1 Thessalonians 1

1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

١ مِنْ بُولُسَ وَسِلْوَانُسَ وَتِيمُوثَاوُسَ، إِلَى كَنِيسَةِ مُؤْمِنِي تَسَالُونِيكِي الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي اللهِ الآبِ وَالرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ. لِتَكُنْ لَكُمُ النِّعْمَةُ وَالسَّلامُ مِنَ اللهِ أَبِينَا وَالرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ.

2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

٢ إِنَّنَا نَشْكُرُ اللهَ دَائِماً مِنْ أَجْلِكُمْ جَمِيعاً، إِذْ نَذْكُرُكُمْ فِي صَلَوَاتِنَا دُونَ تَوَقُّفٍ؛

3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, (agape) and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

٣ مُتَذَكِّرِينَ، أَمَامَ إِلَهِنَا وَأَبِينَا، مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ عَمَلِ الإِيمَانِ وَاجْتِهَادِ الْمَحَبَّةِ وَثَبَاتِ الرَّجَاءِ، فِي رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ؛

4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

٤ وَنَحْنُ عَالِمُونَ، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَةُ أَحِبَّاءَ اللهِ، حَقِيقَةَ اخْتِيَارِكُمْ مِنْ قِبَلِ اللهِ:

5 For our gospel came not unto you in word (logos) only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, (pneuma) and in much assurance; as all of you know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

٥ لأَنَّ تَبْشِيرَنَا لَكُمْ بِالإِنْجِيلِ لَمْ يَكُنْ مُجَرَّدَ كَلامٍ، بَلْ كَانَ مَصْحُوباً أَيْضاً بِالْقُوَّةِ وَبِالرُّوحِ الْقُدُسِ وَبِتَمَامِ الْيَقِينِ. كَمَا أَنَّكُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ تَمَاماً مَاذَا كُنَّا بَيْنَكُمْ لأَجْلِ مَصْلَحَتِكُمْ،

6 And all of you became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word (logos) in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit. (pneuma)

٦ وَقَدْ صِرْتُمْ مُقْتَدِينَ بِنَا وَبِالرَّبِّ، إِذْ تَقَبَّلْتُمْ كَلِمَةَ اللهِ فِي وَسَطِ ضِيقَةٍ شَدِيدَةٍ بِفَرَحِ الرُّوحِ الْقُدُسِ.

7 So that all of you were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

٧ حَتَّى إِنَّكُمْ صِرْتُمْ مِثَالاً لِجَمِيعِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الْمُقِيمِينَ فِي مُقَاطَعَتَيْ مَقِدُونِيَّةَ وَأَخَائِيَةَ.

8 For from you sounded out the word (logos) of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.

٨ فَمِنْ عِنْدِكُمْ دَوَّتْ كَلِمَةُ الرَّبِّ، مُنْتَشِرَةً لَا فِي مَقِدُونِيَّةَ وَأَخَائِيَةَ فَقَطْ، بَلْ إِنَّ إِيمَانَكُمْ بِاللهِ ذَاعَ فِي كُلِّ مَكَانٍ، حَتَّى لَيْسَ لَنَا حَاجَةٌ لأَنْ نَقُولَ شَيْئاً بَعْدُ.

9 For they themselves show of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how all of you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

٩ فَإِنَّ أُولئِكَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ يُخْبِرُونَ عَنَّا كَيْفَ كَانَ قُدُومُنَا إِلَيْكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ، وَكَيْفَ تَحَوَّلْتُمْ إِلَى اللهِ عَنِ الأَصْنَامِ، لِتَصِيرُوا عَبِيداً يَخْدِمُونَ اللهَ الْحَيَّ الْحَقَّ،

10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

١٠ وَتَنْتَظِرُوا مِنَ السَّمَاوَاتِ ابْنَهُ الَّذِي أَقَامَهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ الأَمْوَاتِ، يَسُوعَ مُخَلِّصَنَا مِنَ الْغَضَبِ الآتِي.
