1 Thessalonians 1

1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

Daa yɛda Onyankopɔn ase ma mo, na yɛkae mo wɔ yɛn mpaebɔ mu nso.

3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, (agape) and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

Efisɛ yɛkae mo gyidi a mode di dwuma, mo dɔ a ɛma mutumi de nsi yɛ adwuma ne mo anidaso dennen a mowɔ wɔ yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo mu no wɔ yɛn Nyankopɔn ne Agya no anim.

4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

Anuanom, yenim sɛ Onyankopɔn dɔ mo nti na wayi mo sɛ ɔno ankasa ne de no.

5 For our gospel came not unto you in word (logos) only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, (pneuma) and in much assurance; as all of you know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

Sɛ yɛbɛkaa Asɛmpa no kyerɛɛ mo a, ɛnyɛ nsɛm bi kwa, na mmom yegyina tumi ne Honhom Kronkron ne mu nokware mu gyidi so. Munim nnipa ko a na yɛyɛ ɛne sɛnea yɛboaa mo fae.

6 And all of you became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word (logos) in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit. (pneuma)

Musuasuaa yɛn ne Awurade; ɛwɔ mu sɛ muhuu amane de, nanso mode anigye a efi Honhom Kronkron no mu gyee asɛm no.

7 So that all of you were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

Ɛnam so ma mobɛyɛɛ nhwɛso maa agyidifo a wɔwɔ Makedonia ne Hela nyinaa.

8 For from you sounded out the word (logos) of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.

Nsɛm a moka faa Awurade ho no ankɔ Makedonia ne Hela nko, na mmom gyidi a mowɔ wɔ Onyankopɔn mu no ho asɛm adu baabiara. Asɛm biara nni hɔ a ɛsɛ sɛ yɛka bio.

9 For they themselves show of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how all of you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
