norizañey ami’ty satrin’ arofon’ Añahare, amam-pitamàn-kaveloñe am’ Iesoà Norizañey.
2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ho a i Timoty, anake kokoako: Hasoa naho tretre vaho ty fañanintsin’ Añahare Rae naho i Talèntika Iesoà Norizañey.
3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of you in my prayers night and day;
Andriañeko t’Andrianañahare italahoako manahak’ an-droaeko an-kazavan-troke, le mahatiahy azo nainai’e iraho am-pilolofako handro an-kaleñe;
4 Greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy;
le misalala hahatrea azo amy fitiahiako i ranomaso’oy, hahaliforañ’ ahy an-kaehake,
5 When I call to remembrance the sincere faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in you also.
ie tiahiko ty fatokisan-tò an-tro’o ao, ze nimoneñe heike tañova’ i Loizae renebei’o naho amy Eonikae rene’o vaho atokisako te ama’o ka.
6 Wherefore I put you in remembrance that you stir up the gift of God, which is in you by the putting on of my hands.
Izay ty añosihako azo ty hampibelañe i falalàn’ Añaharey ama’o añamy nanampezan-tañakoy.
7 For God has not given us the spirit (pneuma) of fear; but of power, and of love, (agape) and of a sound mind.
Toe tsy tinolon’ Añahare troke mimalimalitse tika, fa ty arofon-kaozarañe naho ty fikokoañe, vaho ty filieram-batañe.
8 Be not you therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be you partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
Aa le ko salareñe ty talili’ i Talèntikañey, naho izaho mpirohi’e, fe mitraofa amako ami’ty falovilovia’ i talili-soay amy haozaran’ Añaharey,
9 Who has saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, (aiōnios g166)
i fa nandrombake antika naho nikanjy antika am-pikanjiañe miavake, tsy ty amo fitoloñan-tikañeo, fa amy satrin’ arofo’ey naho i falalàñe natolotse antika am’ Iesoà Norizañey taolo’ ty fifotora’ o sàoy, (aiōnios g166)
10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who has abolished death, and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
f’ie naboake henane zao ami’ty fitotsaha’ i Mpandrombak’ antika Iesoà Norizañey, i nandrotsake i havilasiiy vaho ninday haveloñe naho tsi-fihomahañe mb’ an-kazavàñe mb’eo amy talili-soay,
11 Unto which I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
i nanendreañe ahy ho mpitaroñe naho Firàheñe naho mpañokey.
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
I hoe zay ty isotriako o raha zao; fe tsy salatse, fantako i Fiatoakoy, vaho atokisako t’ie mahafihaja i nampañajako azey ampara’ i àndroy.
13 Hold fast the form of sound words, (logos) which you have heard of me, in faith and love (agape) which is in Christ Jesus.
Tambozoro ami’ty fatokisa’o naho fikokoa’o am’ Iesoà Norizañey ty vente’ o tsara-kanintsiñe tsinano’o tamakoo.
14 That good thing which was committed unto you keep by the Holy Spirit (pneuma) which dwells in us.
Vontitiro o raha soa natolotse azoo ami’ ty fañimbà’ i Arofo Masiñe mimoneñe añovan-tikañey.
15 This you know, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
Apota’o te fonga niamboho ahy i e Asia añe rey miharo amy Figelo vaho i Hermogena.
16 The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:
Ehe te ho tretreze’ i Talè o añ’anjomba’ i Onesiforoseo, fa beteke nampanintsiñe ahiko vaho tsy nahameñatse aze o silisilikoo,
17 But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.
f’ie te Roma le nitsoek’ ahy ampara’ te nioni’e.
18 The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, you know very well.
Hatolo’ i Talè aze abey ty hahaoniña’e tretrè amy Talè amy andro zay! Ie fohi’o soa o sata maro nitoroña’e ahiko e Efesosy añeo.
