2 Corinthians 9
1 For as concerning the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
Respecto al socorro en favor de los santos no necesito escribiros.
2 For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal has provoked very many.
Pues conozco vuestra prontitud de ánimo, por la cual me glorío de vosotros entre los macedonios ( diciéndoles ), que Acaya está ya pronta desde el año pasado, y vuestro celo ha estimulado a muchísimos.
3 Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, all of you may be ready:
Envío, empero, a los hermanos, para que nuestra gloria acerca de vosotros no quede vana en este punto y para que, según he dicho, estéis preparados;
4 Lest lest by any means if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, all of you) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
no sea que si vinieren conmigo macedonios y os hallaren desprevenidos, tengamos nosotros —por no decir vosotros— que avergonzarnos en esta materia.
5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof all of you had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.
Tuve, pues, por necesario rogar a los hermanos que se adelantasen en ir a vosotros, y preparasen de antemano vuestra bendición ya prometida, de manera que esté a punto como bendición y no como avaricia.
6 But this I say, He which sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which sows bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Pues digo: El que siembra con mezquindad, con mezquindad cosechará, y el que siembra en bendiciones, bendiciones recogerá.
7 Every man according as he purposes in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver.
Haga cada cual según tiene determinado en su corazón, no de mala gana, ni por fuerza; porque dador alegre ama Dios.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that all of you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
Y poderoso es Dios para hacer abundar sobre vosotros toda gracia a fin de que, teniendo siempre todo lo suficiente en todo, os quede abundantemente para toda obra buena,
9 (As it is written, He has dispersed abroad; he has given to the poor: his righteousness remains for ever. (aiōn g165)
según está escrito: “Desparramó, dando a los pobres; su justicia permanece para siempre”. (aiōn g165)
10 Now he that ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; )
Y el que suministra semilla al que siembra, dará también pan para alimento, y multiplicará vuestra sementera y acrecentará los frutos de vuestra justicia,
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causes through us thanksgiving to God.
de modo que seáis en todo enriquecidos para toda liberalidad, la cual por medio de nosotros produce acción de gracias a Dios.
12 For the administration of this service not only supplies the lack of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
Porque el ministerio de esta oblación no solo remedia las necesidades de los santos, sino que también redunda en copiosas acciones de gracias a Dios.
13 While by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
Pues al experimentar este servicio glorifican a Dios por la obediencia que profesáis al Evangelio de Cristo, y por la liberalidad con que comunicáis lo vuestro a ellos y a todos.
14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.
Y ellos, a su vez, ruegan por vosotros, amándoos ardientemente a causa de la sobreexcelente gracia de Dios derramada sobre vosotros.
15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
¡Gracias a Dios por su inefable don!
